Year 2
Intercontinental Championship
(Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match):
Joseph T. Lutte (C) vs. Craig Bullet vs. Zach Wesley vs. Rusty
The "Fantastic Frenchman" seemed to always annoy the wrong people, and this month it was Smackdown GM Teddy Long. Joseph continued to bother him, asking him to hold a celebratory ceremony to declare the Frenchman to be the greatest Intercontinental champ of all time. Of course Teddy refused and offered Lutte a different prize instead... the chance to watch 3 qualifying matches for I.C. title shots! The Frenchman was furious that the GM would give 3 challengers a shot at his belt, but he had no choice. Craig Bullet, Zach Wesley and Lutte's recent rival Rusty all won matches and prepared to take on the feisty European grappler.
All 4 men began the elimination-style bout in hot fashion, brawling as soon as the bell rang. Zach attacked Craig while Lutte went after Rusty, but it didn't take long for both high flyers to change the momentum.
Craig was the first to be eliminated when Rusty caught him with his Rusty Nail signature and scored the pinfall. The "Maniac" used his brute strength to really put a beating on the remaining two competitors, but Lutte's sneaky ways allowed him to take control. While the ref checked on a downed Rusty, Lutte nailed Wesley with a low blow. He quickly followed it up with his Snap Decision signature, which dazed the "Maniac". Zach crawled to the corner and got back to his feet, but Lutte surprised him with his Family Jewel signature kick! With Zach really feeling the pain down below, Lutte scored the pinfall to get the next elimination!
So it was down to Rusty and Joseph again. The two circled each other carefully and locked up. Rusty managed to get control with his well-timed counters and acrobatic moves, but when he tried for the Rusty Wheel splash off the turnbuckle, the Frenchman moved just in time and Rusty went crashing hard on the mat! Lutte's great timing left Rusty in a world of pain, which allowed Lutte to land his Moneymaker finisher and get the final pinfall to retain the title!
The Frenchman hugged the title to his chest and laughed sarcastically as he celebrated yet another title defense. Rusty rose from the mat slowly and was visibly upset at the loss.
WINNER (and still Intercontinental Champion): Joseph T. Lutte

Backstage Segment
In the locker room, we see DMK arrive for the night. He is not scheduled to wrestle, but he seems to be prepared for anything. While he unpacks, a visitor approaches.
Renegade: "King! What's going on man?"
The WWE champ joyfully steps close, title belt slung over his shoulder. He smiles and extends his hand. DMK looks down at it briefly, then slowly meets his for a handshake.
DMK: "Nothing much. Just arrived. You ready for your match tonight?"
Renegade: "More than ever! You know, I just came by to thank you."
DMK: "... For what?"
Renegade: "For helping me out these past few weeks. I know you've been battling those Badass losers for a while now. Once I beat David to win the title, I knew I was going to be their #1 target. I'm glad I found someone I could trust to have my back."
DMK looked at him for a few moments with a very blank expression.
DMK: "No problem."
Renegade: "Yeah I figured you would be modest about it. Always are. Anyway, thanks again. I really appreciate it. Let me know if you need anything."
Renegade pats DMK lightly on the shoulder, nods and walks out. DMK watches him leave with a very peculiar look on his face. What could be going on in his head?

Unified Tag Team Championship:
American Cool (C) vs. Vincent Serum & Hitman Jack
The super team of Antonio Jordan & Krizz Torture had a great month of July after winning the Tag titles at the Bash PPV, getting lots of positive fan support and the envy of others. Two teams in particular laid claim to be the next challengers for the Tag Team belts: the "Vicious Vampire" & Hitman, and Billy Carter & Zach Wesley. Earlier in the month, Serum & Hitman were scheduled to face Parker & Coop in a #1 Contender's match, but Billy & Zach attacked the Olympic duo backstage. Billy & Zach then dragged their limp bodies out onto the ramp and stole their spot in the #1 Contender's match! But as fate would have it, Serum & Hitman won the match and earned their shot against the American Cool fan favorites.
Krizz & Antonio elected to make their entrance first, and the crowd erupted in cheers as the champs strolled to the ring with a lot of confidence and energy. Serum & Hitman then came out but as they approached the ring... Billy & Zach jumped them from behind! The scorned duo beat up on the challengers, and then simply rolled their weakened bodies into the ring! Krizz & Antonio watched on in shock and then looked at each other in confusion as the ref called for the bell!
Antonio picked the dazed Serum up, and was able to quickly hit his American Dream finisher! Krizz then kept Hitman at bay while Antonio got the quick pinfall to help them retain the titles! The champs celebrated mildly as they knew that it was a cheap victory due to the interference. Serum & Hitman slowly came to their senses and seemed very angry at the results!
WINNERS (and still Unified Tag Team Champions): American Cool (Antonio Jordan & Krizz Torture)

Backstage Segment
Justin Roberts introduced an interview with none other than... Carson Pain! "The Original" graced the screen and obviously had a lot on his mind.
Justin: "Carson, no match tonight but it seems clear that you still want to make an impact here this evening."
Carson: "Of course I do, Justin. It's been very tough for me to sit here at the Night of Champions PPV and come to grips with the fact of I am not a champion nor do I have a current title shot. Ever since I've been drafted to the Raw brand it seems like I've had to start from the bottom of the ladder. There's something strange about the Raw brand right now. Too many people walking around here with too much power for their own good. Now me, I prefer to forge my own path and work hard to earn my shots. I'm not going to play the backstage politics game."
Justin: "Are you referring to anyone in particular?"
Carson: "I'm not going to play the blame game either, Justin. All I know is that when I was on Smackdown, I was a 2-time World Heavyweight champ, an Intercontinental champ and basically the top performer on the roster. Then I switch to Raw, I earn the #1 contender for the WWE title... and I get placed in a 4-way match. Then, my girlfriend kicks me in the nuts after the match! Then it's been nearly 3 months and I've had 1 PPV match since then. What's the deal?"
Justin: "I see. So what are your plans?"
Carson: "Well first I'm going to..."
And suddenly out of nowhere, Carson gets attacked from behind! The attacker is wearing a hoodie and slams Carson onto a nearby steel crate, and then kicks a door right into his face! "The Original" writhes in pain as the attacker turns to the camera, pulls back his hood... and reveals himself to be David Degenerate! The "Dangerous Genius" laughs and snatches the microphone from Justin. He crouches down near Carson.
David: "Your plans... are irrelevant."
David then drops the mic onto Carson's chest and walks away. The camera zooms in on a grimacing Carson as the segment ends.

United States Championship (First Blood Match):
Rebel Ford (C) vs. Travis Roarke
The feud between Rebel and the "Assassin" over the U.S. title had been a fierce and violent battle, but it seemed like it was finally going to reach a conclusion at Night of Champions. The two had each found ways to beat the other soundly, with each man left a broken bloody mess at different times over the last few months. So the two came to an agreement over the stipulation of this match... the first man to bleed is the loser!
The two men made their entrances and the ringing of the bell started the brawl! The angry rivals traded blows early, hoping to very quickly force the other to wear the crimson mask. Travis' fighting skills gave him the early advantage, but Rebel's technical skills and well-executed suplexes turned the momentum.
Once the weapons came out, the battle got ugly! Rebel delivered a few hard chair shots, while Roarke showed off his skills with the kendo stick. The steel steps also got involved when Travis sent the champ flying into them. In retaliation, Rebel picked them up and slammed them right into Travis' forehead! The crowd gasped and swooned over the violence taking place in this title bout.
In the end, it was a sledgehammer that decided the match. While Rebel lay prone in the ring, Travis hopped out and grabbed the weapon from under the ring. He slid back in and swung it... but Rebel moved! The hammer bounced off the mat and threw Roarke off balance, and the resilient champ pounced up and snatched the loose weapon! He wound up and placed a perfectly-aimed shot right into Roarke's skull, which sent the blood flying!
The ref checked on Travis and saw the blood leak from a gash in his forehead, and called for the bell! Rebel dropped to his knees and celebrated the title defense in exhausted fashion, knowing he had just went through hell to keep his belt! After the match, Travis approached Rebel... and the two shook hands! Roarke then raised Rebel's hand in a great sign of sportsmanship between these two grapplers!

World Heavyweight Championship (No DQ Match):
Eric Executioner (C) vs. Ace
Last month at The Bash PPV, Eric retained his World title in ugly fashion when he purposefully smacked Ace with the belt in plain view of the ref to take the DQ loss. Since titles can't change hands due to DQ, Eric walked out with the belt but it left Ace in a very angry and unsatisfied mood. The "Ultimate Superstar" called out the champ on a recent Smackdown, demanding a "fair" title shot and motivated to beat Eric once and for all. Smackdown GM Teddy Long saw the situation the same way and granted Ace his request... in a No DQ match! The narcissist was angry at the decision and Ace's sudden turn in the fan's favor, and promised to make his challenger pay dearly.
Ace entered to the cheers of the crowd, and seemed to enjoy the fan's support for the first time in a while. The crowd's reaction turned sour when the champ came out, clearly smug and ready to release his rage. He taunted Ace with the belt, raising it high and shaking it in Ace's direction. When the bell rang, Ace attacked! The athletic star punched hard on the champ, and then hit him with an impressive suplex. Eric powered out of the early pinfall attempt, but Ace continued the barrage! He seemed to really have control for the first part of the match, which seemed to frustrate the champ more and more.
During the course of the match, Eric's anger seemed to finally boil over and he simply snapped. Ace went for a swinging neckbreaker, but Eric reversed and slammed his challenger hard to the mat. With his foe dazed, Eric slid out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair. He re-entered the ring... and began to blast Ace with vicious shots! He smacked the chair onto his chest and back, causing Ace to groan in pain! When the "Ultimate Superstar" made it back to his feet, Eric met him with a teeth-chattering whack right to the skull! The crowd was stunned at the sudden violent streak shown by the narcissist, and gasped at nearly every hard shot.
With Ace reeling, Eric wanted to put the match away and grabbed the big gold belt. In very similar fashion to their match last month, Eric waited for Ace to face him... and then clobbered him with the belt! But with the No DQ stipulation in play, the ref had no choice but to watch in horror. Eric then picked Ace off the mat, snatched him by the throat and finished him with a Final Verdict! The ref counted the 1-2-3 and Eric celebrated his shockingly brutal victory. The crowd jeered as Eric stood over his beaten challenger with his title swinging slowly at his side.

Post-Match Segment
After the match, medical personnel climbed into the ring to check on Ace. The "Ultimate Superstar" was clearly in a great deal of pain, and blood was trickling down his face. The medics signaled for a stretcher, and slowly lifted Ace onto it. The crowd watched on in fear as they slowly wheeled him out of the ring, but they burst into applause and cheers when Ace raised a thumbs-up sign!
The medical crew pushed the stretcher into an ambulance and the vehicle took off for a nearby hospital, with Ace in tow.

WWE Championship:
Renegade (C) vs. Big Mutha Trucker
In a surprising turn of events, Trucker and Badass Coalition stablemate David D. faced off on a recent Raw show to determine the #1 Contender for Renegade's WWE title. The "Dangerous Genius" failed last month in his quest to reclaim the title from Renegade, which opened the door for Trucker to stake a new claim. The match had a very strange vibe to it, and the shocking ending had everyone's jaw on the floor... Trucker won! The "Resident Redneck" had beaten his own friend to earn a shot at the WWE title!
Renegade and Trucker then had a battle of wits as the Night of Champions PPV approached, trying to gain some type of advantage over the other before their battle began. Renegade found an unlikely friend in DMK to help him in overcoming the Badass Coalition and their dirty tactics. When the main event finally came, the crowd was at a fever pitch awaiting the matchup!
Trucker entered first, and ignored the obvious disapproval of the crowd. When Renegade's music blasted through the arena sound system, the crowd went wild! The revolutionary party animal fired up the fans, and showed off his title belt proudly! The two rivals glared at each other as the ref called for the bell, and then locked up to begin the match!
A battle of power versus agility took place as Trucker and Renegade battled over the WWE title. Trucker's tough fighting style and power moves kept Renegade reeling, but the champ fired back with a nasty array of kicks and athletic moves. Fans were on the edges of their seats as the intensity built with every big move.
In the end, Renegade took control and countered Trucker's mistakes. After knocking Trucker down, he blasted him with his Boot Down signature! The crowd started to rise to their feet in anticipation of Renegade's finisher... and he nailed a dazed "Redneck" with a Kick-olution! The crowd chanted with the ref's count of 1-2-3, and then erupted in cheers as Renegade completed another title defense!
The champ exhaustedly celebrated, holding the belt high for all the crowd to see!

Post-Match Segment
As Renegade celebrated his victory over Trucker, a familiar fire pyro blasted on the stage. Then DMK's Metallica theme played and the crowd looked to see if DMK was going to enter the arena. Renegade turned in curiosity and wondered why his friend was coming out.
DMK then entered through the curtain holding... his Money in the Bank briefcase! The crowd stared in a state of shock as DMK walked very purposefully down the ramp and entered the ring. Renegade's expression turned to very confused and he backed into the corner while DMK slowly approached the ref and handed him the briefcase. DMK was cashing in the briefcase on Renegade and the WWE title... right now!

Renegade (C) vs. DMK
The ref rang the bell but the mood in the ring and throughout the arena was very strange. The crowd was unsure of how to react to DMK cashing in on his friend, and Renegade himself was repeatedly asking DMK what his intentions were. DMK simply approached Renegade with a very focused expression and remained silent despite Renegade's questions.
Then, in the blink of an eye, DMK grabbed Renegade by the throat! The exhausted champ tried to break free, but the fresh challenger had a very tight grip! DMK lifted him up and planted him hard with his Checkmate finisher! DMK went for the cover and the ref counted 1... 2... 3!!!
DMK had successfully cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase, and was the new WWE champ! The ref handed him the belt and he grinned slyly and accepted it proudly! He then raised it high in celebration, while the crowd watched stunned as the PPV came to a close!
