Year 2
Intercontinental Championship:
Gravedigger (C) vs. Joseph T. Lutte
The feud between the "Graveyard Monster" and his French rival had been growing for the last few months, and their cage match last month at WrestleMania was a battle for the ages. But the "Fantastic Frenchman" refused to give up on his goal of winning the I.C. title, and challenged 'Digger to another title bout at Backlash. Unfortunately for Lutte, his selfish intentions angered his Foreign Power stablemates Billy Carter & Zach Wesley. Billy & Zach attacked the Frenchman and ended their alliance to him, telling him that he would have to battle 'Digger alone.
The match got started in quick and violent fashion, as Lutte attacked the champ from behind as he was making his entrance. The Frenchman slammed 'Digger's head off the steel steps and nailed him with a Moneymaker finisher outside on the mat. He rolled the "Monster" back into the ring, but the extra time needed to do that allowed the ever-resilient champ to kick out of the pinfall attempt.
Lutte tried to maintain control but 'Digger answered back. The brute pounded on his challenger, landing some big power moves and a vicious clothesline. But the Frenchman was able to avoid being pinned and kept the match alive.
In the end, it seemed like 'Digger had the upper hand despite both men's exhaustion. He reversed a move and was able to catch Lutte with his Cemetery Slam! He dragged Lutte away from the ropes, went for the pin... but Lutte kicked out! 'Digger was shocked that the Frenchman still had life left! The "Monster" got angry and attacked, but Lutte reversed! He caught 'Digger with a strong back suplex, and pulled the tights on the roll-up pin! The ref didn't see the illegal move and counted to 3!
The crowd was shocked at the narrow victory for Lutte, who could barely stand while holding his new belt. 'Digger argued with the ref but didn't like the response. He glared angrily at the Frenchman as he exited up the ramp.
WINNER (and NEW Intercontinental Champion): Joseph T. Lutte

Handicap Match:
DMK vs. Badass Coalition (Tank Blazer & Dylan Dynamite)
DMK lost Good As Hell ally Antonio Jordan during the Draft, and was forced to continue his feud against the Badass Coalition alone. With David D. and Trucker occupied in the WWE title match, Tank & Dylan decided to represent their group against the King in a Handicap Match. This was supposed to be the Badass Coalition's first step in finally destroying DMK once and for all.
Tank & Dylan used their speed-and-power teamwork to take control early, but DMK fought back and had both men reeling. With the King in control, an unwanted intruder made his way down to ringside... WWE champ and Badass leader David D.! The "Genius" observed the action up close, obviously concerned about the possibility of a loss.
In the ring, DMK battled Tank but when the King tried to attack, Tank pulled the ref in front! DMK couldn't stop his momentum and went crashing into the official, knocking him down! With the ref out, David D. stepped in and tried to salvage the match. Tank powerbombed the shaken DMK, and then David D. landed a huge Genius Bomb finisher. David D. instructed Tank to pin DMK as Dylan awoke the ref, and the WWE champ began to leave. The ref slowly came to his senses, and counted Tank's pinfall attempt... 1... 2... KICK OUT!!! The crowd cheered as DMK kept the match alive!
David D. turned in anger and sprinted back to the ring, and jumped onto the apron to argue with the ref. DMK fought his challengers, knocking Dylan out of the ring and trading punches with Tank. DMK got Tank woozy, and landed one big punch... which knocked him into the ref and the ref accidentally pushed David D. off the apron! Tank bounced back and DMK caught him with a Checkmate finisher! The ref counted the pinfall, and DMK pulled off a huge upset! DMK stared down David D. with a sly smile as the WWE champ left angrily.
WINNER: DMK

Backstage Segment
Following the match, Tank and Dylan were arguing as they walked back to the locker room.
Tank: "Where were you?! How did I get left in the ring alone to get a Checkmate?"
Dylan: "I tried fighting him off! You were the legal man the whole time, I was waiting for a tag!"
Tank: "Well if you wouldn't have let him get all the momentum back, I would have tagged you in!"
Dylan: "Hey... You're the one that got pinned! Not me!"
Trucker and David D. approached and tried to separate the two.
Trucker: "Guys! Guys! Y'all break it up!"
David D.: "Now that match was embarrassing, but not as embarrassing as you. You two idiots arguing over it is not going to change the result. He may have won this battle but we will win the war, trust me."
Tank and Dylan seemed to calm down.
David D.: "But to take him down and reclaim control over Raw, we need to make sure we stay strong. No weak links in the chain."
Tank: "You're right. No weak links..."
Trucker, Tank and David turned to gave a creepy stare at Dylan. Dylan looked at the group and seemed to get a strange vibe.
Dylan: "Wait, wait, wait... Are you guys saying that I'm the weak link? No way, I mean..."
But before he could finish his sentence, the other 3 attacked. Trucker, Tank and David beat down on Dylan, leaving him a bloody broken mess on the concrete floor. David crouched down close to him and spoke in a creepy voice...
David D.: "Ahh... Much better."
The other 3 walked off. Dylan rolled in pain as the cameras faded off...

Unified Tag Team Championship (No DQ Match):
Bullet Boyz (C) vs. Tommy Parker & Joey Cooper
The Bullet Boyz used their cheap tricks to reclaim the Tag Team titles last month at WrestleMania, and Parker & Coop demanded a rematch at the following PPV and wanted a stipulation... No DQ! Parker & Coop wanted to get "ugly" and try to beat the Bullet Boyz at their own game... whatever it takes!
The match was a great back-and-forth battle between two great teams, but neither team could score a fall despite multiple big moves and great chances. The No DQ stipulation didn't come into play early on, as both teams tried to outwork and outsmart the other.
But the Bullet Boyz always find ways to squeeze out cheap wins. Parker instructed Cooper to grab a chair from under the ring while he had control of Craig in the ring. But Tony ran around and knocked Cooper to the ground after he slid the chair in! The two brawled outside while Parker grabbed the chair and intended to smack it against Craig's skull, but the "High-Flyin' Criminal" ducked the swing! He stole the chair from Parker and kicked it right into his face! Craig then quickly jumped up to the top turnbuckle, and launched himself onto Parker with his Law Breaker finishing splash! With Cooper distracted, Craig was able to get a clean pinfall to retain the titles!
WINNERS (and still Unified Tag Team Champions): Bullet Boyz (Craig & Tony Bullet)

Divas Championship: Melina (C) vs. Michelle McCool
Melina had been the reigning Divas champ for over a year, and had vanquished nearly challenger along the way. But her long-standing feud with McCool had kept her on her guard, and it led to another title bout between the two female grapplers.
It was a hard-fought match between them, but it seemed like McCool had the champ finally figured out. After reversing Melina's hurricanrana attempt into a powerbomb, McCool nailed the Faith Breaker finisher and scored the pinfall! The victory gave McCool the Divas title and ended Melina's long reign!

WWE Championship (Fatal 4-Way Match):
David Degenerate (C) vs. Carson Pain vs.
Renegade vs. Big Mutha Trucker
WWE champ David D. seems to find a way to really piss off his challengers. At WrestleMania, the "Dangerous Genius" stole a win from Renegade when he tossed him out of the ring after Renegade had nailed Antonio Jordan with his Kick-olution finishing kick and pinned Jordan while Renegade lay outside. The cheap pinfall angered Renegade and forced him to demand another shot at David's precious title belt.
But another challenger broke onto the scene when the Draft took place... Carson Pain! The former World Heavyweight and Intercontinental champ was drafted to Raw, and won a #1 contender's match in his first match on the brand! That put him in direct line for David D.'s belt, and made the match have at least 3 competitors. The fourth came into play when Trucker made a legit claim to a title shot due to his 2nd-place finish in the Elimination Chamber back in February. Trucker and David seemed to be on okay terms about the situation, but it was clear that they would temporarily put their friendship aside during the match. Raw GM Stephanie McMahon decided to put all 4 men in the same match... with the belt on the line!
The heat between each man was clear right from the start. It was clear that none of the other 3 wanted new Raw member Carson to steal the top prize in his first PPV match, and they attacked him early and often. David and Renegade took out their frustrations on each other, landing some impressive and damaging moves. Trucker's toughness gave him control and allowed him to hit some power maneuvers.
In the end, several big moves and some great timing spun the match. Trucker hit David D. with his White Trash signature, but Carson then surprised the "Resident Redneck" with his Original Sin finisher. Carson, showing his inexperience against his foes, didn't account for Renegade and walked right into a Kick-olution! Again, Renegade seemed poised to win but failed to watch out for the sneaky champ. While Renegade hit Carson with his move, David D. had crawled over and covered an incapacitated Trucker, and the ref counted the pinfall before Renegade could break it up!
David D. grabbed his belt and escaped quickly, hoping to avoid Renegade's wrath. The "Genius" celebrated another cheap win as Renegade could barely control his anger!

In-Ring Segment
After the WWE title match, Carson slowly rose up and shook off the cobwebs. His beau Kelly Kelly came down and seemed like she was going to comfort him. Many fans and WWE personnel had been wondering about the future of the "Golden Couple" after Carson got drafted to Raw, and it appeared that everyone was going to get a big glimpse right now.
Kelly entered the ring and approached Carson carefully. She offered a hand and Carson grabbed it, pulling himself to his feet. Kelly checked on him to make sure he was okay, and Carson seemed to nod in agreement.
But then... Kelly Kelly delivered a very sharp kick to Carson's manhood! The crowd was stunned at the betrayal as Kelly Kelly glared at a weakened Carson writhing on the mat. The blonde beauty then sharply turned her back and walked off as the crowd booed lustily.

World Heavyweight Championship:
Eric Executioner (C) vs. Ace
Eric E. was very proud of himself after WrestleMania. The narcissist finally gained the upper hand on his rival Carson Pain, beating him in the main event to regain the World title. Then to add to his good fortune, Carson was drafted to Raw and officially ended their rivalry! This left Eric standing alone as Smackdown's top guy... until the "Ultimate Superstar" threw his name back into the World title race. The former World champ hadn't held the belt since losing to Carson back at September's Hell in a Cell, and was determined to reclaim it after tasting recent success as Intercontinental champ. Ace challenged Eric to a title match at Backlash, vowing to make the narcissist's 2nd reign as champ be just as short as his first.
The match itself was a nasty bout between two of Smackdown's top grapplers. Eric's strength clashed with Ace's athleticism, which made for a very evenly-paced matchup. The champ held the advantage early, but Ace's technical skills and reversals put him back in control.
In the end, Eric's power and confidence seemed to be too much for his challenger to overcome. Ace tried a Pocket Rocket spear, but Eric moved at just the right moment and sent him flying hard into the turnbuckle! When Ace turned, Eric caught him by the neck and delivered a finishing Final Verdict! The pinfall gave the narcissist the win and allowed him to retain the title!
Eric showed off the big gold belt proudly as the crowd jeered him, and he enjoyed the reactions as the PPV came to a close.
