There are several rumors about his background, but most them seem far-fetched. Here are a few of the "possibilities"...
Career Overview Year 1: Began the year as a Smackdown-brand competitor... In May, he formed an odd, volatile tag team with Gravedigger... Despite the threat of implosion, they quickly climbed up the tag team ranks and earned a Tag Team Title shot in June... At The Bash PPV, they faced the Hell United team of DMK & Shawn Midnight but were unable to capture the belts... Their hot run fizzled out soon after, and they were unable to earn another title shot... While Gravedigger continued to rise up the singles ranks, Zach struggled to find consistency... In November, 'Digger and Zach officially broke up and a feud began to develop between them... He participated in the 20-man battle royal at the Survivor Series PPV... In December, Zach formed a tag team with Billy Carter and together they joined up with Joseph T. Lutte to form the Foreign Power stable... After Gravedigger captured the Intercontinental Title, Wesley became jealous and their rivalry intensified... Their feud combined with the ongoing Ace & Travis Roarke battle and led to a Fatal 4-Way Elimination title match.... At the TLC PPV, Zach outlasted all 3 opponents, including pinning 'Digger for the final elimination, and won his 1st Intercontinental Title... His reign was short-lived, as Ace coaxed him into a title defense 2 weeks later on Smackdown and the "Ultimate Superstar" pulled the upset to win the title... Zach and 'Digger both made rematch claims, and a Triple Threat title match was made... At the Royal Rumble PPV, Zach challenged Ace and 'Digger for the Intercontinental Title but Ace found a way to retain... Later that night, Zach participated in the 30-man Royal Rumble match... In February, he turned his focus to the World Heavyweight Title and was the final man to earn a spot in the Elimination Chamber match... At the Elimination Chamber PPV, Zach challenged for the World Heavyweight Title in the Chamber match, but was unable to claim Smackdown's top prize... After failing to win, Zach continued to feud with Krizz Torture and challenged for the ECW Title in March, but Krizz was able to retain the belt Year 2: Started the year still as a member of the Smackdown brand and aligned with Joseph T. Lutte and Billy Carter in the Foreign Power stable... Zach & Billy felt disrespected by the "Frenchman", and they decided to end their alliance to him... Zach & Billy stayed partners and started to cause big trouble on the blue brand... In June, Zach won a 6-man battle royal to earn a ECW Title shot... He began to feud with champ Vincent Serum, and used a pre-match sneak attack and smashed Serum through a table to win his 1st ECW Title... A feud developed between Zach & Billy and Serum & Hitman Jack as both teams rose up the tag team division... Serum & Hitman were scheduled to face Parker & Coop in a #1 contenders' match, but Zach & Billy attacked the Olympian duo just prior to the match and replaced them... Despite the shocking change, Serum & Hitman were able to defeat Billy & Zach to earn the Tag Team Title shot... Billy & Zach were upset over the loss, and vowed revenge... At the Night of Champions PPV, Billy & Zach attacked Serum & Hitman Jack just before their title match against American Cool which allowed Antonio & Krizz to easily retain their titles... The cheap attack re-ignited the personal feud between Zach and Serum, but Zach was able to retain his ECW Title on an August episode of Smackdown... In October, Billy & Zach finally became #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles and began to feud with then-current champs Parker & Coop... At the Survivor Series PPV, Billy & Zach beat the Olympian duo to win their 1st Tag Team Title as a team and individually... The win also made Zach a double-champion, as he was still the reigning ECW champ... Despite the big successful run, both of Zach's reigns were threatened in December... Rusty had won a ECW #1 contender's match at the Survivor Series PPV and had enlisted the help of Angus in his feud against Zach & Billy... Also, the Badass Coalition team of Big Mutha Trucker and Tank Blazer had become the new #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles and wanted a title match at the upcoming PPV... During Tribute to the Troops week, Zach defended his ECW Title against Rusty but lost the belt in a surprising upset... A few days later at the TLC PPV, Billy & Zach were unable to defend the Tag Team Titles successfully as they lost to Trucker & Tank... As January rolled around, Zach was extremely angry over losing both of his titles in a matter of days and directly blamed Angus for his shortcomings... Zach became frustrated as the month wore on, failing in his numerous attempts to intimidate the "Irish Giant", and the rivalry was to be settled in a dangerous Inferno match... At the Royal Rumble PPV, Zach and Angus battled tough but Wesley was the one to suffer the decisive burns and lose the match... Zach struggled to regain any consistent success throughout the remainder of the year Year 3: Was still a member of Smackdown as the new year began, but his tag team with Billy Carter had ended as Zach decided to refocus on his own individual rank... Zach had a rough start to the year, racking up several tough losses... In June, he was selected to participate in the King of the Ring Tournament... In the first round, he lost to Guy Justice... Zach was invited onto the second edition of the "In Search of Truth" talk segment hosted by Guy Justice, but a feud developed after Justice controversially tried to turn Wesley into a good guy... Later in the month, Zach defeated Justice in a grudge match to settle their issues... In October, he developed a feud with ECW champ Hitman Jack after attacking his partner H.E.R.O. after a Beat-the-Clock Challenge match... On an episode of Smackdown, Hitman beat Zach in an Extreme Rules match to retain the ECW Title... In November and December, he began to team up with World Heavyweight champ Eric Executioner on several occasions... Mr. Black offered his managerial services, but the "Mohawked Maniac" declined... Zach entered the 30-man Rumble match at #5 and scored a few eliminations before being tossed by Tank Blazer... In March, he participated in a Money in the Bank qualifying match but lost to Hitman Jack |
