Year 1
October
Major changes had taken place on Smackdown as the calendar turned to October, but the chaos would only grow! The biggest changes took place on the same night at the Hell in a Cell PPV last month. Carson Pain entered the PPV as the Intercontinental champ, but left as the World Heavyweight champ! "The Original" had 2 matches scheduled: an Intercontinental Title defense against Eric Executioner to open the show and a World Title match in the scary Hell in a Cell against then-champ Ace. Carson unfortunately failed in the first bout, making the "Narcissist" the new I.C. champ. But later in the main event, "The Original" stunned everyone by defeating the "Ultimate Superstar" to claim Smackdown's top prize!
So entering the new month, there was clearly a feud triangle going on between Carson, Eric and Ace over the blue brand's top 2 titles. Not to make things more complicated, but Gravedigger came to Carson's defense and inserted himself into the multifaceted rivalry! These developments left Smackdown GM Teddy Long in a bind, and he collaborated with Raw GM Stephanie McMahon to determine a best course of action. Steph herself was also finding trouble managing a large feud between the Good as Hell and Badass Coalition stables. So the two GMs created a so-called "Good vs. Evil" 6-man tag match for the next PPV to settle multiple scores in one match! The "Good" side featured Carson Pain & Gravedigger from Smackdown and Antonio Jordan of Raw, while the "Evil" side consisted of Raw's Big Mutha Trucker and Smackdown's Eric Executioner & Ace. The fans loved the idea of meshing the brand's rivalries together, and were very curious to see which side would emerge victorious!
Another big moment happened at last month's PPV, as the 2 Cool 2 Xtreme team brought the Tag Team Titles back to Smackdown! Krizz Torture & Rusty were major fan favorites, and were enjoying the support for their first reign. But they didn't have very long to bask in celebration, as the Bullet Boyz earned the #1 contender spot and set themselves up for a title match! The feud between 2 Cool 2 Xtreme and the villainous foster brothers had been building for a while, and Krizz & Rusty's title win pushed Craig & Tony over the edge due to jealousy. Despite having the fans' support, Krizz & Rusty knew they had a tough battle ahead against their rivals!
The ECW Title division saw yet another title change last month, with Travis Roarke upsetting Gravedigger to claim the belt. GM Teddy Long announced a few days after that he was going to schedule a Triple Threat title match for the next PPV, and set up 2 qualifying matches. In the first match, former champ Mack Wheeler won and gave himself a chance for a rematch. The second match featured a debuting superstar: Joseph T. Lutte, a French wrestler formerly part of the famous European Wrestling League! The "Fantastic Frenchman" was a veteran globally but a rookie in WWE... but shocked everyone by winning the 2nd qualifying match and giving himself a title shot less than a month after his debut! The "Assassin" was set to defend his title against the angry "Human Semi" and the wealthy French rookie, and fans were wondering if another title change was possible!
Craig Bullet was the reigning Cruiserweight champ entering the month, but his Tag Team Title rivalry against 2 Cool 2 Xtreme had him distracted. A 6-man title match was scheduled for the final episode of Superstars, and the "High-Flyin' Criminal" seemed confident that he would retain easily. But instead, his overconfidence (and a surprise appearance by Rusty mid-match) caused Craig to get eliminated! With Craig out, a new champion would be crowned and Tommy Parker was the one to outlast all! The former Olympian was ecstatic to collect his first title, while Craig turned his disappointment into anger for the upcoming Tag Team Title bout!

November
The Smackdown brand had the fans' heads spinning with all the developments leading up to Survivor Series. Eric Executioner set himself up to possibly 1-up his longtime rival, an odd-ball tag team finally broke up and started feuding while one of them earned a title shot, and the World Heavyweight champ formed a relationship with one of Smackdown's top Divas. And... that is not even close to covering everything that happened!
Carson Pain had been reigning as World champ since the end of September, and his feud with Eric Executioner had been well-documented up to this point. But Carson was also starting to develop a little kinship for a female competitor... Women's #1 contender Kelly Kelly! The two blondes were seeing a lot of each other, and fans started referring to them as Smackdown's "Golden Couple". They didn't seem to mind, but Carson had a big challenge facing him at the Survivor Series PPV. Eric E. was the reigning Intercontinental champ, having beat Carson at Hell in a Cell, but won a #1 contender's match to earn a World Heavyweight Title shot! Eric also had to defend his own title (see below), but vowed to do better than Carson did attempting the same feat 2 months earlier. The "Narcissist" claimed that he would successfully defend his title and take Carson's World belt in the main event, so "The Original" did everything in his power to weaken his rival before the PPV!
Speaking of Eric's Intercontinental Title, it was under threat based on Gravedigger's ascension up the rankings. 'Digger had been teaming with Zach Wesley for several months, but the odd-ball pairing hadn't been very successful recently. As a result, the "Graveyard Monster" and the "Mohawked Maniac" decided to break things off. But the breakup was not amicable, and a feud started to brew. 'Digger maintained his quest to take Eric's gold, and won a #1 contender match to face him! This worried Eric and angered Zach, but the "Monster" planned to end up with a title belt by the end of this month's PPV!
Another month, another new ECW champ! This time, rookie Joseph T. Lutte surprised everyone by beating then-champ Travis Roarke and Mack Wheeler in a 3-way bout to collect his first title... less than a month after his debut! The "Fantastic Frenchman" found himself in a new rivalry right away, and mostly it was due to him opening his big mouth. Joseph insulted Krizz Torture due to his recent Tag Team Title loss, and the "2 Cool" superstar didn't appreciate the foreign jackass talking smack. So Krizz went out and won a #1 contender's match, putting himself in direct line to challenge for Lutte's new title. Joseph got a harsh lesson about messing with scorned former champions, and the fans were hoping Krizz could shut him up!
The Cruiserweight Title also continued its game of "hot potato", but this time a new champion was an old champion. On the final Smackdown of the month, a 6-man battle royal was scheduled with the title on the line. Champ Tommy Parker entered the match and made it all the way to the final 2... but he didn't leave the show with the belt! Rusty eliminated the "Up-and-Comer" last to earn his 2nd Cruiserweight Title reign!
The final set of news pertained to a major match for the upcoming PPV. Several members of Smackdown were set to compete in a 20-man battle royal at Survivor Series, with the winner earning a title shot at the December PPV! Fans who loved the blue brand were hoping for one of the Smackdown competitors to outlast all!

December
With winter near and cold weather swirling, the Smackdown brand only seemed to be heating up! A new World Heavyweight champ and Intercontinental champ reigned, while several feuds were beginning to get more intense.
Carson Pain was angry and distraught over losing the World Heavyweight Title to rival Eric Executioner, but luckily had the support of new beau Kelly Kelly. Her strength gave him the fire he needed to get back into the fight against the "Narcissist". Carson wanted a title rematch a few days after Survivor Series, but Smackdown GM Teddy Long denied the request. Instead, Teddy would grant it at this month's PPV... in a TLC match! "The Original" was pleased enough, and spent the rest of the month taking every chance he could get to get the upper hand. Eric did the same, but had the advantage of holding the title. Fans were ready to see these two write another chapter in their rivalry!
Carson & Eric's feud had another layer due to the women involved. Kelly Kelly was already on Carson's side, but she was also #1 contender for the Women's Title. The current holder was the "Glamazon" Beth Phoenix, who had been reigning since WrestleMania. Beth saw all the attention Kelly Kelly was getting, despite the "Glamazon" being the actual champ. Her jealousy caused her to step into the feud on Eric's side, which angered Kelly. A title match was made, and the fans viewed the ladies' match as an extension of the men's main event!
The Intercontinental Title had a new champ in the intimidating Gravedigger, but the title scene was about to get crazy. 'Digger had a developing feud with former tag partner Zach Wesley, while another feud between Ace and Travis Roarke was forming. With 4 men with no alliances to each other wanting to fight, a 4-way title match was scheduled! The TLC PPV would feature a Fatal 4-Way Elimination match between champ 'Digger, the "Mohawked Maniac", Ace and the "Assassin"! Ace claimed he would prove himself better than Travis by winning the belt, and the "Assassin" wanted to outdo his foe. It was a challenging title defense for the "Graveyard Monster", but fans were ready to see the chaos break out!
Zach Wesley also had something developing while battling Gravedigger over the Intercontinental Title, and it affected that feud as well as the ECW Title scene. ECW champ Joseph T. Lutte scored a cheap win at last month's PPV against Krizz Torture, using a pre-match attack to win quickly. Krizz wanted a fair rematch, but the "Fantastic Frenchman" laughed him off at first. GM Teddy Long intervened, agreeing with Krizz and scheduling a rematch for the next PPV. To avoid Joseph using underhanded tactics again, he set up a Ladder match to let them settle it! The French rookie didn't feel comfortable, so he set out to find "help". Sensing some anger directed towards the American members of the roster, Joseph joined forces with other foreign grapplers: Canadian Billy Carter and supposed-foreign-born Zach Wesley! The trio formed the Foreign Power stable, with Joseph as the leader and Billy & Zach as the prominent tag team. Naturally, the new stable played a role in Joseph's ECW Title rivalry and Zach's quest to ruin 'Digger's rise. Could the foreigners make a big splash on the primarily American roster?
