Year 2
October
The autumn season saw the leaves change colors, the temperatures get cooler and a Smackdown brand gearing up to challenge the Raw brand in various ways! The upcoming Bragging Rights PPV would feature several Smackdown vs. Raw matchups, and the show needed a main event worthy of the fans' attention. Raw GM Stephanie McMahon and Smackdown GM Teddy Long worked together to design a great show-ending battle, including the top champions from both brands! Each GM would choose 3 of their best and put them in one multi-man match with some future stakes on the line. If a challenger won the match, then they would earn a title shot against their brand's champ at the Survivor Series PPV. If any of the brand champions won the match, then they would have the opportunity to choose their opponent for a title defense at Survivor Series. To make things more interesting, the GMs agreed to put everyone... inside the Hell in a Cell!
Stephanie choose WWE champ DMK, Tank Blazer and Renegade to represent Raw, while Teddy picked World Heavyweight champ Gravedigger, Eric Executioner and... a returning Ace! The "Ultimate Superstar" returned from injury at the beginning of the month, and quickly proved that he was ready to make an impact again. In the buildup to the PPV match, several preview matches were held and it became clear that it was not really a Smackdown vs. Raw scenario... it was every man for himself! Nobody could be trusted, and the champs knew that they could possibly have a very motivated challenger for Survivor Series!
Joseph T. Lutte somehow managed to escape the cage first at last month's PPV, re-capturing the Intercontinental Title from Hitman Jack. A few days after the show, the "Lethal Canadian" attacked the champ backstage to show his anger! The rivals had an intense build to another rematch, but they felt that the only way to settle things... was to set one of them on fire! An Inferno match stipulation was added, which means that one of them would have to suffer through the flames as a result.
The rest of the Bragging Rights matchups pitted brand teams against the other. A men's 6-man tag match and a women's tag match were set up for the PPV to see which brand was the best. In the men's match, Team Smackdown consisted of the American Cool duo of Antonio Jordan & Krizz Torture and the rookie "True Savior" Guy Justice. The men's team would face off against Raw's Rebel Ford, Brett Diamond and recently-debuting rookie H.E.R.O. In the women's battle, the Team Smackdown duo of Eve & Natalya would face Team Raw's Michelle McCool & Melina. Michelle and Melina were fierce rivals over on Raw, so it seemed like the blue-brand ladies could have an advantage going into the PPV!
A few other developments took place that didn't directly affect the PPV proceedings. Billy Carter & Zach Wesley had been hovering around the top of the Tag Team division for months, and they finally won a #1 contender's match this month! They started a feud with champs Parker & Coop, although a title match wasn't set yet. In other news, Smackdown introduced a new member: the "Irish Giant" Angus! The huge rookie dominated his first month, winning several squash matches and wowing the crowd with his size, strength and very calm demeanor.

November
The Smackdown brand had a big main event match scheduled for the next PPV already, as the returning Ace won the 6-man Hell in a Cell match at the Bragging Rights PPV to earn a World Heavyweight Title match! The "Ultimate Superstar" pinned WWE champ DMK just seconds before Eric Executioner attempted to break up the pin, giving him a huge win and guaranteeing him a title shot at Survivor Series! Ace's win angered champ Gravedigger, and the two decided to settle their differences in the ring. Each week, they faced off in preview matches, one more brutal than the last! The rivals traded wins, and it seemed the upcoming PPV match needed a little extra to close out the feud. GM Teddy Long figured that the only way to make their rivalry more intense was to have the last man able to stand the winner! Therefore, Teddy announced that the World Title match would be a Last Man Standing match! Fans were very excited to see if the "Graveyard Monster" could retain his belt, or if the rejuvenated Ace could reclaim Smackdown's top prize.
Parker & Coop had been reigning as Tag Team champs since their upset win over American Cool at Summerslam, and Tommy himself had been Cruiserweight champ since the beginning of July. The former Olympians had been pretty dominant, but paranoia had been slowly creeping in. In October, Billy Carter & Zach Wesley won a #1 contender's match but the Olympic duo avoided a match by using Tommy's Cruiserweight obligations as an excuse. But at the beginning of this month, Tommy was set to defend his title against Lee Money on an episode of Raw. Sensing danger, the "Up-and-Comer" walked out of the match and took a countout loss! GM Teddy Long was very upset over Tommy's actions, and decided to punish him in 2 ways: he forced him to defend against Lee Money again a few days later on Superstars, and they would have to put their Tag Team Titles on the line at Survivor Series! Unfortunately, "Cash" won the rematch to end Tommy's reign and that seemed to really bother him as they prepared for the Tag Title match. Fans were concerned that the former Olympians would not be able to stay focused for the PPV!
The ECW Title scene had been dominated by Zach Wesley for months, with no true contender in sight. So while the "Mohawked Maniac" was focused on his upcoming Tag Team Title match, GM Teddy Long was developing a #1 contender's match! Teddy scheduled 6 qualifying matches for 6 spots in a #1 contender's battle royal at the next PPV. The men to qualify were rookie Guy Justice, Paulie Dominos, Rusty, Craig Bullet and former ECW champs Krizz Torture and Vincent Serum. The winner of the PPV battle royal would earn a title shot against Zach in December!
Speaking of Serum, the "Vicious Vampire" had been teaming with Hitman Jack since just before they were drafted over from Raw. But after failing to win the Tag Team Titles and each struggling individually in their title quests, they felt that their partnership had worn out. Serum and the "Lethal Canadian" agreed to end their alliance and move on.
Intercontinental champ Joseph T. Lutte again retained his title last month, and decided to use his wealth to expand his influence on the blue brand. With Kelly Kelly the reigning Women's champ and her run almost a year old, the "Fantastic Frenchman" decided to sponsor a women's battle royal on a mid-month episode of Smackdown! Joseph announced that the winner of the match would receive his managerial services, and promised to push the winner eventually to be the next Women's champ! The battle royal was hard-fought, and the victor was Eve Torres! Lutte congratulated her and immediately began accompanying her to matches, interviews and segments.

December
With winter approaching, the Smackdown brand was dealing with the fallout of a new World Heavyweight champ! Ace returned from injury in October, won the 6-man Hell in a Cell match at Bragging Rights to earn a title shot and rode that momentum to an upset victory at Survivor Series! The win over Gravedigger gave the "Ultimate Superstar" his 2nd World Title reign, and he opened the first episode of Smackdown this month with a prideful promo. But the "Graveyard Monster" was furious over the loss, and he wanted his rematch at the next PPV... and also wanted the namesake stipulation! Ace agreed, and the two rivals continued their brutal feud on the road to a Tables, Ladders & Chairs battle!
Billy Carter & Zach Wesley's slow rise up the rankings culminated in them winning the Tag Team Titles at Survivor Series over Parker & Coop! With Zach still reigning as ECW champ, this unlikely duo had a lot of gold around their waist. But their dream scenario quickly became a nightmare as December progressed. First, Zach had an ECW Title match to settle as Rusty had won a #1 contender's battle royal at last month's PPV. Throughout the month, the "Mohawked Maniac" feuded intensely with the motivated "2 Xtreme" superfan. But Rusty couldn't handle both Zach and Billy, so he enlisted some help... rookie big man Angus! The "Irish Giant" gave Rusty some much-needed assistance, as he evened the odds. A ECW Title match was scheduled for a special Tribute to the Troops event days before the PPV, and Rusty shocked everyone by pulling the upset!
Zach was upset, but there was another battle that he had to stay focused for. Raw's Badass Coalition team of Big Mutha Trucker & Tank Blazer had earned the #1 contender spot, and were looking forward to claiming the Tag Team Title belts for the 2nd time. So while Zach was feuding with Rusty over the ECW Title, Trucker & Tank were quietly preparing for a big PPV title match! A Ladder match stipulation was added, and it would make the fans wonder if Zach & Billy would go from holding several titles to holding zero by the end of the month!
Survivor Series also saw a shocking backstage attack, as Eric Executioner officially ended his alliance with Mack Wheeler by brutally battering him during the PPV last month. The "Narcissist" blamed Mack for his shortcomings surrounding the World Title scene, and the "Human Semi" retaliated a few days later! Mack demanded a match to settle their issues, and with the dangerous Tables, Ladder & Chairs PPV representing crazy match types, he wanted to make their personal battle an Extreme Rules match! Eric agreed and the former friends had several violent encounters on the path to the PPV.
Joseph T. Lutte was still reigning as Intercontinental champ, and now had an alliance with Eve Torres as he tried to manage her to the Women's Title. But during the month, Craig Bullet attacked the "Fantastic Frenchman" and sparked a feud! A title match was eventually made for the last Smackdown of the month, where Joseph retained the title again!
