From a young age, Thunder presented amazing strength and a very fit body shape. With very positive family support, Thunder pursued his dream of becoming a top-notch bodybuilder and became a very impressive physical specimen. After winning multiple weightlifting and bodybuilding championships in California and throughout the West Coast, Thunder qualified for the popular Mr. Universe competition. He made his family proud when he competed for the world's biggest bodybuilding prize, but unfortunately he was unable to capture that title. Falling short disappointed him, but he vowed to make an impact in another sport and discovered pro wrestling. He trained hard and his natural strength built up from his previous career paid dividends in the squared circle. He impressed his trainers and was immediately signed to a prestigious California independent circuit following camp. He debuted to a very impressed crowd, and that initial crowd reaction became a regular thing as Thunder developed into the circuit's top face character. His narcissistic attitude combined with a jovial demeanor was endearing to fans, and he went on to hold every title in the circuit at least once, including 2 reigns as their heavyweight champion. His success caught the eyes of WWE scouts, who offered Thunder a contract. The "Strongest Stud" was proud to again be reaching the highest level of a passion of his, and he vowed to make his family proud once again. Career Overview Year 3: In January, a series of vignettes played each week, hinting at the return or debut of someone... The vignettes turned out to be introductions for Thunder, who made his debut at the Royal Rumble PPV... He gave a very vain backstage interview but then impressed in the 30-man Rumble match, entering at #27 and battling hard... He finished as second runner-up, being eliminated by eventual-winner DMK... He picked up a handful of impressive wins for the next few weeks, until getting bloodied and finishing runner-up to Travis Roarke in a 4-way elimination match on Superstars... Thunder confronted the "Assassin" and through the course of the promo, they performed a rare double turn as the fans realized that the "Strongest Stud" was a vain jerk... This led to rematches against each other, the first which ended in a double countout draw and the second was a Table match victory for Thunder in which they never even entered the ring... At WrestleMania, he was given an interview segment where he vowed to make his rivals "feel the thunder" - his signature catchphrase |
