Year 3
Week 1
One night after a wild Survivor Series PPV, another LIVE episode of Monday Night Raw opens from Boston, MA!!!
In-Ring Segment
The music of Raw GM Stephanie McMahon hits the speakers, and the "Billion-Dollar Princess" strolls down to the ring to open the show! Steph has been unofficially supportive of Carson Pain's quest to recapture the WWE Title from David Degenerate, but the "Dangerous Genius" retained the belt at last night's Survivor Series PPV. David outlasted Carson in an 60-minute Iron Man match, winning by a score of 2-1. Despite the seemingly decisive victory, it still reeks of controversy. David took the lead using an illegal pin, using the ropes for leverage, and tapped out to Carson's Ankle Pain submission moments after the time ran out. Steph seems fairly confident as she enters the ring, and quickly gets down to business.
Steph: "Hello Boston, and welcome to another great edition of Raw! Now, I'm out here right away because I have 2 very important announcements to make. As the dedicated WWE Universe, it is important that you stay informed of important Raw business. First of all, as you all know... there was a vicious, unwarranted vehicular attack on DMK following the Judgment Day PPV a few months ago. We have been trying to find out as much information about the attack as we can, especially the person or persons responsible, but our efforts have proven to be fruitless so far. I spoke to the board of directors recently, and we have decided to hire a private investigator in order to determine what actually happened that night. We have given this investigator full authority to find the culprit, including giving him access to tapes, interviews with any staff member or superstar and necessary documentation. We are hoping, that with the full cooperation of our company, we can finally give DMK the justice he needs as he continues to recover from his numerous injuries."
The crowd murmurs in surprise as Steph's first announcement, but overall the reaction is very positive. Some maniac shouldn't be walking around free! Steph pauses and then continues with more information.
Steph: "As for the second announcement, I have a great idea for a main event match for tonight. But before I reveal my plans, I would like to invite a few men to come out and listen. Dad... David... could you two join me out here?"
The crowd is interested, and a few anxious moments pass with no response. Finally, Mr. McMahon's theme hits and the corporate executive and the WWE Champion stroll out onto the stage! Vince has a microphone and is ready to respond, curious to hear what his daughter has to say. The "Genius" stands annoyed next to him, arms crossed and glaring. Steph is pleased to see them appear quickly, and she continues her announcement.
Steph: "Thanks for coming. I believe I speak for the entire WWE Universe when I say that the results of last night's Iron Man match... doesn't really sit well in my stomach. Despite trying to remove controversy and shenanigans, David STILL won by controversial means. Video shows that David used an illegal pin to record a fall, while he also gave up a fall only a second or so after the 60-minute time limit expired. Now, I understand..."
Suddenly, David snatches the microphone from Vince and interrupts the Raw GM.
David: "Hold on, hold on, HOLD... ON. You clearly don't understand anything here. I... WON... THE... MATCH. I completed the exact requirements of the match. Sixty minutes, guy with the most falls at the time limit wins. It DOESN'T MATTER how I did it, but I did it. I won the match! I don't see how it can be controversial. Even if that idiot got me to tap out before the timer ran out, it only would have tied the score and I would have retained by draw. This is absolutely ridiculous!"
David raises his arms and mockingly sneers at Stephanie, shaking his head and scoffing in disbelief. The Raw GM doesn't react to the WWE champ's tantrum, and responds.
Steph: "Well, David... I'm sorry you feel that way, but as Raw GM, my job is to ensure that all title matches are completed with some sense of honor and fair play. You have continued to break that expectation, and I seem to have to keep trying to fix things. I don't like the controversy surrounding your title reign. These fans... all deserve to see a CLEAN victory. So therefore, I have decided that... tonight in the main event, David will defend his WWE Championship against Carson Pain!"
The fans erupt in a loud cheer, while David scowls angrily and shakes his head in disgust. Mr. McMahon furrows his brow as well. Stephanie continues to discuss the main event.
Steph: "And not only that, but I'm adding a few stipulations to ensure fair play. If David tries to cheat by using illegal maneuvers, intentionally or unintentionally gets disqualified or loses by countout... he will LOSE the WWE Title! Extra referees will be present to observe the match at ringside, to make sure that there's no foul play. Everybody here deserves to see a champion who can beat another challenger one-on-one with NO unwarranted actions!"
Steph smirks confidently about her bold decision, while David and Mr. McMahon are visibly upset. David paces along the stage, and can't bring himself to make eye contact with her. Vince gets a hold of the microphone and finally responds.
Mr. McMahon: "Now, Stephanie... I'm going to respectfully disagree with your match idea and the convoluted reasons behind it. You're claiming to ensure fair play but frankly, my dear... I don't think you're being the unbiased GM that I expected you to be when I gave you this job."
Stephanie scoffs at her father's remark, and replies.
Steph: "Unbiased? You believe that I'M not being unbiased? Have you looked in the mirror lately, Dad? You are in NO WAY being an unbiased company owner! How can an executive like you insert yourself in a feud between two competitors? I'm willing to ignore the hypocrisy here by simply creating another opportunity for David and Carson to settle things FAIRLY in the ring."
Vince chuckles a bit, and then converses quietly with a furious David for a moment. David nods in agreement to something, and the WWE Chairman responds to her.
Mr. McMahon: "Well, as an executive of WWE, I also have the power to create matches. And I feel like I've come up with a great idea for a secondary main event! I have total faith in my pal here to get the job done and retain the WWE Title again. And since when David wins and Carson loses... again... my "Genius" friend will need a new challenger. And since you are fan of settling things in the ring, let's make a match! We've got lots of potential challengers here on Raw, so let's put them inside those ropes and have the best man win. How about... a 6-man battle royal for the #1 contender to the WWE Championship! Being the fair executive as I am, I'll even let you choose the competitors to fight for this coveted opportunity!"
The fans buzz as they start to think of the possible candidates for the battle royal, and excitement picks up. Stephanie smiles at her father and begins to nod approvingly. She responds back to him.
Steph: "That is a FANTASTIC idea, Dad! And since you are a fair executive... when CARSON wins the title tonight, you'll have to honor the results of the battle royal. Which means the winner will get a title match, and David will unfortunately be denied a title rematch. Because you know... fair play and all. Right, Dad?"
David can't believe what he's hearing and he stomps off through the curtains on his way backstage. Vince lingers for a moment, sharing a passive-aggressive arrogant smile with his daughter. The father-daughter gaze ends the segment as the show heads to commercial!

Big Mutha Trucker vs. Corey Youngblood
When the show returns from commercial break, the crowd delightfully welcomes Big Mutha Trucker to the arena! The "Resident Redneck" strolls down to the ring for his match, and smiles that toothless smile for the crowd. Trucker hasn't had the most success recently, especially since he lost the U.S. Title to Renegade over the summer, but he's looking to get back in the win column. Soon after, Corey Youngblood's theme plays and the former hockey player heads to the ring angrily! Youngblood wants to get a big win himself, and tries to intimidate Trucker with his handy kendo stick. The men get settled in the ring, and the bell rings to start things off!
Trucker dominates the early part of the match, landing big blows and fending off Corey's attempt to turn the tide. With Youngblood reeling, Trucker slams him down with his signature White Trash move! Trucker tries for a pinfall, but the former hockey player manages to kick out just before the 3-count. The "Redneck" is disappointed but tries to maintain momentum, but Corey begins to rally back! Corey punches Trucker around, and starts running the ropes to catch his opponent off-guard with clotheslines and dropkicks. In a big moment, Youngblood lifts Trucker up for a scoop slam and follows it up quickly with a running dropkick! Corey tries the pin, but the "Redneck" kicks out at 2!
Corey slaps the mat in frustration while Trucker shakes the cobwebs off. The "Redneck" decides that enough is enough, and he revs himself up! Trucker goes into a flurry of punches, kicks and power moves and again refuses to let Corey get a single shot in. Riding a huge wave of momentum, Trucker slams Corey with another White Trash! With Youngblood groggy and stumbling, the "Redneck" lines him up and kicks him in the chin with his Big Foot finisher! Trucker goes for the cover and secures the winning pinfall!
The crowd goes crazy as Trucker celebrates the solid win, looking impressive once again. After the match, Trucker waits patiently as Corey rises slowly to his feet. The "Redneck" approaches him and offers him a post-match handshake. Youngblood looks at Trucker and down at his hand, deciding how to react to the sign of sportsmanship. After a moment, Corey smacks Trucker's hand away and refuses to shake hands! Youngblood walks away angry, while Trucker can only shake his head in disgust!
WINNER: Big Mutha Trucker

Maryse vs. Sunny Silva
A women's battle is next, as the French-Canadian beauty will take on the prideful belle of Alabama! Maryse enters first, teasingly waving to the crowd on her way to the ring. Next, the Lynyrd Skynyrd theme for Sunny plays, and the "Alabama Beauty" dances excitedly down the ramp. The ladies square off in the ring, and the fight gets underway!
Sunny was very overzealous to start the match, trying every big move she could muster. But Maryse's experience paid off, as she countered nearly everything Sunny tried into a move of her own! Maryse had control for most of the early part of the match, mainly because the rookie would not learn her lesson!
But eventually, Sunny settled down and realized that she needed to be more methodical in her approach. The change in mindset allows Sunny to rally back, and it's not long before the rookie is dominating! With Maryse struggling, Sunny hits her signature Alabama Slammer! The rookie doesn't waste any time after that, grabbing her foe around the neck and slamming her down with her Roll Tide Pride finisher! The "Alabama Beauty" goes for the pin, and the referee counts 1... 2... 3!!! The rookie pulls off a big win over the former Divas champ!
The crowd is stunned but supportive of the jovial youngster, and she jumps around the ring excitedly! After cooling down, she waits for Maryse to rise off the mat. Sunny sticks a hand out to offer a handshake, but Maryse shoves her away and walks out! Sunny drops her jaw and seems to be a little offended by Maryse's disrespect!

Backstage Segment
After a brief commercial break, the cameras pick up backstage where we see a distraught Maryse walking back towards the locker room. The French-Canadian beauty is kicking herself over losing to a rookie and rubs the painful spots carefully. As Maryse walks, the camera pans sideways a bit and we see a very determined Sunny Silva quickly catching up to her! The "Alabama Beauty" approaches and grabs Maryse by the arm, spinning her around.
Sunny: "Hey! What the heck was that about?"
Maryse: "What? What are you talking about?"
Sunny: "We had a good match! I thought I'd offer a little kindness by shaking hands."
Maryse: "Well... I didn't feel like shaking hands with you."
Sunny: "Why? I didn't do anything unfair. That was a CLEAN victory."
Maryse: "Well... I DON'T CARE! Clean or not, I didn't want to lose. And I lost. And I didn't feel like shaking hands with an inexperienced nerd like you!"
Sunny: "Nerd?! Now we're resorting to name-calling? Over a handshake?!"
The ladies start bickering back and forth and trying to talk over each other, leading to a very loud argument. Backstage staff strolls over and secures the area, but two more females step into the area as well... Divas champ Brittany Black and the "Glamazon" Beth Phoenix! Brittany pulls Maryse back while Beth steps in front of Sunny. The arguing women calm a bit, but Brittany and Beth decide to make a few comments.
Brittany: "I don't see what's the problem here. Maryse didn't want to shake hands. Who cares?"
Beth: "Sunny was just trying to be a good sport. It's nice to see someone doing the right thing around here."
Brittany: "Nice guys finish last, Beth. Plus, she's only a rookie. She hasn't been hardened by the lifestyle of this business. She hasn't even done enough to earn respect. I'm sure Maryse feels the same. Maryse doesn't have to shake hands with someone she doesn't respect."
Beth is confused by the Divas champ's remark, and snaps back.
Beth: "Respect? Sunny beat her in that ring completely fairly, and she deserves a ton of respect for that!"
Brittany: "Probably a one-time thing. She'll be back to her losing ways soon enough."
Beth: "Maybe she's on a winning streak. Maybe she could even take YOU down in the ring."
Brittany: "Me? Ha! You make me laugh. If she wants a go in the ring, she's more than willing to dig her own grave."
Beth glances at Sunny, and the rookie gives an angry nod. The "Glamazon" turns back and confronts her rival.
Beth: "We would BOTH like to have a chance in the ring against you. How about next week... Sunny and myself will face you and Maryse in a tag match? If you think it's so easy, then this match should be problem for you. What do you say, champ?"
Brittany: "I'd LOVE to take you both on. Maryse and I will be ready for you. You better warn that ignorant rookie what happens when you mess with me!"
Brittany escorts Maryse back to the locker room, while Beth and Sunny stand confidently and glare at their rivals as the segment ends!

WWE Championship #1 Contender Match (6-Man Battle Royal):
Brett Diamond vs. Renegade vs. Travis Roarke vs.
Mack Wheeler vs. Shawn Midnight vs. Tank Blazer
The first of two main events kicked off with the entrance of U.S. champ Brett Diamond, and the crowd went wild! Six men were going to face off for a chance at the WWE Title, and the "Professional" had a lot of support from the crowd as he headed to the ring. Next, Renegade's music hit and the crowd's response was the complete opposite! The "Party Animal" had a crazed look on his face as he strolled to the ring, chuckling oddly every time he made eye contact with Brett, his current rival. Following that was Travis Roarke's entrance, and the "Assassin" did not look like he was in a good mood! After suffering an embarrassing loss in the 6-man tag match at Survivor Series (mostly thanks to Shawn Midnight's unexplained mid-match betrayal), Roarke was hoping to take this opportunity to put himself in a title hunt. Mack Wheeler's Hollywood Undead theme song blasted around the arena, and the Boston crowd gave the "Human Semi" a warm reception! Mack lost his Hardcore Title last night, but he's been slowly working his way up the Raw ranks and could be a legitimate contender. The entrance for Shawn Midnight was next, and a very focused man heads to the ring. Shawn avoids walking near Travis, as the "Assassin" stared daggers at him during his entire walk. And finally, new Hardcore champ Tank Blazer appears and the "Captain" might be the most confident of all the competitors! The former military man struts to the ring and makes sure to flash his title belt in Mack's direction. Once all men establish themselves in the ring, the bell is rung and the chase for a WWE Title shot commences!
It's a wild, chaotic battle right from the start, with punches flying and blows being traded quickly! At first, every man seems to fight at random but the pull to attack a rival is too strong. After a few minutes of brawling, three pairs begin to battle exclusively: Brett and Renegade square off, Mack and Tank battle in the corner and Travis tosses Shawn around the ring! It's clear that the need to get in a few shots on a known foe is more important than scoring an elimination.
After each rivalry gets their fighting out of their systems, the strategy starts to evolve. Instead of just focusing on an individual guy, the competitors start paying attention to elimination opportunities. Brett Diamond is the first to take advantage of chances. Shawn is stomping Travis in the corner, holding onto the ropes for leverage, but doesn't notice the U.S. champ creeping up behind him. Shawn sticks his foot in his foe's throat and leans far into the corner, but Brett reaches under and lifts "Daddy Mack" up and over the top rope! Shawn crashes to the floor below and is stunned to be the first man eliminated! A few moments later, Brett is tossed into the ropes by an aggressive Tank Blazer. The "Captain" gets overzealous and rushes towards Brett to deliver a clothesline. The "Professional" ducks slightly at the last second, using Tank's momentum to lift and toss him over the top rope! The U.S. champ scores the first two eliminations, and now there's only 4 challengers left!
Renegade again turns his attention to Brett, while Mack battles a determined Travis on the other side of the ring. The "Human Semi" takes control of the situation, and tosses Travis over the top only to have the "Assassin" snatch the bottom rope and land on the apron. Mack uses the ropes for leverage and starts to push Travis down with his boot! Roarke holds on for a bit, but with no leverage or object to grab to help, he eventually goes tumbling off the apron and down to the floor! Three men remain.
Mack and Renegade team up on Brett, but the U.S. champ continues to hold his own. The "Human Semi" starts to shove Brett's upper body over the top, and Renegade steps over to start pulling his legs up. The "Professional" tries to balance against the double-team action, and somehow manages to punch and kick his way free! Brett punches Mack away and whips him into the opposite corner. But Renegade comes back quickly, and bum rushes the champ while his attention is elsewhere. Brett can't hold on this time, as Renegade eliminates his rival with a dropkick over the top rope!
Mack Wheeler and Renegade are the only ones left, and whoever can outlast the other would receive a WWE Title match. A mini-match takes place, as both men battle hard hoping to win that coveted #1 spot. The "Party Animal" starts to get wild, but it seems to hinder more than help. After missing a move attempt, Mack sends him crashing into the ropes. The "Human Semi" pulls him away slightly, and lifts him up into a powerbomb position! Mack steadies himself as Renegade tries to wriggle free, but the former Hardcore champ has a tight grip. In a swift move, Mack walks his foe towards the ropes and... powerbombs him down to the floor below! The final elimination gives Mack the win... and makes him the #1 contender for the WWE Title!
Mack is happily surprised himself, and celebrates proudly as the crowd goes crazy for him! The "Human Semi" has made a big trek up the Raw rankings, and now sits a WWE Title match away from holding the brand's top title!
WINNER: Mack Wheeler

Backstage Interview
After the final commercial break of the night, the show returns with Justin Roberts ready to interview... Alpha, Omega & Master Kimoto! The new Tag Team champs stand proudly next to their mentor, holding their title belts over their shoulders. Last night at Survivor Series, the Japanese duo soundly defeated the Bullet Boyz to claim their first Tag Team Title reign! Tonight, they are ready to chat.
Justin: "Good evening folks! Tonight, I'm pleased to interview the new Tag Team Champions, Alpha & Omega! Their legendary mentor Master Kimoto is next to them as well, ready to be their spokesman. Master Kimoto... how would you describe your proteges' current feelings?"
Master Kimoto: "Ahh they are very, very happy to be the Tag Team Champions. They have been working very hard to achieve this goal, and it's been a long time coming."
Justin: "Alpha & Omega have been on a big winning streak ever since you returned to mentor them. What is your secret to success?"
Master Kimoto: "Secret? It is no secret. Winning requires lots of hours of training and a great mental preparation."
Justin: "The details of their development and your own accomplishments continue to remain a mystery. Would you like to use this time to..."
Master Kimoto interrupts.
Master Kimoto: "No. Alpha & Omega are products of a special Japanese training facility, and our training methods are only known by a select few."
Justin: "Well... I apologize for prying. Would you like to deliver any message at all, especially to any possible challengers?"
Master Kimoto: "Alpha & Omega are ready to defend these titles at any time. They have been training their whole lives for this moment, and they will not squander the opportunity. Interview is over. We go now."
Master Kimoto ushers his silent students away as Justin is stunned by the abrupt end of the interview. Justin's confused face is the last image of the segment!

WWE Championship:
David Degenerate {C} vs. Carson Pain
The cameras return to the ring for the night's second main event, and a rematch from last night's Iron Man match! WWE champ David Degenerate managed to squeeze out a 2-1 victory at Survivor Series, albeit in controversial fashion, over Carson Pain. At the beginning of the show, Raw GM Stephanie McMahon announced that a rematch would take place tonight, and if David lost by DQ or countout or used illegal means to win, he would lose the title! Fans were excited to see the "Genius" and "The Original" go yet another round, with all of David's dirty tactics removed and fair play ready to be implemented!
Carson, who hadn't been seen yet tonight, entered first to a HUGE ovation as the Boston crowd was hoping to see him finally overcome David and win back the WWE Title! Carson burst through the curtains and headed down to the ring, sliding in and getting ready for another battle with his hated foe. Soon after, David's theme hit and the crowd welcomed him with a very loud chorus of jeers! The WWE Champion walked to the ring still furious over the situation, and without Mr. McMahon at his side. David climbed into the ring, shoved the belt towards the referee and raised his fists to show he was ready to start! The surprised official gathered himself, handed the belt to the ringside crew and called for the bell!
As the match began, it was clear that both men were still feeling the effects of last night's match. Exhaustion was obvious, but both rivals were willing to fight through it with the title on the line. Carson was breathing deeply after each move, while David was still limping on his bad ankle. Despite that, it was great back-and-forth battle and got the fans into the match!
David took control and did some major damage to Carson outside the ring. With Carson lingering on the ropes, David speared through the ropes and sent "The Original" crashing down to the floor below! With Carson laying down, David scaled the turnbuckle... and landed a huge flying elbow! Feeling the momentum, the "Genius" lifted Carson up and delivered his signature Dangerous DDT! While they battled out of the ring, the referee was counting and had just passed 5. David panicked, knowing a countout would cause him to lose his title. He grabbed Carson, smashed his head off the ringpost and rolled him back into the ring quickly!
Back in the ring, Carson regains his strength and begins a huge rally! Carson punches back and lands a flurry of great athletic moves including his Original Twist neck snap. He continues to hit one move after another, but David has a little trick up his sleeve. Carson whips the champ into the ropes, but David counters with his Dirty Drop! The referee starts to count with Carson pinned in the cradle move, and smacks the mat for 1... 2... KICKOUT! Carson keeps himself alive but the reversal puts David back in control.
David scales the turnbuckle again, and when Carson staggers to his feet, the champ nails him with a flying dropkick! Soon after, David lifts him up onto another turnbuckle... and slams him down with a huge hip toss off the top! The "Dangerous Genius" blasts him with a signature Dirty Kick in the back, followed up by locking in the Geniusubmission! Carson groans and winces as David cranks the pressure onto his rival's back! Carson rolls side to side, trying to find an opening, and finally manages to break free when David loses his leverage.
Both men gather themselves for a few minutes, as exhaustion starts to wear down on them. Carson has had enough, and starts to be a little more strategic. Remembering that David is nursing a bad ankle from last night's match, "The Original" starts to focus on it! Every move Carson uses puts more and more torque on that weakened body part, and the champ starts screaming in pain. The "Genius" can barely even put weight on it, and Carson uses the advantage to wear the champ down! The fans start to warm up as it seems Carson has complete control and is working towards his finishing moves...
... but suddenly, David reverses a move into a sharp DDT! Both men again lay prone to catch their breaths, as the crowd responds with chants like "This is awesome!" The reversal again dazes the tired Carson, and David works quickly while his ankle is weak. The champ follows up with another signature Dirty Kick, and Carson arches his back in pain. David leans against the ropes to steady himself, waiting for his rival to rise off the mat. When Carson staggers up, David hobbles over and rapidly sets him up for his finisher! The "Genius" finds the strength to lift him up... and plants him with a hard Genius Bomb! An exhausted David can barely complete the cover, but has enough of Carson pinned for the referee to count! The official slides in and counts 1... 2... 3!!! David has found a way to survive again, and this time did it in a completely clean way!
The crowd is stunned to see David holding onto the belt, as he can barely walk! The champ rolls out of the ring and collapses onto the floor, rubbing his injured ankle with his title belt draped over his lap. A few moments later, Mr. McMahon walks out onto the stage and gives his ally a round of applause! David looks up to see him, and musters a small smile between wincing. The proud face of the WWE Chairman is the show's final image!

Week 2
Another exciting episode of Monday Night Raw kicks off LIVE from Baltimore, MD!!!
In-Ring Segment
The show begins with the entrance of the new #1 contender to the WWE Championship, Mack Wheeler! The "Human Semi" outlasted 5 other challengers in a battle royal to claim his first shot at Raw's top belt. The 2-time Hardcore champ strolls to the ring, smiling and full of pride, and prepares to address the supportive crowd. Mack takes a breath and talks.
Mack: "As a Texan, I don't like to beat around the bush. I like to get right down to business, and tonight I'm planning to do the same thing. I am absolutely, deeply happy to be the new #1 contender to the WWE Championship. I've worked hard for several years, especially after I was drafted over to Raw this year, and it's only the end result of that hard work. I DESERVE this spot, and I'm going to prove to everyone that I am a legit contender. When I was on Smackdown, I received a few chances at the World Heavyweight Title... but it always felt like every chance was a joke. I was never considered a legit contender to win; just another body in the match. But this time is going to be very different. I've finally worked my way up and I earned this title shot, and I'm ready to SHOCK THE WORLD. David Degenerate has been running roughshod over Raw for months, and it ends now! He hasn't faced me, and he has no idea what I'm capable of. That so-called 'Genius' is going down, and going down HARD. I don't even care if Mr. McMahon's involved. All that matters is what takes place in the ring, and that's where I plan to dominate!"
The crowd gives him a solid ovation, but suddenly... Carson Pain's music hits! The crowd is curious to see what "The Original" has to say to the #1 contender. Carson fell short of his seemingly last chance to win the WWE Title back from David last week, but he steps out onto the stage and responds to Mack.
Carson: "Mack... I love your attitude, and honestly, I'm real proud you won the battle royal last week. You do deserve this chance, and I can't wait to see what you can do against that corrupt pansy."
Mack nods happily, and Carson pauses briefly as the crowd voices their support. He continues to talk to Mack.
Carson: "But... true champions don't back down or avoid challenges. That's all that David does, and he disgraces the illustrious history of that belt every minute he holds it. I don't expect that out of you. And so, to prove it, I'm going to issue a simple challenge for tonight. How about the new #1 contender... yourself... proves he really is the top guy by defeating the former #1 contender... me... in a little main event battle?"
The crowd buzzes with excitement, imagining Carson and Mack trading blows in a main event. Mack strokes his chin in thought, but then smirks and responds.
Mack: "Oh hell yeah! I'd be down for a match tonight. Let me throw something out there... just to make it a little interesting. Let's make it a No DQ match! I've been battling in the Hardcore division for half the year, and I'm jacked for a little extra physicality. But since you're also not one to back down from challenges..."
Mack's voice trails off as he shrugs slyly. Carson scowls playfully and then nods happily.
Carson: "You're on, pal! Let's show this Baltimore crowd who the REAL top guys on Raw really are!"
The crowd whoops it up as Carson exits to backstage. Mack looks around the arena and smiles at the crowd's reaction as the segment ends!

Shawn Midnight vs. Travis Roarke
The first match of the night is a little revenge match with animosity still lingering from Survivor Series! Travis Roarke was captain of Team Raw for the 6-man interpromotional tag match at the last PPV, and Shawn Midnight was named the final member only days before. Travis ran into trouble during the match and went for a tag, but Shawn pulled his hand back and abandoned the team! With Midnight gone and Travis hurting, Team Raw suffered a sweep loss to Team Smackdown. Since then, it's been rumored that the "Assassin" wanted to get some payback for Shawn's betrayal, and tonight they were scheduled to face off!
Shawn entered first to a hostile Baltimore crowd, but "Daddy Mack" ignores them and makes his way to the ring confidently. Soon after, the Skillet theme song for Travis hits and the "Assassin" gets a much warmer response as he throws warm-up punches down the ramp. The two rivals glare at each other and the bell rings to start the match!
Travis controls the early part of the match with a variety of punches, including a Lou Thesz press followed by a flurry of blows. Shawn attempts a few big moves to change the pace, but Travis manages to punch his way back every time. Shawn struggles and decides to escape out of the ring to gather himself. Travis taunts for the crowd, getting some cheers, while Midnight shakes off the cobwebs outside the ropes.
Travis approaches the ropes as he continues to rev up the fans, and Shawn senses his chance. He quickly climbs onto the apron, grabs Travis by the back of the head and pulls his neck down hard onto the top rope! Travis staggers back, and Shawn slides back in to take advantage! Shawn follows up quickly with a slew of big moves, including a suplex, a spinning sidewalk slam and a German suplex after smashing Travis into the corner. With Roarke down and dazed, Shawn fires up and delivers his signature Iron Fists! Travis stumbles up to his feet, holding his face in pain, while Shawn readies himself to land another big maneuver. When the "Assassin" turns around, Shawn lifts him up on his shoulders... and slams him down with his Say Goodnight finisher!
Shawn goes for the cover, and the referee counts the pinfall to give him the victory! Midnight smirks proudly as the crowd jeers the untrustworthy heel!
WINNER: Shawn Midnight

Backstage Segment
The show returns from commercial break and we venture backstage to see Mr. McMahon sitting in the GM office. The WWE Chairman is sitting behind the desk, shuffling through a few documents. A few moments later, the camera pans back and Raw GM Stephanie McMahon walks into the office. Stephanie looks up from her clipboard and spots her father, which surprised her. Steph approaches the desk.
Steph: "Well hello, Dad. Nice to see you here tonight. Where is... uh... where is David Degenerate?"
Mr. McMahon: "Our reigning WWE Champion? Well unfortunately, I had to give him the night off. His injured ankle needs some rest. We don't want our top champion hobbling around here and risking further injury. He should be good to go by next week."
Steph: "Ahh... I see. I'm not going to lie, Dad... I was actually quite impressed with David last week. I didn't think he could pull it off, but he did."
Mr. McMahon: "Just another good day for our champion. He's been just as good as I expected."
Vince returns to his paperwork, but Stephanie has more to chat about.
Steph: "I'm a little excited for the main event tonight. It's nice to see two competitors willing to battle it out. In fact, I decided to up the stakes a little bit. Instead of being a friendly bout, I'm gonna put Mack's #1 contendership on the line. If he's really capable of challenging David, then he should be able to defend his ranking against Carson."
Vince looks up from his paper with a cocked, curious eyebrow. Stephanie continues.
Steph: "Also... I got an update from the private investigator we hired to look into the attack on DMK. Apparently, he's gathered some very good information and has a few leads. Is there any information you know of that you would like be to relay to him?"
Stephanie smirks at her father, who scoffs back and seems to take offense to her comment.
Mr. McMahon: "Stephanie, I honestly have no information about DMK's attack. It was an unfortunate, despicable incident. Now... I know I've been one to stretch the truth from time to time, but I swear to you... I don't know who did it. 100% truth."
Stephanie studies her father's face for a moment, but seems to trust him. She gives one final comment.
Steph: "Sounds good, Dad. I wouldn't think an honorable businessman like you would participate in something like that. Enjoy the rest of the show!"
The Raw GM exits the office as Vince watches her leave. Mr. McMahon ponders her comments as the segment comes to an end.

Tank Blazer vs. Brett Diamond
The next match of the night is a non-title match pitting the U.S. champ against the Hardcore champ! Last week, Brett Diamond eliminated Tank Blazer during the #1 contender battle royal, and news traveled through the grapevine that the "Captain" wanted a revenge match. The bout was agreed to and the champs would face off!
Tank's music hits and the Hardcore champ strolls down to the ring, bickering with the disapproving fans all the way. Next, "Welcome to Atlanta" blares out of the speakers and the Baltimore crowd welcomes the "Professional" to the arena! Brett slaps high-fives with fans down the ramp and near ringside, before climbing into the ring excitedly. The champs get themselves ready, and the bell rings to start things off!
Tank dominates the first part of the match, stunning Brett with several clotheslines. He also slams the "Professional" with a bunch of German suplexes, and reverses one of Brett's moves into a belly-to-belly suplex. The Hardcore champ looks impressive in a non-hardcore style match! But soon after, the U.S. champ starts to rally back. Brett tosses Tank over the top rope, but the "Captain" grabs on and stands on the apron. Brett runs over and clotheslines him down to the floor! The "Professional" climbs out of the ring and starts to knock Tank around. Two big moves give him full control of the match, and really damages his opponent. First, he lifts Tank up into a back suplex, but measures out the landing so that his foe's head smacks off the announce table on his way down! Tank grabs his head in pain, and it clearly dazed him. Next, Brett lifts him off the floor and whips him hard into the ringside steel steps! The men return to the ring before the referee count them out, but Brett has the Hardcore champ reeling!
Back in the ring, Brett whips Tank into the ropes and plants him with a hip toss. Fired up, Brett taunts the crowd and signals for his signature elbow drop! Brett dances towards his opponent, and drops his Diamond's Eye Elbow right onto Tank's chest! Brett taunts again as he waits for the "Captain" to rise off the mat, and he quickly nails him with his Professional Grade finisher! The "Professional" goes for the cover, and the ref counts 1... 2... 3!
Brett celebrates proudly as the crowd cheers him on, and the U.S. champ picks up yet another big win!
WINNER: Brett Diamond

Backstage Segment
A brief commercial break gives the viewers time to reset, and the cameras cue up backstage as we see U.S. champ Brett Diamond walking back towards the locker room, toweling off sweat, after scoring a nice victory over Tank Blazer. Brett wipes the white towel across his brow, but with his vision temporarily blocked, he bumps into another person. He quickly pulls the towel down and goes to apologize, but his face turns into an annoyed scowl. The camera pans back to reveal... Renegade! The "Professional" bumps into his rival, and the party animal smirks and chuckles at the champ.
Renegade: "Better watch out, you... little... idiot."
Brett: "Or what? You gonna do something about it?"
Renegade: "Not tonight. But soon. I'm going to win that title back."
Renegade pokes at the U.S. Title belt over Brett's shoulder, and Brett instinctively pulls it back. Renegade slowly and strangely reaches out for it, but then pulls his hand back before continuing.
Renegade: "I want... I want... my rematch. I DESERVE it! I deserve it... after... eliminating you last week."
Brett: "What is the matter with you?"
Renegade: "Nothing! I want my REMATCH."
Renegade snarls at the champ, and Brett is confused and concerned by his mannerisms. The champ responds.
Brett: "Don't you have some other stuff to take care of first? You don't seem well, bro."
Renegade: "I'm fi-.... I'm fine. I'm FINE! Don't worry about me. You worry about yourself. And that title. I want my rematch. If you don't... if you don't give me my rematch... you're gonna be in a world of HURT. Trust me."
Brett: "Trust? Trust you? Are you threatening me? You can't even have a normal conversation."
Renegade: "You GIVE me my rematch, or I'll beat the living hell out of you! You get back to me ASAP. Rematch!"
Renegade walks off, and the camera pans around to close in on Brett's reaction. The "Professional" is both confused and angry as the segment ends!

Sunny Silva & Beth Phoenix vs. Brittany Black & Maryse
Next up on the match schedule is a very exciting women's tag match featuring the Divas champ! Last week, Sunny Silva upset Maryse and offered a handshake post-match, but the French-Canadian beauty refused to accept the gesture. The Alabama-born rookie confronted Maryse backstage, and a heated argument ensued. Divas champ Brittany Black and Beth Phoenix intervened, but ending up arguing themselves! The war of words led to a tag match challenge for tonight's show, pitting the "Evil Diva" and Maryse against the "Glamazon" and Sunny!
Beth and Sunny make their individual entrances first, and the Baltimore crowd welcomes them very positively. Next, Maryse and Brittany make their own entrances and the crowd showers them with lots of jeers. The two female pairs talk strategy briefly, and Sunny agrees to face Brittany to begin the match. The bell rings and the women get the fight underway!
The rookies battle, and surprisingly, Sunny takes control right away of the champ. A few quick moves stuns Brittany, and the two end up close to Brittany's corner. Suddenly... Maryse reaches out and tags herself in! The "Evil Diva" is surprised that her partner would jump in so early, but reluctantly steps out onto the apron. Maryse can't turn the tide though, and Beth & Sunny show off some good teamwork as they dominate the first part of the match. They perform a double-team move, keep themselves fresh and basically knock Maryse around the ring. Brittany starts to groan and begs for a tag, but Maryse is stubborn and also never gets a chance to reach over. Riding a wave of momentum, Sunny plants Maryse with her Alabama Slammer signature, and follows up right away with her Roll Tide Pride finisher!
Sunny jumps off the mat excitedly, and looks like she's ready for the pinfall. But she ventures too close to Brittany's corner, and the "Evil Diva" reaches out and locks Sunny up by the ropes! The "Alabama Beauty" struggles but can't break free, and when Maryse rises to her feet, she delivers a nasty knee to the gut! Maryse finally tags Brittany back in, and the Divas champ goes to work changing the course of the match. Brittany hits a whole bunch of moves on Sunny, and continues to beat up on rival Beth when the "Glamazon" tags in. An unsuccessful pinfall attempt and a reversal into a neckbreaker changes the momentum back, and Beth and Sunny again take control of the bout!
Maryse needed a long recovery on the apron, but with Brittany struggling, she finds her second wind and begs for a tag. Brittany manages to escape just enough, dives and delivers the hot tag to a rejuvenated Maryse! The French-Canadian beauty races in, clotheslines Beth and shoves Sunny off the apron. When Beth staggers to her feet, Maryse quickly slams her down with her French Kiss DDT finisher! Maryse goes for the cover and the referee counts 1... 2... and Sunny dives at the last second to break up the pin! The rookie evaded Brittany just in time and kept the match alive!
The hot tag had the crowd gasping, and Beth gets more aggressive as she senses how close the loss was! The "Glamazon" goes to work on regaining control of the match, and she dominates Maryse with strong moves. Pumped up and ready, Beth plants Maryse with her signature Fisherman's Suplex! She quickly lifts Maryse up, and damages her with the Glam Slam finisher! Knowing Brittany was likely going to jump in the ring during the pin, Beth gives herself some insurance... by clotheslining Brittany down to the ringside floor! With the Divas champ down, Beth has a chance to score the win. The "Glamazon" slides into a pinfall, and the referee counts the 3 to give her the victory!
Beth and Sunny celebrate happily as the crowd cheers for them, while an angry Brittany seethes outside the ring!

WWE #1 Contender's Match (No DQ)
Carson Pain vs. Mack Wheeler
The fans are buzzing for the night's final match, a No DQ battle with a shot at David's WWE Title on the line! Carson Pain's music hits and "The Original" comes out with a lot of confidence. The crowd gives him a big ovation, and enjoys his signature slide into the ring. Carson starts to stretch and stay loose, and moments later, Mack's theme song blares throughout the arena! The true #1 contender strolls down to the ring with quiet confidence, and gets ready to defend his title shot against the former WWE Champion. Carson and Mack gear up for a hot battle, and the bell rings to start it off!
The first part of the match lives up to expectations, as the clash of styles gives each man a chance to control the fight. Carson uses his athleticism to wow the crowd and damage his opponent, while Mack's impressive strength catches "The Original" off-guard. So far, the No DQ stipulation doesn't really come into play... until the action spills outside!
Mack tackles Carson through the ropes and they both crash to the floor below. Once outside the ring, the men resort to hardcore tactics to inflict more pain. A steel chair is utilized, and both men suffer massive shots to the head and back! Later, Carson tosses the "Human Semi" into the steel steps and the sound of flesh on steel looks just as bad as it sounds! Carson somehow manages to take control, and rolls Mack back into the squared circle.
Back in the ring, "The Original" dominates and the crowd starts to sense another big win for Carson. With Mack reeling, Carson surprises him with his Fresh Cut signature! Carson taunts to the crowd and signals that he's going to attempt one of his finishing moves! The crowd is pumped for a moment... but suddenly, an eerie silence takes over the whole arena...
... because GRAVEDIGGER HAS RETURNED!!! The camera pans back from Carson, and standing behind him is the "Graveyard Monster"!!! The fans are shocked to see the big man return, as he hasn't been seen or heard from since losing to DMK at Judgement Day over a month ago! Carson notices that the fans go quiet, and a tingly feeling makes him look uncomfortable. "The Original" slowly turns around... and his jaw hits the floor! Carson locks eyes with the angry "Monster", and a few anxious moments pass as Carson and 'Digger stare at each other!
Meanwhile, Mack starts to rise off the mat and shakes his head to clear the cobwebs. The "Human Semi" glances around and also notices the intruder standing in the ring, and has a confused expression. Carson snaps out of his shock and starts to question why Gravedigger is there, shouting at him as he approaches cautiously. 'Digger doesn't react but keeps his eyes trained on Carson's position. "The Original" seems to demand that Gravedigger leave, and his caution starts to turn into anger. Eventually, Carson is standing right in front of the match's invader and the confusion and anxiety grows.
Then suddenly... 'Digger catches Carson with a massive punch right in the face! Carson staggers back, holding his face in pain. "The Original" slightly turns as he stumbles, and Gravedigger quickly snatches him in a full nelson! The "Graveyard Monster" lifts Carson high in the air, and slams him viciously down to the mat with his finishing Cemetery Slam! Carson is seemingly knocked out, and 'Digger stands over him breathing deeply.
Mack watches this in his own shocked expression, and looks up at 'Digger and prepares to defend himself. But suddenly... the "Monster" exits the ring slowly and walks off! The "Human Semi" is now very confused, and doesn't know what he should do. 'Digger just made a sudden reappearance and attacked his opponent in a No DQ match. Does he continue the match???
After 'Digger exits from view, Mack decides to continue the fight although Carson appears unable to fight back. Mack lifts him up, and chooses to deliver his Rolled Over signature to his limp foe! The "Human Semi" goes for the cover, and the stunned official counts a fair 3 to give him the win!
Mack rises slowly off the mat, and the ref raises his arm in victory. Mack looks down at Carson for a bit, and then looks around the oddly silent arena. The crowd is absolutely flabbergasted by what just took place, and Mack's decision to finish the match confirms that he is the #1 contender, and will face David for the WWE Title! The neutral expression on Mack's face surrounded by the shocked fans is the final image of the show!
WINNER: Mack Wheeler

Week 3
Two weeks away from the Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV and one week away from the Slammy Awards, another episode of Monday Night Raw opens LIVE from Washington, D.C.!!!
Backstage Segment
The show begins with the cameras on backstage, where we see the #1 contender for the WWE Title make his entrance into the arena! Mack Wheeler won a 6-man battle royal 2 weeks ago and then defeated Carson Pain, albeit thanks to some interference by a returning Gravedigger, last week to defend his ranking. What does the "Human Semi" have in store tonight?
As Mack heads down the hall, he passes an intersection and encounters "The Original" himself! Carson doesn't seem to be pleased, and quickly gets Mack's attention.
Carson: "Hey dude... got a second?"
Mack: "What do want, Carson?"
Carson: "I'm not gonna lie, man... you kinda did me dirty last week. I had control of that match, and then 'Digger comes out of nowhere to attack me. I figured an honorable man like you would have maybe asked for a restart. I can't believe you would finish that match in that situation."
Mack: "Yo... I'm real sorry that Gravedigger attacked you, but I had nothing to do with that. I had no choice. I have a WWE Title opportunity. I'm not going to let that go to waste. I'm going to do whatever it takes. Plus, it was a No DQ match. Anybody could have interfered in either of our behalves and it would have been legal."
The tension is high between them, but Carson seems to be okay with Mack's justification. Another person enters the scene, and both Mack & Carson groan. The camera pans back to reveal... WWE champ David Degenerate! The "Dangerous Genius" took a week off to rest his sore ankle, but he seems to be back to his arrogant self as he walks up with a smile on his face. David speaks to both men.
David: "Well isn't this a nice gathering of the idiots? What are you two ladies chatting about?"
Carson: "Get the hell outta here, David. We're having a conversation."
David: "Oh, don't worry. I've got something to say. I mean... this is the #1 contender and all, right?"
He gestures towards Mack, and the "Human Semi" glares at the champ.
David: "Honestly, Mack... I know you're all proud of yourself and whatnot, but this is going to be a complete waste of time for all of us. You don't really think that you're capable of actually giving me a good challenge right?"
Mack: "Whatever, man. I'm not playing this stupid game of yours. You don't think I'm worthy? Fine. Let's settle it in the ring. How about a main event match tonight? Me against you, no stipulations, just wrestling. If I'm not worthy, then it should be an easy win for you. What do you say?"
David is stunned by the forthcoming offer, and he considers it for a moment. The champ then responds.
David: "Sounds great! I need to get back in shape after some other idiot tried to break my foot off. I'll see you later, Longhorn!"
The "Genius" walks off, while Mack and Carson watch him leave. They glance at each other, but Mack just scoffs and continues to head towards the locker room. A WWE Title preview tonight on Raw?!

Big Juan Santos vs. Shawn Midnight
The "Grande y Mal" rookie would face off against Midnight in a competition between two of Raw's biggest grapplers! Big Juan had been quietly putting together a nice string of wins, while Shawn's also been fairly successful... but also a bit of a prick! Shawn abandoned Team Raw at Survivor Series, and defeated Travis Roarke in a match last week in what was supposed to be a "payback" match for the "Assassin". Fans were able to get behind this match, knowing something had to give!
Both men made their entrances and got ready for an opening-bout brawl. Shawn took control of the early portion of the match, showing off impressive strength and quickness in throwing Big Juan around and reversing a few moves. But the "Mexican Brute" found a way to knock his foe out of the ring, and the match direction took a big change! Big Juan used the announce table wisely, slamming Midnight's head right off of it. With his foe groggy, the rookie lifted him up... and powerbombed him right on top of the table! The table didn't break, so Shawn got a very stiff landing!
The action returned to the ring, and Shawn managed to rally back. After both men traded several belly-to-belly suplexes, "Daddy Mack" planted Big Juan with a gutwrench powerbomb. With the rookie down, Shawn grabbed him by the legs... and impressively swung him around with his Long Island Loop! But Midnight attempted to whip his foe into the corner, and the "Mexican Brute" reversed and sent him towards the turnbuckles instead. Big Juan raced over and delivered a vicious clothesline to daze Shawn, and knocked him down to the mat with a running shoulder block!
With Midnight down, Big Juan taunted the crowd and geared up for his signature! The rookie bounced off the ropes and landed a painful Falling Giant signature headbutt! Big Juan got up and waited for his opponent to rise. When Shawn staggered to his feet, Big Juan lifted him up... and slammed him down with his Ultimo Tango finisher! The "Mexican Brute" went for the cover, and the referee counted the 1-2-3 to give him a big win!
The crowd erupted into huge cheer for Big Juan, and the rookie raised his arms proudly!

Backstage Interview
After a brief commercial break, the show returns with Justin Roberts ready to interview Hardcore champ Tank Blazer backstage! The "Captain" seemed to be oozing confidence as he stood and waited for the interview to start, and Justin received his cue to begin.
Justin: "Hello everyone! Tonight I am joined by Hardcore Champion Tank Blazer. Tank... you've had some great success in the Hardcore division over the past few months. Currently, there is not a feud attached to you right now. How would you view your current status?"
Tank: "Well, Justin... I'm glad you mentioned all the great success I've had. Yes, I've been pretty dominant in Hardcore matches since I took an interest in it. But of course, that was to be expected! I'm the toughest there is, the toughest there was and likely... the toughest there ever will be! I'm probably the greatest Hardcore champ of all time!"
Justin: "Wow, that is quite the bold statement. Is there anything you'd like to add?"
Tank: "Of course! You mentioned that I have no feud right now, and I'd like to change that. I'm a fighting champion of course! I need some in-ring action to keep my skills fresh. So I am issuing an open challenge for a title match next week. Anybody can feel free to give it a shot, but be forewarned... it is not going to end well!"
Suddenly, another person butts into the interview.
Corey: "Are you throwing out an open challenge? Hardcore Title match?"
Corey Youngblood steps into the frame and addresses Tank directly.
Tank: "Yes. Yes I am."
Corey: "Well count me in, champ! I'm on my way to my next match now, but I will be there next week. I accept your challenge! And not only that... I'm gonna win the title too! Ha!"
Corey heads towards the stage area, and the camera re-focuses on Tank and Justin. They look at each other, and Tank shakes his head and chuckles as the segment ends!
Ha!"

Brett Diamond vs. Corey Youngblood
Next up on the match schedule is a battle between the "Professional" and the former hockey player! U.S. champ Brett Diamond has been one of Raw's best recently, including being nominated for the Breakout Star Slammy Award, and picked up a win over Hardcore champ Tank Blazer. Corey just accepted Tank's open challenge for a Hardcore Title match next week, and could get a big boost if he is able to upset the U.S. champ tonight!
Brett's entrance gets a big ovation from the fans, as they seem to love the charismatic Atlanta native. Next, Corey's crazed entrance featuring a chug of soda, a crushing of the can against his skull and his trademark kendo stick has fans wondering if he's finally gone off the deep end. The men enter the ring, the bell sounds and the match gets underway!
Despite Corey's best efforts, this match is all Brett. The U.S. champ dominates right from the get-go, and despite a few counters by the "Pucker", he stays in control pretty much throughout. In the end, the "Professional" dazes Corey for good with his signature Samoan Drop! With Youngblood down on the mat, Brett ties up his legs and locks in his signature Lookin' Good Lock! Corey groans and reaches for the ropes, but Brett cranks up the pressure and prevents him from moving. With no other options and in a lot of pain, Corey taps out to give the U.S. champ another impressive victory!
WINNER: Brett Diamond

Post-Match Segment
The fans go crazy for the "Professional" and he stands proud, letting the referee raise his arm in victory! A few moments later... Renegade's music hits! The crowd's reaction immediately turns to boos, and the "Party Animal" stumbles out onto the stage. He claps sarcastically for Brett, and the U.S. champ just grits his teeth. Finally, Renegade speaks.
Renegade: "Yo... good win, bro. I see you've barely broken a sweat. Must be nice to not have a challenge, eh?"
Brett shakes his head while Renegade smirks and chuckles before continuing.
Renegade: "I told you last week to give me a rematch, or there would be hell to pay. So it's been a week... do I get a rematch or do I have to dish out a little hell?"
Brett accepts a microphone so he can reply.
Brett: "Yeah, sure. I'll give you your stupid rematch. I mean, it's not like you're in any condition to challenge me anyway."
Renegade: "Oh, don't you worry about my condition. I'd be more concerned about your own."
Brett: "I'm sure I'll be fine. So great, you got your rematch. Now get outta here!"
Renegade: "No, no, no, no... it's not like that. I forgot to mention a few things I want. Let's plan the rematch for the next pay-per-view. Let's put this match on a grand stage for all to see!"
Brett: "Fine, whatever. Is that it?"
Renegade: "Ha ha ha... no, not even close. I also think a prime match like ours needs something... a little special. It is the Tables, Ladders & Chairs show, isn't it? I'm not too keen on climbing up ladders... but I do like tables! I'd love to smash that ugly face of yours through a smattering of wood. I think it would be a fitting way for me to reclaim MY title."
Brett: "You got it, pal. I'm not too concerned about you taking MY title. I mean seriously... if I came over there right now and tapped you on the shoulder, you'd probably tumble off that stage and smash through any of those crew tables below. Beating you in a Tables match will be even easier than tonight's match was."
Renegade: "I guess we'll have to see about that... see you soo... soo... s-soon, buddy!"
The "Party Animal" wildly tosses his mic and stumbles back through the curtain, laughing maniacally. Brett scowls and shakes his head again. The U.S. Title will be on the line at the next PPV!

Backstage Segment
The show returns from commercials and a clip is shown from a backstage incident during the break. Brett Diamond was walking back towards the locker room after his match and conversation with Renegade afterwards. While the "Professional" wipes the sweat from his brow, Beth Phoenix approaches. The "Glamazon" gets her ally's attention.
Beth: "Brett! Brett!"
Brett: "Oh, what's up girl?"
Beth: "Brett... what are you thinking?! Are you crazy?"
Brett: "What are you talking about?"
Beth: "You agreed to give him a rematch? And in a Table match?! You know that's not a good idea."
Brett: "Hey, hey... don't worry. I'm not going to underestimate him. I'm expecting him to come in a little crazy, but I'll be ready."
Beth calms a bit, but then someone interrupts their conversation.
Brittany: "Beth, I definitely agree with you. I don't think Brett should be facing Renegade for the title. In fact, I don't think he should be U.S. champ at all!"
Divas champ Brittany Black approaches and taunts the Professional Glam duo. Beth gets very angry very quickly and responds.
Beth: "Brittany, I am not in the mood for your mouthing off right now. Do you want a fight? Huh?! Because I will give you..."
Suddenly, Brett pulls her back just before Beth tries to get into her rival's face. Brittany laughs as the U.S. champ tries to calm his friend down.
Brittany: "I'd suggest walking away... before SOMEONE gets hurt."
Beth tries to push past Brett, but the "Professional" holds her back. He finally convinces her to walk it off, and she scoffs angrily as she heads down the hall. Brett follows closely behind and the the camera pans back to Brittany. The "Evil Diva" chuckles proudly as the segment ends!

In-Ring Segment
Back in the arena, the fans wait patiently until... a lightning bolt hits the stage and Gravedigger's haunting music hits! The crowd erupts into boos for the "Graveyard Monster", but he didn't react at all as he walked down to the ring. After climbing into the squared circle, 'Digger grabbed a microphone and prepared to address the angry viewers.
Gravedigger: "I'm sure all of you dedicated sheep are wondering why I returned last week and attacked the faltering Carson Pain. I figured I would address all of your superficial concerns and lay out MY expectations for what's next. You see... I consider myself to be a fair person. I try to judge things the way they are meant to be judged, to look at both sides of the coin. And as I observed Carson Pain from afar during my time away... I saw someone taking advantage of a corrupt system. Week in and week out, Carson was given so many chances, extra chances by the way, to reclaim the WWE Title. And he failed... every... single... time. It disgusted me to watch a man struggle to do what's necessary to capture what he felt was important. Sometimes... you have to do something you don't feel comfortable doing. I saw that side of Carson back at Night of Champions. When he smacked DMK with that chair to help him win that match, I couldn't have been more proud of him. But now... all I see is a man that can't win in a Cage match... can't win in an Iron Man match that he HIMSELF chose. This is a broken shell of a man. His confidence is gone. His skills have eroded. I honestly feel bad for him. I regret... not taking him out of commission SOONER."
The crowd is stunned at Gravedigger's forceful comments. He pauses for a moment before continuing.
Gravedigger: "So instead of letting his broken man continue to wander the Raw brand with no goals, no accomplishments, no FUTURE... I am going to take full responsibility for ENDING Carson Pain. When an animal is weakened, you put it out of its misery. You send it to a better place, while using its power for your own gain. In Carson's case... I'm going to put him in his proper place at the bottom of the roster, while I will take his place as the next dangerous threat! In order to do this, to really make this move as effective as possible... I'm going to need to face Carson at the next pay-per-view event. The more eyeballs and investment into this necessary moment, the better. Carson needs a reset... and I'm the one who will push the button!"
'Digger glares confidently around the arena as the crowd voices their disapproval. But a few seconds later... Carson's music plays and the crowd erupts into cheers! "The Original" strolls slowly out onto the stage, eyeing 'Digger with a confused, curious look. He walks quickly down to the ring, and the "Monster" watches him very intently. Carson steps onto the apron and walks along the edge for a few steps, studying 'Digger before entering the ring. Feeling brave, Carson steps through the ropes and addresses his rival right away.
Carson: "I don't know what you're talking about, but I am NOT broken. In every case you've mentioned, there has been illegal or unwarranted actions that have prevented me from re-capturing that title. It's convenient how you overlook all those reasons and focus solely on the fact that I've gotten multiple chances. I've earned those chances because these fans deserve a good champion; they deserve to have someone fight for them instead of insulting their intelligence. I mean... how could these fans rally around you as a champion? For all we know... you were likely the one behind the wheel when DMK got smashed! Seems like a natural reaction to someone who FAILED so spectacularly to beat DMK. Lose the match, take him out. Is that what happened, 'Digger???"
Gravedigger shakes his head slowly as Carson accuses him of being the driver in the vehicular attack on DMK at the end of the Judgment Day PPV. 'Digger did lose to DMK in a Last Man Standing match earlier in that show, but the attacker is still unknown. 'Digger takes a big breath and replies.
Gravedigger: "I did NOT attack DMK. Now, I know that I've done or attempted some possibly despicable things but... hitting him with a car? No. That act was a cowardly act. If I have a problem with someone... I will meet them face to face. I don't hide behind others. I don't hide behind a vehicle. If there's dirty work to be done, then I do it MYSELF. And yes... I did lose to DMK. I'm not disputing that fact at all. But there is a fact that YOU can't come to grips with. DMK... is much, much, MUCH stronger than you'll ever be. I challenged DMK directly and he answered the call. I'm challenging you... and you come out here and bring up excuses. 'Oh, there were illegal actions...!' I'm sorry, but that's a sorry response. You DID NOT get the job done. DMK... would have gotten the job done. You... you are a waste of time!"
Carson becomes offended and enraged at 'Digger's comments, and suddenly... he incites a brawl! "The Original" throws wild punches as Gravedigger protects himself. But then... 'Digger catches Carson with a massive uppercut! Carson flops back into the corner, and the "Monster" steps over and starts to rattle his foe with punches to the head and gut. Carson moans in pain after each blow and eventually tumbles out of the ring. Gravedigger follows and tosses Carson into the steel steps. With "The Original" prone on the ringside floor, 'Digger mounts his torso and starts focusing his punches directly onto his foe's forehead. After several very hard blows, blood starts to seep out of Carson's bruised skin! Finally, the "Graveyard Monster" seems satisfied and stands up, looking down at a beaten and bloodied Carson. The crowd is shocked at the aggressiveness of 'Digger and the red fluids trickling down Carson's face! The "Monster" walks off as medical personnel check on "The Original", and the segment comes to an end!

Backstage Segment
The show returns from its final break and backstage, we see Tag Team champs Alpha & Omega chatting in Japanese with their mentor Master Kimoto. The Japanese luchadors picked up an easy win over a local tag team on Superstars last week.
Everything seems fine until... the Bullet Boyz attack them out of nowhere! Craig & Tony go after the champs quickly, throwing wild punches and using the environment to their advantage. Master Kimoto pleads with them to stop, but the former foster brothers ignore and continue to thrash their rivals. Craig smashes Alpha with a trash can, while Tony kicks Omega in the chin with his Pride of Mexico finisher! With the champs down, Craig speaks.
Craig: "We want our rematch! Those Tag Team Titles belong to us, not you. You better plan to put them on the line next week. You understand that, you morons?"
Alpha & Omega are writhing in pain, while Master Kimoto looks at them in a panic. Craig notices and addresses the elder manager.
Craig: "And you? You old has-been! You stay out of this. This concerns us and those Japanese fools. You could have something coming for you too."
Tony gives Kimoto a light shove, and the mentor looks back with a scowl. The Bullet Boyz take off, and the elder mentor checks on his students a little closer. A distraught look comes over his face as the segment ends!

Main Event:
Mack Wheeler vs. David Degenerate (w/ Mr. McMahon)
The final match of the night gets ready to start, with a WWE Title match preview closing out the show! Mack Wheeler's theme blasts through the speakers, and the crowd gives him a solid ovation. The #1 contender seems pretty confident and loosen up calmly as he waits for his opponent. Next, David Degenerate's music hits and the fans erupt into huge jeers for the arrogant champ! David strolls down to the ring, arms raised to taunt the crowd, with Mr. McMahon by his side. The WWE Champion climbs into the ring, and seems to be almost laughing as he glances over at the "Human Semi". The referee gathers these two for this non-title bout, and again David is smirking arrogantly. Does the champ even take this match seriously? The bell rings to start things off, and they lock up!
Sure enough, David's attitude is due to him not taking the match and his opponent seriously. He loafs through the beginning of the match, and chuckles after Mack lands a few moves early on. But it doesn't take long for those laughs to become groans and moans of pain! Mack dominates the match right from the start, and mid-match the "Dangerous Genius" starts to panic! But by the time the panic sets in, he has already suffered too much damage and Mack is in complete control.
The action spills outside the ring, but again David struggles to gain any sort of footing against a very motivated "Human Semi". With the champ reeling, Mack gets a wild idea... and strips down one of the announce tables! David staggers to his feet, using the ring apron for assistance, but Mack grabs him by the neck and pulls him over to the bare table. In one fell swoop, Wheeler lifts the champ up... and smashes him through the announce table with a vicious powerbomb! The crowd shouts in excitement, and everyone is extremely impressed with how Mack is dominating this match easily.
Nearby, Mr. McMahon starts to panic as well but keeps his distance. He desperately wants to help his hand-picked champion, but Mack's aggressiveness concerns him. After a few moments, Mack regains some energy and pulls David's limp body out of the wreckage of table and rolls him back into the ring. The WWE champ gets up and tries to throw an exhausted punch, but Mack ducks it and... starts delivering his 3-Wheeler signature trio of suplexes! Each slam seems to daze David more and more, and after the 3rd one the champ again is down and groggy. Mack taunts the crowd, and they respond positively as it seems like he's going to finish David off with a spear! After waiting patiently for David to rise up, Mack sprints across the ring... and blasts him in the gut with his Speeding Semi finisher! Wheeler goes for the cover and the ref counts 1... 2...
... and suddenly, Mr. McMahon grabs Mack's foot and pulls him out of the ring! The referee calls for the disqualification due to the interference, and Mack glares at a wide-eyed, frightened WWE Chairman! Mack takes one small step and Vince books it away from the ring, heading up the ramp as fast as he can! The "Human Semi" chases for a bit, but then realizes that it's not worth it. Mack has scored the win by DQ, but it definitely was not a satisfying victory!
WINNER (by DQ): Mack Wheeler

Post-Match Segment
Mack returns to the ring and walks right over to the announce area, snatching a microphone. The "Human Semi" catches his breath and speaks.
Mack: "I'm not settling for no DQ win. That's bullcrap! I DESERVE a WWE Title shot, and I proved it tonight before that coward McMahon ruined it. I'm the #1 contender and I want my chance. David... I am demanding a title match, and I want it at the next pay-per-view. It's Tables, Ladders & Chairs... and that's the exact match I want! You want to think I'm not worthy? Then watch me smash you through tables, batter you with chairs and climb up a ladder to take that WWE Title away. What do you say, you little punk???"
In the ring, David had slowly come to his senses and was listening through winces. The WWE champ listens to the crowd's reaction to Mack's challenge, and shakes his head. He mouths "No" slowly, and his response makes Mack even angrier. He goes to step into the ring again... but Raw GM Stephanie McMahon interrupts on the screen!
Steph: "Mack, Mack... that's not necessary. I know you want to get your hands on David, but save it for TLC. David... you can say 'No' all you want, but at the end of the day I'm the one that makes the decisions. Mack is the #1 contender and looked very impressive tonight. He deserves a title match, and I'm going to grant one! At the Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV, David will defend his WWE Championship against Mack Wheeler... in the Tables, Ladders & Chairs match! Enjoy the last bit of your reign, David. Because if tonight was an indication... it's about to come to an end!"
The crowd roars with approval, and David glares at the smiling GM on the screen. The WWE champ makes two angry fists and is shaking with rage as he turns to make eye contact with his new rival. The intense staredown between David and Mack is the final image of the show!

Week 4
Less than a week away from the Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV, the final December episode of Monday Night Raw opens LIVE from Indianapolis, IN!
In-Ring Segment
The fans welcome the entrance of Raw GM Stephanie McMahon, who walks out onto the stage near the setup Slammy Awards podium. The "Billion-Dollar Princess" smiles at the friendly crowd and makes a few announcements.
Steph: "Hello Indy, and welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw! Of the 5 available awards, 4 of them will be awarded to members of the Raw roster! The 5th and final award will be announced later this week on Friday Night Smackdown. In between matches this evening, I will come out to recognize all the nominations and nominees and announce the winner of the award. In most cases, the winner will be allowed to speak if they wish. I'm very excited for this year's awards show and the special slate of matches we have planned as well. I am also pleased to announce tonight's main event, which will combine two of Raw's upcoming pay-per-view matches. In the closing match, a tag match will take place, with WWE Champion David Degenerate and Gravedigger facing off against Carson Pain and #1 contender Mack Wheeler! I figured it would be a great way to show off two of our great feuds here on the red brand before Sunday's show. Thank you, and enjoy the show!"
The crowd gives her a cheer, and Steph waves towards the fans as he heads backstage. The first match of the night is next!

Tag Team Championship:
Alpha & Omega {C} (w/ Master Kimoto) vs. Bullet Boyz
The first of two scheduled title matches kicks off the card, a rematch from Survivor Series! The Japanese luchador duo of Alpha & Omega shocked everyone by upsetting Craig & Tony Bullet at the last PPV to win their 1st Tag Team Titles. But after hiding for a few weeks, the former foster brothers re-emerged last week by attacking Alpha & Omega twice, including ruining their match on Superstars. Fans have been wondering if their title run will end at the hands of their criminal rivals, so everyone will get their answer now!
Both teams made their entrances with a lot of confidence, and an intense staredown between the teams begins things off. Alpha and Craig open the proceedings for their respective teams, but right from the get-go it is the champs' match! The Japanese high-flyers dominate most of the match, using their varied array of hurricanranas and moonsaults, stunning Craig & Tony throughout the battle.
The criminal bros manage to get a few moves in, but both Alpha & Omega manage to reverse each brief rally. The Japanese duo hit a double-team hurricanrana-into-powerbomb move to stun Tony, and they go right into closing the match out. When Tony staggers to his feet, Alpha blinds him with his Mystery Spray! Tony whiplashes back, wildly trying to wipe his eyes out, but Alpha begins his Tatsumaki finishing combo! Omega punches Craig but races back to his corner to avoid causing trouble with the ref, and Alpha completes the combo with a hurricanrana pin! The official slides down and counts 1... 2... and Craig dives off the turnbuckle to break it up!
The big save stuns Alpha for a bit, allowing Tony to hit a strong suplex, but the "New-Gen Luchador" counters again! With Tony dazed again, Alpha again starts another Tatsumaki! This time, Omega clotheslines Craig down to the ringside floor to keep him away! With Craig unable to stop it, Alpha completes the finisher and pins Tony to retain the titles!
The crowd gives a big cheer for the champs, and a very ecstatic Master Kimoto enters the ring to celebrate with his successful pupils!
WINNERS (and still Tag Team Champions): Alpha & Omega

Slammy Awards Segment
After a quick commercial break, the show returns and Stephanie again walks out to deliver the first award of the night! Steph pauses to let the crowd's buzz quiet down, and then begins her award procedure.
Steph "Hello again! Our first Slammy Award of the night is for Breakout Star! And now, let's review the nominees..."
A quick video montage is shown displaying big moves and moments from the past year for H.E.R.O., Quinn Cadbury, Angus, Rebel Ford and Brett Diamond. Those include Intercontinental and Tag Team Title wins for Quinn, the World Heavyweight Title win and battles for Rebel, the Hardcore & U.S. Title moments for Brett and the Money in the Bank victory for Angus. After the montage ends and the crowd settles down, Steph announces the winner.
Steph: The winner of this year's Breakout Star award goes to... Brett Diamond!"
The crowd whoops it up for the "Professional", and the reigning U.S. champ strolls out to his entrance music! Brett is definitely taken aback by the surprise, and gladly accepts the award and gives the Raw GM a quick embrace. Brett steps up to the mic and appears ready to give a speech.
Brett: "Wow! I've just gotta say... wow! I was not expecting this. There were a lot of deserving guys on that list, but apparently I..."
And suddenly, another voice interrupts him.
Renegade: "You... are a complete phony!"
Renegade comes through the crowd, leaps the barricade and stumbles into the ring. Brett and Steph watch him in confusion at first, but their expression both turn to annoyance. Renegade continues to rant.
Renegade: "Breakout star? More like breakdown stupid. This cat is just garbage, and you voted for him? He doesn't deserve anything, including that belt around his waist. You all are going to be shocked this Sunday, when I smash that ugly face through a pile of wood and take back a title that's rightfully mine. A title belt should go to the BEST wrestler in the division. It doesn't matter if they're some phony ass-kisser like this dude here on the stage. And I'M the BEST, not him! You will find that out on Sunday."
Brett just shakes his head at the insults, and Renegade stumbles around the ring and wildly waves his arms as he speaks. The "Party Animal" has one more things to say.
Renegade: "In fact, I feel like giving everyone a preview right now. I challenge anyone in the back to come out here and face me, right now! And Brett... you can keep your sorry ass on that stage and watch your future demise. So come on! Who's man enough to face me? Who WANTS SOME?"
Renegade whips off his sunglasses and hooded sweatshirt and stomps around the ring waiting for someone to answer his challenge. Brett and Steph glance at each other, but the Raw GM just shrugs her shoulders and walks off. The U.S. champ stands to the side of the stage and waits to see who might show!

Renegade vs. ???
A few anxious moments pass, and Renegade starts to get impatient in the ring. Meanwhile, Brett chuckles as no one seems to be coming out to face this crazed dude pacing wildly. But suddenly... Dylan Dynamite's music hits! Brett's jaw drops and Renegade laughs maniacally, knowing that someone got the courage to face the "Party Animal" tonight! The "Dynamite Kid" ignores Brett and walks purposefully down to the squared circle, climbing in to get ready for battle.
The bell rings and Dylan immediately catches Renegade off-guard with a running dropkick! He follows up with a DDT, a jumping side kick and a running bulldog to take complete control of the match. Desperate to change the progression, Renegade slips out of the ring and shakes the cobwebs off.
While outside the ring, Renegade angrily strips the announce table bare! The "Party Animal" slides back in and quickly starts to rally. Eventually he tosses Dylan onto the apron... and then spears him off! Dylan's head bounces off the bare table, and he falls down to the floor. Renegade exits the ring and goes right on the offensive, picking his foe up and tossing him gut-first into the corner of the table! Dylan gasps for air, and Renegade glances over at Brett, who was still watching intently on the stage. Renegade picks Dylan up and attempts to whip him into the steel steps... but Dylan reverses and the "Wild One" goes flying into the metal! Both men take a moment to recover, and the crowd is starting to get into this impromptu matchup.
The men trade punches, but Renegade again gets the advantage. He lifts Dylan onto the bare table, and quickly scales the nearest turnbuckle. Renegade taunts Brett and the crowd, steadies himself and... delivers a massive flying elbow to crash Dylan through the table! The crowd erupts for the big move, which could signal what might happen in the U.S. Title match this Sunday! Renegade staggers up, spots the loose steel steps... and decides to toss them into the ring! The referee is confused, as this is not supposed to be a No DQ match. Renegade drags Dylan back into the ring, sets up up on the turnbuckle and drops him with a big neckbreaker. Renegade goes over to adjust the steel steps... but the official snatches them and tosses them out of the ring! Renegade and the referee get into a heated argument, but the official explains the match stipulations and possible illegal use of the steel!
Angry and frustrated, Renegade takes out his emotions on his damaged opponent. With Dylan on all fours and trying to recover, the "Party Animal" steps over and delivers a vicious Boot Down signature punt! The "Dynamite Kid" staggers to his feet, extremely woozy, and Renengade finishes him off with a Kick-olution! Renegade covers his foe and ref counts the 1-2-3 to give him the win!
Renegade rises to his feet, but his eyes quickly get into a staredown with the U.S. champ watching on the stage. What is going to happen when these rivals face off in a Tables match this Sunday???
WINNER: Renegade

Slammy Awards Segment
Following a brief break, the show returns and Stephanie is again out to announce the next award!
Steph: "Well, let's see if this award announcement goes a little more smoothly than the last one. We will announce the winner of the Most Shocking Moment. First, the nominees..."
Another montage is shown, giving clips off each of the nominated moments. The moments include the vehicular attack on DMK, the reveal of the partnership between David Degenerate and Mr. McMahon, the kidnapping of Eve Torres, the betrayal by Quinn Cadbury on Joseph T. Lutte, Antonio Jordan interfering in a match by disguising himself as the ringside cameraman, DMK & David Degenerate's formation of their short-lived Hell's Genius duo and Gravedigger's attempt to burn DMK alive live on an episode of Raw. The crowd reacts to pretty much every moment, re-living them again. When the montage ends, the focus returns to the Raw GM.
Steph: "The winning moment of the year is... Gravedigger attempting to burn DMK in the casket!"
Stephanie claps but suddenly, Gravedigger's haunting theme plays! The "Graveyard Monster" walks slowly onto the stage, and Steph has a slightly frightened look on her face. She attempts to hand the Slammy Award to 'Digger, who looks down at it curiously. Finally, he pushes it away and Stephanie takes the trophy away and leaves the area. Gravedigger grabs the microphone and walks slowly down to the ring.
Gravedigger: "This Sunday... I plan on making another memorable moment. Instead of trying to put the fear of death into someone, like I did with DMK and that beautiful casket, I'm going to simply destroy a man that you all cheer for. I'm going to beat the life out of him, right in front of everyone, and change the whole progression of his existence. This Sunday... the Carson Pain as you know him will end. Possibly... a new one, a better one, a more humble one may emerge. But that... that's not up to me. My job is to simply be the catalyst for change. If he doesn't... so be it!"
The crowd boos the "Monster", but the masked man barely reacts. He continues.
Gravedigger: "Last week on Raw, Carson and I got into an altercation here in the ring. The result of that was simple... and very satisfying. Carson was left in a pool of his own blood. Caused at my own hands. And boy... it felt GREAT! So great, that I'm feeling the need to get that feeling again. This Sunday, I'm posing a simple challenge. I propose that we make our match a FIRST BLOOD match. If my goals will come true, then not only will I destroy Carson... but he'll be left bloody as well!"
Suddenly... Carson Pain's music hits and the crowd erupts! "The Original" walks slowly out onto the stage, eyeing Gravedigger with a scowl. Carson wastes no time in addressing his rival.
Carson: "Gravedigger... you can't destroy me. You talk a big game, you claim I'm not as strong as others, but all this is just a facade for your own shortcomings. YOU failed at capturing the WWE Title. YOU failed in trying to destroy DMK. And this Sunday, YOU will be the one bleeding! Yes, I accept your match and on Sunday... I vow to prove to everyone just how tough I am! In front of millions and millions of viewers, YOU will fail again!!!"
The rivals engage in an intense staredown as the segment comes to an end! They will face off a little later in the main event, but this Sunday... one or both of them will end up covered in blood!

Hardcore Championship:
Tank Blazer {C} vs. Corey Youngblood
The second title match of the night gets ready to start, as the Hardcore Title will be on the line! Last week, champ Tank Blazer issued an open challenge and Corey Youngblood, a one-time Hardcore champ, answered. So the "Captain" and the former hockey player would throw caution to the wind and put their need for violence in the ring!
Corey enters first and seems crazed and ready to battle for a chance at re-capturing a title he hasn't held in over a year. Next, Tank enters and the crowd boos him viciously! The "Captain" struts to the ring and talks trash to his opponent as he hands his title over to the referee. The bell rings and the title war gets underway!
It doesn't take long for the men to involve a few choice weapons, and there is a very minimal amount of actual wrestling. The action spills outside early on, and Tank pulls out a guitar from the under the ring. Corey turns towards him and the "Captain" splinters the instrument over his head! Corey whips Tank into the steel steps, and the champ responds with a steel chair forehead shot. The former hockey player pulls out a ladder, and both men trade shots to the face with the long metal climber! Soon after, Tank picks up the steel steps and delivers a nasty shot to his challenger's face. The referee scolds Tank a bit, and the champ responds by hitting the official with the steel steps too! It's a brutal, crazy match so far!
The ladder makes its way into the ring, and Tank also tosses a bunch of chairs into the squared circle. The competitors return to the ring, but the violence doesn't stop. Tank crushes Corey's ankle and foot by stomping on a chair propped around it and also DDTs him onto a prone chair. Corey responds by suplexing the champ onto the ladder, but Tank uses more chairs to damage his foe. Tank wraps a chair around the hockey player's neck, and stomps on it to sharply injure him! Corey rolls in pain onto his stomach, but Tank places a chair underneath him. The champ grabs another chair, and slams it down to perform a con-chair-to!
With Corey reeling and the champ angry, "Captain" lifts him up and plants him down with his finishing Captain's Choice! Tank rolls him over and covers, and the groggy official counts the 1-2-3 to give him the win!
WINNER (and still Hardcore Champion): Tank Blazer

Post-Match Segment
The crowd jeers the defending Hardcore champ, but Tank mildly celebrates... because his eyes are still on his knocked-out foe. Suddenly, Tank grabs a spare chair... and starts wailing on Corey repeatedly! The fans' boos become more forceful, but Tank doesn't relent the unwarranted post-match assault!
But suddenly... Big Mutha Trucker's music hits, and the crowd erupts in cheers! The "Resident Redneck" sprints down to the ring, and Tank looks up with a stunned expression! Trucker slides in, but the "Captain" drops the chair, grabs his title belt and quickly slides out of the ring. Trucker steps between Tank and Corey, raising his fists and daring Tank to a fight. The "Captain" staggers away, still stunned by Trucker's appearance, but waves off his challenge and heads backstage! Trucker glares at him as the crowd honors his rescue efforts, and the show heads to its final commercial break!

Slammy Awards Segment
When the show returns, Stephanie again saunters out onto the stage to announce more Slammy Awards! The Raw GM stands at the podium, soaking in the crowd's excitement, before beginning her prepared remarks.
Steph "Hello everyone, and I am ready to announce the winners for Match of the Year and Superstar of the Year. First, let me show..."
But before she can finish, Mr. McMahon's music hits! Steph turns in confusion, and the WWE Chairman struts out onto the stage! Vince approaches his daughter, and seems to be taking over these announcements!
Mr. McMahon: "Thank you Stephanie, but I would like to personally honor the winners of these two awards, if you don't mind. I think we can cut right to the chase and honor the year's best match and best man without the need to re-hash the other unimportant things. For Match of the Year, let's watch the highlights!"
A video montage is shown from the 60-minute Iron Man match for the WWE Championship from last month's Survivor Series between David Degenerate and Carson Pain. The clip appears to be heavily edited, as the clip only displays the action and moves for the "Dangerous Genius"! The clip ends with the hobbling champ walking out with the belt, and Vince addresses the crowd with a big smile.
Mr. McMahon: "The Match of the Year belongs to the Iron Man WWE Championship match, won of course by David Degenerate! And as for Superstar of the Year, let's again show the highlights!"
Another video montage is shown, but it is basically a David Degenerate highlight reel. All of David's big moments are shown, and the crowd starts to realize that something fishy is going on. The clip ends, and Vince again happily talks.
Mr. McMahon: "Ladies and gentlemen, the Superstar of the Year, our great WWE Champion... let me welcome... David Degenerate!!!"
David's music hits and the "Genius" strolls out onto the stage, receiving a huge chorus of boos from the Indiananpolis crowd. David walks over to Vince, graciously accepts both awards and hugs the WWE Chairman. Stephanie stands behind them, a scowl on her face and a slow shake of her head. This seems to be obviously staged for the corporate duo to brag! David pretends to wipe tears from his eyes, and steps up to the podium for a speech...
... but before a single word can come out, Mack Wheeler's music hits!!! The crowd erupts into cheers, and the arrogant champ turns his head in shock! A moment later, the "Human Semi" walks out and stands on the opposite side of the stage, arms crossed and angry. Mack has a microphone and addresses the champ.
Mack: "No one... and I repeat, no one... wants to hear a single word come out of your mouth. You've said enough. I feel like a speak for everyone here when I say that your run as the supposed 'best' is OVER. This Sunday... that WWE Title is coming with ME! It doesn't matter what it takes. How many chairs are going to be available? 'Cuz I'm gonna bust every single ONE over your skull. How many tables will be nearby? They better order more, because I'm planning to smash you through every single ONE. And there's not going to be enough ladders to do what I really want to do, but all I need... is one. Because after I've beaten you to a pulp, busted every chair and smashed every table... I'm going to climb up the nearest ladder, unhook that belt and walk out as WWE Champion. So enjoy your little self-love fest you got going on here... because after Sunday, you won't be champ anymore!"
The crowd cheers for Mack's threats and the two rivals share an intense glare! Eventually, Mack turns to the crowd and raises the Hook 'Em Horns hand signal before heading backstage. The segment ends with David and Vince angrily chatting!

Backstage Segment
After the ringside commentators recap the show so far and the recent segment, the cameras turn on backstage to see a very angry WWE champ loosening up near the entrance curtain. David seems to be muttering to himself, clearly upset over how the last Slammy Award segment ended. As the "Dangerous Genius" warms up, someone approaches and catches his eye.
Gravedigger: "Hello... partner."
The "Graveyard Monster" steps in and surprises the champ a bit. David snaps out of his anger and looks up at his tag team partner for the main event.
Gravedigger: "Just so you know... I requested the match be changed to a Tornado tag match. I'm not going to tag with you. I'm going to handle stuff myself. We can be on the same team, but don't worry about any strategy. You do what you need to do, and I'll do what I need to do. If we win, great. If we lose, so be it. Just stay outta my way."
David glares at 'Digger, but the "Monster" walks off before the WWE champ responds. The already testy "Genius" resumes his bout of frustration, but the main even is next!

The "Human Semi" takes a few steps back... and spears Gravedigger off the apron! 'Digger bounces off the announce table in pain, and Carson exits the ring to address his rival. Outside the ring, Gravedigger and "The Original" begin a very vicious brawl, trading punches, kicks and various power moves!
Inside the ring, Mack's prowess and strength starts to wear down the "Genius". After hitting a Falcon Arrow, Mack catches a woozy champ with his signature 3-Wheeler!
