June
Year 3
Week 1
The first Raw of June kicks off the night after the Extreme Rules PPV, opening LIVE from Chicago, Illinois!
In-Ring Segment
The ring is setup with a red carpet and a podium in the center as the crowd awaits the appearance of... Mr. McMahon! The WWE Chairman strolls out to the roar of the crowd, and he makes his signature strut down the ramp and into the ring. Vince climbs onto the podium and stands proudly as the crowd continues to cheer. He then addresses the crowd.
Mr. McMahon: "Good evening, Chicago!"
The Windy City fans cheer again as Vince laughs heartily before continuing.
Mr. McMahon: "Folks here in the arena, fans watching at home and all the superstars backstage... I am here tonight to make a HUGE announcement that affects many that call the WWE home. Well let's not waste time, shall we? Without further ado... I am glad to announce..."
A drumroll sound effect plays through the arena as Vince takes a dramatic pause for effect.
Mr. McMahon: "... the return of the King of the Ring Tournament!!!"
The crowd roars with approval as a King of the Ring graphic is displayed on the Titantron. Vince gestures toward the screen and then applauds, clearly happy with the response his announcement received. He then gathers himself and continues.
Mr. McMahon: "So here is the details. Eight competitors from the Raw roster and eight from the Smackdown roster will face off in a single elimination tournament. Weeks 1 and 2 will feature the quarterfinal matchups, with the winners facing off in the semifinals in Week 3. The semifinal winners will then compete in the Raw and Smackdown finals respectively in Week 4. The winner of the Raw bracket will face the winner of the Smackdown bracket at the official King of the Ring PPV, with the final winner being crowned the new King of the Ring!"
The crowd cheers again, but it's clear that Vince has more to add.
Mr. McMahon: "But folks, there is even MORE! The new King of the Ring will receive a prize whose price almost cannot be measured... a WWE or World Heavyweight Championship match! If a Raw competitor wins the tournament, they will get to face the WWE Champion at the Night of Champions PPV. If a Smackdown grappler can earn the crown, then they will get a World Heavyweight title match at the Night of Champions PPV!"
The crowd is surprised at the big announcement but cheers again. Vince smiles widely and closes out his announcement.
Mr. McMahon: "So good luck to all the King of the Ring qualifiers, and get ready for a wild month of June!"
The crowd cheers again one last time as Vince struts back up the ramp to end the segment.

King of the Ring Tournament - Bracket Update
Moments after Mr. McMahon's announcement, the King of the Ring bracket was announced with the Raw qualifiers and matchups in place.
King of the Ring Tournament
Raw Quarterfinal Match: Dylan Dynamite vs. Tank Blazer
The King of the Ring Tournament officially kicks off with 2 former partners facing off in the quarterfinals. As both men made their entrances, the cameras caught Cruiserweight champ and King of the Ring qualifier Lee Money in the crowd. "Cash" seemed to be studying his potential semifinal opponents.
The match between Tank and Dylan was even, with the power of "Captain" clashing with Dylan's speed advantage. But Tank seemed determined to knock his former friend out of the tournament, and took control. But just as Tank began to overpower his foe... Travis Roarke strolled down to ringside! Dylan's tag partner began to circle the ring and distract Tank, which gave Dylan a chance to recover and rally back.
But Tank again reached another level to close out the match. After nailing Dylan with his signature, Tank was poised to win but Roarke jumped onto the apron to cause problems. But Tank ran over and clotheslined him onto the floor below! With Roarke no longer an issue, Tank refocused and slammed Dylan down with his Captain's Choice finisher and covered him for the pinfall to win! Tank celebrated mildly as he earned a spot in the semifinals!
WINNER: Tank Blazer

Backstage Segment
The camera roll in the locker room where the door opens and... DMK walks in! He did earn the victory in the Extreme Rules PPV main event last night, but it came as a DQ thanks to the surprise return and attack by Gravedigger. DMK was at the receiving end of a Cemetery Slam from the "Graveyard Monster", but he seemed to be recovered as he walked into the room and carefully set his duffel bag down on the nearest bench. DMK stands quietly for a few moments, deep in thought. He then breaks his concentration and begins to reach into his bag, but before he can grab anything he receives a tap on his shoulder. DMK turns and the camera pans back to reveal David Degenerate. The "Dangerous Genius" does not seem to be in a happy mood.
David: "Hello... friend."
DMK: "Hello."
David: "... so that's it? That's all you have to say?"
DMK: "Well... that's how most people greet each other."
David becomes more angry. Could the now-former U.S. champ still be sour over his title loss last night at Extreme Rules?
David: "You know what, man? I'm done with this."
DMK: "Done with what?"
David: "Us, man. This partnership is done. I'm sick and tired of pulling my weight and getting no help in return."
DMK: "What are you talking about? We have both worked hard to make our mark on Raw. We have been the most powerful team for months."
David: "Yeah well that power is clearly gone. Last week we lost the Tag Team titles because you couldn't get over your stupid hatred of Carson. And last night, you were nowhere to be found as Trucker beat me to take the U.S. title. Clearly... someone here is not doing their part."
DMK is now the one with the growing anger. He carefully takes off his sunglasses and glares at David with his white eyes. He leans in and responds.
DMK: "Listen here you little punk. I've been battling to reclaim that WWE title from Carson for months and have put most of my focus into doing so. Last night I won but couldn't win the belt because some big 'Monster' attacked me from behind. I'm sorry that I got distracted in the Tag Team title match, but I didn't know Trucker would interfere. I figured you could handle it yourself. And also, about helping you... I don't see the need to help you out every time you run into trouble. You know, I was raised to win fights fair and square. You may be okay with pulling some illegal strings to score a victory, but I'm not. If you couldn't beat Trucker one-on-one then that's your problem."
David shakes his head, taps his chin in thought and replies.
David: "You're right, pal. You're right. My problems are now my problems. Permanently. Got it. Understood."
DMK seems confused by his response, but David smiles slyly as he gives a final comment.
David: "But now... you have just become one of my problems. Guess I'll have to handle that one later. What I'm going to do now is to find someone who truly supports me. So... good luck to you."
David gives DMK a mocking pat on the shoulder and walks off. DMK cocks his head to watch him leave, staring in confusion as the segment ends.

Brittany Black vs. Melina
The Divas #1 contender prepares to face the former Divas champ in a one-on-one battle. The "Evil Diva" seems focused while Melina continues to struggle. Brittany wastes no time in planting Melina with some impressive suplexes and moves, knocking the Hollywood starlet silly. After slamming her down with her signature, Brittany quickly follows up with her Migrainer finishing kick to win the match!
WINNER: Brittany Black
WINNER: Brittany Black
Post-Match Segment
After the match, the normally quiet Brittany watches as Melina is assisted out of the ring by the referee. She then asks the ring announcer for the microphone and walks over to the ropes, leaning over them slightly as she makes her statements.
Brittany: "This is a message for Beth Phoenix, current Divas champ. Beth, I sincerely hope you were watching what just took place. I just DESTROYED a former Divas champ and now she's limping backstage. This is what happens when you mess with the 'Evil Diva'. The pain you will feel will be EXCRUCIATING. The emotional damage is HAUNTING. The reality of losing to me is DEMORALIZING."
The crowd seems surprised at Brittany's harsh comments, but she is not done.
Brittany: "So Beth... hear this message and hear it clearly. I want my shot at the Divas Championship. I became the #1 contender last month and I'm not waiting around. I want a title match. And Beth, just be aware that his message has an expiration date... respond by next week or ELSE."
Brittany drops the mic and walks off, pleased with herself. The wide-eyed responses from the fans closes the segment.

King of the Ring Tournament
Raw Quarterfinal Match: Mack Wheeler vs. Lee Money
In the 2nd quarterfinal matchup of the evening, the "Human Semi" takes on the current Cruiserweight champ with the winner going on to face Tank Blazer in the semifinals. Both men make confident entrances and prepare to face off.
Lee's athleticism gives him an early edge, but Mack rides the momentum of his Raw unbeaten streak to gain control quickly. Mack plants "Cash" with a series of powerful suplexes and slams, including his signature 3 Wheeler combo of German suplexes. With Lee dazed, Mack waits patiently... and blasts him with a Speeding Semi spear! Mack covers and gets the 1-2-3 count, winning the match and moving onto the next round!

Backstage Segment
Backstage we see the Professional Glam team of Brett Diamond and Divas champ Beth Phoenix. The "Glamazon" has her title belt draped over her shoulder. The two beaus are chatting quietly as the camera zooms in to pick up their conversation.
Brett: "So... what are you going to do about Brittany?"
Beth: "Not sure. She sure seems determined. I mean, I'm not one to turn down a challenge but she definitely looked impressive."
Brett: "Well she wants a response by next week. I guess that gives you a week to think it over."
Beth: "Yeah. I will be doing a lot of thinking. No way I want to lose this Divas title."
Brett nods in agreement as the segment ends.

Big Mutha Trucker vs. Shawn Midnight
The final match of the night pitted the new U.S. champ against the Hardcore champ. The crowd went wild for the "Resident Redneck", who displayed his shiny new title belt proudly around his waist. Trucker slid into the ring and raised his arms for the cheering crowd, with a beaming smile across his face. The crowd's reaction then reversed when Shawn Midnight came out, seemingly confident following his successful Hardcore title defense last night at the Extreme Rules PPV. Both men gave each other fierce glares as the bell sounded.
The two champs battled tough, clearly reviving some old blood from earlier feuds. Trucker landed some impressive moves against his Hardcore foe, while Shawn had some powerful counters that left the "Redneck" reeling. The action spilled ringside and that's when the craziness began.
An unwelcome intruder strolled down the ramp... David Degenerate! The "Genius" began to distract Trucker, shouting and taunting him as the U.S. champ tried to focus on his match. Then finally, when David veered too close... Trucker attacked him! The "Redneck" delivered some vicious punches and sent his rival scampering off as the crowd cheered. But David's distraction seemed to be the factor because... the referee called for the bell! Confusion reigned for a brief moment until the ring announcer relayed the decision... a double countout! Shawn and Trucker seemed upset at the ruling but had no leverage.
On the stage, David recovered and smiled at the result. Trucker frustratingly put his hands on his hips and glared at the "Genius" as the crowd released their displeasure.

In-Ring Segment
A familiar blue lightning bolt hit the stage and the crowd watched in near silence as... Gravedigger made his first appearance on Raw! The "Graveyard Monster" made his shocking return last night at the Extreme Rules PPV after a 2-month hiatus and attacked DMK with his Cemetery Slam finisher, causing a DQ loss for WWE champ Carson Pain. 'Digger calmly walks to ringside and doesn't seem to acknowledge the crowd's stunned reaction. He enters the ring and asks for a microphone. Hopefully, he will answer some of the many questions that have surrounded his actions and his sudden absence following WrestleMania. 'Digger stands in the ring and gazes around the arena with his yellowed eyes, showing no emotion under his mask.
Gravedigger: "Many of you are probably wondering why I returned last night at the Extreme Rules PPV and attacked DMK. Many of you are also wondering where I've been for 2 months. And of course, many of you care to know what I plan to do next. Well calm your fragile little hearts... I will give you all the answers you desire."
The crowd is still in a mild state of shock as 'Digger continues.
Gravedigger: "First off... let me address the reason why I took off from the hospital the day after WrestleMania. After my match against Eric Executioner, I felt beaten... betrayed... and frankly, afraid of what I had become. I watched the blood drip from my forehead and soak the edges of my mask and I realized that the FEAR of me was gone. No one had ever... EVER... given me a beating so severe as he did at WrestleMania. Clearly Eric has gone off the deep end, but I continued to reflect on myself and knew that something had to DESPERATELY change before I returned to the ring. Against medical advice, I snuck out of the hospital in the dead of the night and returned to the one place where I truly feel safe... the graveyard."
The crowd gives a surprised reaction to his comments.
Gravedigger: "Now many of you FEAR the graveyard. It's scary, it smells and it conjures images that FRIGHTEN you. I sat amongst the graves... and I let that feeling of comfort soak in. I breathed the stale air. I dug my fingers in the dirt. I walked to each tombstone and paid proper respect to those who had perished. And as I stood in that place, looking around and feeling like myself again, I began to realize... that I needed to bring the FEAR back."
The crowd now is starting to feel a little uneasy.
Gravedigger: "My actions last night were made by myself... FOR MYSELF. I acted alone and I made a conscious decision to attack the one person on Raw that strikes fear into most of the others on the roster. DMK... I've been watching you for months. And I've been studying you. And I've come to one simple conclusion. You... must... be... destroyed."
The crowd starts to buzz.
Gravedigger: "I have serious issues with the way you carry yourself. You claim to be this badass, unstoppable character when in reality... you are just as human as every person in this building. You snub the people and you associate yourself with a selfish lowlife who cares for no one but himself. DMK... I've come back for one reason: to make you SUFFER."
An angry tone begins to develop in 'Digger's voice.
Gravedigger: "I am going to MAKE you feel the FEAR that I describe. You are going to have to go through HELL and back just to feel safe again. It's time for everyone in the WWE and across the world to know that only one person is the SCARIEST and most FEARSOME man... and that man is ME."
Gravedigger pulls the mic down and stares creepily out into the crowd. Then suddenly... Carson Pain's music hits! The crowd shakes off their shocked stares and erupts into a raucous cheer as the WWE champ strolls down to the ringside. Carson is studying 'Digger the whole way down the ramp and slides into the ring cautiously. He begins to slowly circle the "Monster" as the crowd continues to buzz. Carson then stops a few feet away and begins to speak.
Carson: "'Digger... I don't know what your deal is, but I have a bone to pick with you."
Gravedigger slowly turns to face Carson and you can see a slight glare from behind his mask.
Carson: "Now... whatever issues you have with DMK are fine with me. You do whatever makes your heart flutter, ya hear? But here's my problem... don't come interfering in my matches and causing losses that I don't want. You had no right to enter the match and cause chaos. I live my life fighting battles that I believe are fair and just. If a man beats me without any shenanigans, then so be it. I get over it, whatever. If he can beat me one-on-one then more power to him. But I don't believe in all that dirty, behind-the-back nonsense. What you did last night was uncalled for."
'Digger continues to glare but Carson seems unaffected. He even takes a step towards the "Monster" and continues.
Carson: "Now... if you have issues with me, then bring them out and say them to my face. I can take it, like a man."
'Digger pauses for a moment as Carson opens his arms. The WWE champ then stands silently, hands on his hips with the title belt held on his wrist, and awaits his response. 'Digger slowly brings the mic back to his mouth... and extends his hand in the direction of Carson's belt.
Gravedigger: "The only issue I have with you... is that thing in your hand."
Carson looks down at his WWE title belt and seems to get offended. He backs off for a moment, shakes his head and fires back.
Carson: "Look here 'Digger, you haven't..."
But before Carson can finish his sentence... fire pyro blasts from the stage! DMK slowly walks out on the stage to a mixed reaction and then wanders down to the ring. He steps into the squared circle and stands equidistant from Carson and Gravedigger. He raises a mic to his mouth.
DMK: "Now that I have you two here... let's get all the lies out on the table."
Both Carson and Gravedigger give confused looks to DMK as he continues.
DMK: "Gravedigger... you claim that you acted alone last night when you made the poor decision to put your hands on me. Well... I'm here to claim that you are full of crap. I believe that you and Carson are in cahoots and have been in cahoots for a while. Your stupid little video at Backlash? The video and attack last night? I believe that you both planned those events. And I tell you... I applaud your efforts. Good job keeping it quiet for so long. But here's the kicker... you have now royally pissed me off to a level I never thought I could reach. And no matter who I have to go through to get back that WWE title... I will!"
Carson shakes his head in disbelief and can't even get over his anger enough to respond to DMK's allegations. 'Digger locks eyes with DMK and the two men have an intense staredown. Finally, 'Digger raises his mic and speaks.
Gravedigger: "I did not work with Carson against you. I did what I had to do to send you a message."
DMK: "You are a stone cold liar, Gravedigger. Your message is crap and your reasons are dumb. You are protecting Carson from me!"
Gravedigger: "Believe what you want to believe. You will see the truth soon. In fact... do you want proof?"
DMK: "Proof?! Hell yeah I want some proof!"
Gravedigger: "Fine... then here's your proof..."
And suddenly... 'Digger grabs a surprised Carson by the neck! The WWE champ drops the belt and tries to fight the "Monster" off, but his grip is too tight and Carson struggles for air. Then just as swiftly as he grabbed him, 'Digger lifts him up... and plants him to the mat with an explosive chokeslam! 'Digger stands over Carson's limp body and breathes deeply through his nose... before turning and looking at a shocked DMK! DMK's jaw is dropped and he just stares at the scene in amazement. The crowd is also in stunned silence, watching the ring carefully.
The show comes to a close with the camera zoomed in on a knocked out Carson, with the shot angled enough to see DMK and 'Digger standing over him and staring at each other!
Gravedigger: "Many of you are probably wondering why I returned last night at the Extreme Rules PPV and attacked DMK. Many of you are also wondering where I've been for 2 months.

King of the Ring Tournament
Raw Quarterfinal Match: Big Juan Santos vs. Travis Roarke
The show's opening match features Big Juan against the "Assassin" with a chance to advance to the Raw semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament. Big Juan makes his entrance first, and the crowd gives him a pretty warm welcome. But seconds before Big Juan reaches the ringside floor... Roarke attacks the Mexican brute from behind! The crowd is shocked at the dirty blindsided blow, and Roarke continues to put a beating on his foe! Without hesitation, the "Assassin" blasts Santos with his Sactown Special finisher! He rolls Big Juan into the ring and tries for a quick pinfall... but the Mexican rookie kicks out! Roarke is visibly disappointed but follows up with more strikes.
But despite the pre-match attack and vicious combos, Big Juan manages to rally back. He uses his strength to fend off Roarke's combos and lands some nasty slams. All the rallying effort is key, as Big Juan gets Roarke dazed... and catches him with his Ultimo Tango finishing slam! The referee counts the pinfall and Big Juan pulls the upset to advance!
After the match, Big Juan shows sportsmanship by helping Roarke up and offering a handshake, but the angry "Assassin" waves him off and leaves. Big Juan seems offended by the unequaled gesture, but celebrates with the cheering crowd!

In-Ring Segment
The crowd is treated to the entrance of the "Evil Diva" Brittany Black, as she marches to the ring. She clearly has something on her mind. Last week, she challenged Divas champ Beth Phoenix to a title match and asked for a response by tonight, but rumor has it that the "Glamazon" has yet to say anything. Brittany climbs into the ring and stares darkly into the crowd before she speaks.
Brittany: "Beth... I told you last week that I wanted a response from you by tonight's show OR ELSE... I'm going to give you one last shot to come out here and say something before I have to indicate what I mean by 'OR ELSE'. The clock is now ticking..."
Brittany waits patiently, staring at the stage. With every passing moment, she seems to get more and more annoyed. Finally, she turns to face the crowd again and starts to speak... but Maryse's music hits! The former Divas champ comes out onto the stage to the surprise of everyone, including Brittany! What is the French-Canadian beauty doing out here?
Maryse: "Umm... excusez-moi, but I believe that I have an issue with your little challenge."
Brittany seems confused... and more annoyed.
Maryse: "You see my dear ami, I still have not received my rematch for the Divas title. You may have won the #1 contender's match last month, but I am still the true #1 contender. So je suis desolee, but you cannot challenge Beth until AFTER I do!"
Brittany thinks for a moment, clearly bothered by Maryse's comments, and responds.
Brittany: "Well I earned the right to challenge Beth directly when I won that #1 contender's match. So I don't really care that you haven't gotten your title rematch yet... I want mine!"
Maryse: "Then I propose a match... You against moi, next week...with the victor earning a title shot against Beth! What do you say?"
Brittany: "Fine by me! I can't wait to take you out and watch you squirm in PAIN."
Maryse laughs off Brittany's final comment and then walks backstage. Brittany glares at the stage as the segment ends.

David Degenerate & Shawn Midnight vs.
Big Mutha Trucker & Brett Diamond (w/ Beth Phoenix)
A huge tag team match pitting rivals against rivals had the fans excited to see some major action. The "Dangerous Genius" and the Hardcore champ were scheduled to face the U.S. title-toting "Redneck" and the "Professional", and the possibility of unfamiliar partners working together only added to the potential drama!
David D. entered first but wasn't his normal crowd-taunting self, making a more focused entrance to the ring. "Daddy Mack" then came out with a high level of energy, bouncing and strutting to the ring with his Hardcore title strapped around his waist. The crowd's negative reaction for those two changed majorly when Brett & Beth made their entrance! The Professional Glam duo seemed to enjoy the crowd's support and Beth held her Divas title high in pride. But the crowd saved their best response for last... when Trucker came out! The U.S. champ gave a simple gesture to the crowd as he walked to the ring, but it was clear that the "Redneck" liked what he heard from the fans! The 4 men entered the ring and each team talked strategy briefly, and Shawn and Trucker stepped out to begin the match.
Despite the lack of experience as teammates, both duos seemed to work surprisingly well together. Trucker and Brett worked nice tags to give Shawn some serious pain, and even found ways to knock David around. But David's knack for taking advantage of a distracted ref turned the momentum, when following a tag from Brett to Trucker and the ref momentarily escorting the "Professional" back to his corner, the "Genius" nailed Trucker with a low blow! David quickly followed up with a dropkick to Trucker's chin, and the heels had the edge.
But David and Shawn's egos led to their downfall. With the advantage in their favor, they began to knock their foes around. But a miscommunication on a tag from David to Shawn started a little argument between them. David wasn't happy that Shawn tagged himself in, and began to trash talk his partner as he fought in the ring. The bickering between them began to distract Shawn against Trucker, and the "Redneck" took control! With Shawn dazed, Trucker nailed him with his White Noise signature! Brett sensed the moment and dashed across the ring, knocking the "Genius" to the floor! Trucker waited for Shawn to stagger up to his feet... and then blasted him with his Big Foot finishing kick! The following pinfall was simply a formality, as Trucker and Brett closed out a big win!
Beth came into the ring to celebrate with them, and the crowd cheered wildly!

Backstage Segment
After the match, the cameras roll backstage as we hear a squabble taking place. The camera pans around a corner and we see David Degenerate and Shawn Midnight arguing. We can begin to pick up parts of their conversation.
Shawn: "Listen here, bro... I don't have to do anything you tell me to do. I wanted in the match so I tagged myself in. You're the one who can't just let it go."
David: "No man, you need to hear every word I say. I am BETTER than you. There was no reason for you to tag yourself in. We had that match under control and your ignorance cost us."
Shawn: "Better? How in the world are you better than me? Are you a champion? Where's your title belt?"
David: "You think I give a damn about the Hardcore title?! You don't know me then. I was just U.S. champ until that stupid redneck beat me. And trust me... I'm going to get it back."
Shawn: "Ha! You're all talk, Degenerate. You can't hang with me even on your best day."
David: "I guess there's only one way to settle this. See you next week... punk."
That last sarcastic comment angers Shawn but he holds back and watches a frustrated David walk off. David flips a nearby table angrily and turns the corner. The camera pans back to Shawn, who tosses his Hardcore title over his shoulder and shakes his head as the segment ends.

Backstage Interview
After a short break, we see Justin Roberts standing in the interview area awaiting the signal from the camera. He begins speaking after a few seconds.
Justin: "Hello folks, I am here to welcome WWE Champion, "The Original" Carson Pain!"
The crowd erupts into a loud cheer from the arena as Carson steps into frame. The WWE champ smiled briefly at the crowd's reaction but then has a serious expression as Justin continues.
Justin: "Carson, last week you got involved in a minor altercation involving Gravedigger and your main rival DMK. In a heated moment, Gravedigger attacked you in order to prove that he was not working with you. What do you have to say regarding the incident?"
Carson: "Justin... first off, I just want to clarify that even though I have an issue with what Gravedigger did to me, he was correct. I did not ask him to do anything against DMK on my behalf. His own strange actions was on his own, and I do not support anything he has done. Second... I am royally pissed off from what he did to me last week. That cheap shot was uncalled for. If he thinks he's going to come over to Raw and start causing havoc for no reason, then he is going to be in for world of hurt."
Justin: Are you planning to retaliate against him?"
Carson: "Retaliate isn't a good word for that, Justin. What I do want is a regular match against 'Digger... tonight! I want to prove to him and everyone watching that he isn't the 'Monster' he claims to be. I'm the WWE champ, and I'm the best wrestler on the entire roster. I'm going to end his destructive path before it even begins!"
Carson pats Justin on the shoulder and walks off to end the segment. The WWE champ will face the "Graveyard Monster" tonight!

Renegade rolled Alpha into the ring and the ref finally called for the bell to start the match!

Pre-Match Segment
As the fans geared up for the main event, a visitor made his way down to the ring... DMK! The hard-rocking "King" made his entrance and joined the commentary team. Was DMK coming to get a closeup of the main event between Gravedigger and WWE champ Carson Pain? Or was he planning something more... dangerous?
MAIN EVENT: Gravedigger vs. Carson Pain
The fans were on their feet as the highly-anticipated main event came around, an audible buzz generating throughout the arena. Gravedigger came out first, drawing a mixed response from the crowd as the "Monster" stalked to the ring. His eyes unwavered from behind his mask, staring blankly as he climbed into the ring. After entering the ring, he slowly turned his head and locked eyes with DMK and an intense staredown took place.
The crowd then didn't hold back when Carson's Fort Minor theme hit and "The Original" burst through the curtains! The WWE champ pointed to his title belt proudly and beamed a bright smile as the crowd welcomed him loudly! Carson slid into the ring but walked cautiously as 'Digger watched his every move. Once Carson handed his title belt to a ringside official, the referee called for the bell to start the bout!
The men circled each other as the anxiety in the arena grew, with Carson bouncing to stay loose and 'Digger taking very deliberate steps around his opponent. When they finally locked up, the buzz in the crowd had gotten even louder and it continued throughout the match. Gravedigger gained control early, tossing Carson into the corner and blasting him with a clothesline. He then followed it up with a few hard slams, dazing the champ early.
But Carson's knack for fighting back put him in the driver's seat, and the athletic Queens, NY native had the "Monster" reeling. The champ seemed to be coming through on his earlier promise, and DMK remarked on commentary that Carson was impressing him.
But 'Digger seemed to have a new gear and attitude that shocked everyone within view. After gaining control again, the "Monster" was able to plant Carson with his finishing Cemetery Slam! The match seemed doomed for Carson... but 'Digger didn't go for a pin! The "Monster" instead stared down at his wincing foe and studied him strangely as the crowd watched anxiously. Then 'Digger picked up Carson... and slammed him down again with another Cemetery Slam! Carson just seemed completely out of it as 'Digger again stared at the champ's limp body. But again he didn't try for a cover! What was 'Digger doing?
The answer became clear moments later as Gravedigger climbed out of the ring... and grabbed a steel chair from under the ring! DMK rose from his commentary spot and seemed concerned but didn't interfere. 'Digger slid back into the ring and stalked Carson, who was laying in pain on the mat. And with one full swing... Gravedigger smashed the chair across his back! The referee signaled for the bell and awarded a DQ victory to Carson, but it made no effect on 'Digger! The "Monster" continued to wail on the champ, blasting chair shot after chair shot to his exposed back! Carson moaned loudly in pain, and DMK removed his headset and stepped towards the ring. Was DMK going to stop the attack???
The referee tried to stop 'Digger but the big man just tossed him away and continued to bash Carson repeatedly. Then Gravedigger stopped and admired his dirty work with the crowd booing heavily... and turned to stare hard at DMK. The look on DMK's face seemed to be of deep concern but also uncertainty, and he again looked at 'Digger with a shocked expression. The intense staredown between Gravedigger and DMK while Carson lay knocked out in the ring closed the exciting show!

Backstage Segment
Backstage, the cameras roll and we see U.S. champ Big Mutha Trucker nodding and chatting with some producers. The "Resident Redneck" has his title belt draped over his shoulder and stands proudly as the producers go over some minor details with him. The conversation seems to end and Trucker shakes hands with them as they head off in the other direction. Trucker turns and stops suddenly, a scowl coming over his face. The camera zooms out to see... David Degenerate standing in front of him! The "Dangerous Genius" has his arms crossed and a hand on his chin, a sly smirk creeping out from behind his fingers.
David: "Hello friend. Having a good chat?"
Trucker: "David..."
The "Redneck" holds back his anger and takes a deep breath before responding.
Trucker: "Yeah actually I was. It's funny how when you're a CHAMPION that people actually want to work with you!"
The sarcastic comment angers David and his smirk turns to a frown. His arms come uncrossed and he points a finger in Trucker's face.
David: "Listen here, pal. I'm not here to mess around and trade stupid comments. I'm going to cut right to the chase... I want my rematch."
Trucker: "Ha! I figured that what's you came for. Couldn't handle the loss last week and now you're ready to throw your hat back in the ring?"
David: "Hey, that match last week was a complete fluke. If I didn't have a worthless nobody as a partner, you would not have won. Period."
Trucker: "Oh yeah? Worthless nobody, huh? Last time I checked, he ALSO has a title. Can't be a nobody when you got gold."
David: "Whatever. You know nothing about having a title and the pressure that goes with it. Enjoy your little 15 seconds in the spotlight. Tonight, I'm going to beat Shawn Midnight and prove to everyone that I am more worthy of that U.S. title than you will EVER be."
David pushes Trucker out of the way, knocking the title belt off his shoulder and heads towards the locker room. Trucker steps back a bit and gathers himself, angry at the push. He glances down as holds his U.S. belt in both hands. The camera zooms in on the title as the segment ends.
David: "Hello friend. Having a good chat?"
Trucker: "David..."
The "Redneck" holds back his anger and takes a deep breath before responding.
Trucker: "Yeah actually I was. It's funny how when you're a CHAMPION that people actually want to work with you!"

Divas #1 Contender Match:
Brittany Black vs. Maryse
Brittany Black agreed to put her #1 spot and challenge for the Divas title on the line against the former champ Maryse in a one-on-one battle, after the French Canadian beauty interrupted the "Evil Diva" in her threats to current champ Beth Phoenix. The two Divas made their entrances and prepared to battle it out for a title shot.
The match between them was actually very impressive, as both women had their opponent reeling at separate times. Brittany used her strength and multiple kick moves to knock Maryse around, while the quicker French Canadian caught the "Evil Diva" with some nice moves.
In a very shocking finish, Brittany pushed Maryse onto the apron and went to knock her down to the floor. But Maryse counter by shoving a shoulder into Brittany's midsection, and leaped over the top rope and locked Brittany in a tight pinning move! But before the ref could get the 3-count... Brittany leveraged the pin over and had Maryse pinned the opposite way! This time, the referee was able to count the fall and Brittany picked up a very close victory! The "Evil Diva" celebrated as she reclaimed her spot as the #1 contender while Maryse frustratingly kicked herself for falling just short!
WINNER: Brittany Black

Backstage Segment
As the match comes to a close in the ring, the cameras roll backstage and we see Divas champ Beth Phoenix watching the match on a TV. The "Glamazon" shakes her head slightly and seems to be in a little bit of shock over the result. As Beth watches Brittany celebrate and Maryse distraught... Raw GM Stephanie McMahon approaches! Beth sees her approach and the two watch the TV together for a moment.
Steph: "Well Beth... looks like you'll be facing Brittany soon."
Beth: "Hmm... I don't know about that."
Steph seems confused.
Steph: "What do you mean? I was actually really impressed with that match. In fact, I'd be okay with either of those two taking you on. Either way, it would be a good match. I'm just glad to see them settle it out in the ring."
Beth: "Well Steph, I'm gonna be honest. I don't want to face either of them. Brittany's rising fast and Maryse seems to be super determined to get a rematch. How about we just push off the match?"
Steph: "Push off the match? What are you talking about? The last time I checked... you still haven't defended your title within the past month."
Beth shrugs and continues to shake her head at the screen. Steph is starting to get pretty annoyed and steps in front of the "Glamazon".
Steph: "Here's the deal, Beth. I was going to go with tonight's result and make a simple one-on-one match between you and the winner for the Divas title. But seeing your little attitude about this and how close that match was out there, I've come to a simple conclusion. At the King of the Ring PPV, you are going to defend your Divas title against Brittany Black... and Maryse!"
Beth is shocked! But before she can even respond, Steph puts the final comment in.
Steph: "That way, those two get what they DESERVE... and you know what? I guess you do too."
The GM walks off and leaves Beth speechless. A Triple Threat match over the Divas title at the next PPV! The camera zooms in on Beth's face as the segment ends.

King of the Ring Tournament
Raw Semifinal Match: Mack Wheeler vs. Tank Blazer
The 2nd semifinal of the evening is set to take place as the "Human Semi" prepares to face off against Tank with a chance to meet Renegade in the Raw final next week. Mack makes his entrance first and draws a nice cheer from the fans, hoping to keep his unbeaten streak on the red brand alive against a seemingly formidable foe. Mack climbs in the ring and waits patiently, stretching and loosening up. Tank's music hits and the crowd starts to boo, but suddenly... Tank blasts Mack from behind! The crowd's boos get louder as Tank continues the blindside attack, kicking and punching Mack repeatedly and taking advantage of the sneaky move. With Mack dazed, Tank follows up with his Captain's Choice finisher! Tank tries for a pinfall as the ref counts 1... 2... KICKOUT! The angry crowd comes alive as the "Human Semi" finds a last reserve of strength to keep himself in the match!
Tank is furious but Mack is determined to rally back, which he does with a nice series of suplexes, slams and overall aggressiveness. Tank gets his shots in, but it slowly becomes obvious that Mack isn't going to let this match slip away. After catching Tank with his 3-Wheeler signature, Mack waits and blasts the "Captain" with his Speeding Semi spear! Mack gets the cover and the ref counts the pinfall, sending the crowd into a raucous cheer!
Mack celebrates the win and tries to offer a handshake to Tank after the hard-fought battle. But Tank isn't down with the sportsmanship, and pushes his hand away before walking off angrily. Mack is annoyed at the unequaled gesture, and stares down Tank as he leaves. The "Human Semi" is advancing to the Raw final!

Backstage Segment
Backstage, the cameras focus on Big Juan Santos who is stomping around looking like a man on a mission. He angrily shoves open random doors and peers into, clearly looking for someone. He punches a box off a table and furiously knocks over an entire metal set of shelves. He approaches a group of producers and grabs one by the collar.
Big Juan: "Have any of you seen Renegade or Lee Money? Tell me!"
The producers shake their heads and try to back away. Big Juan releases the collar of the producer he grabbed and gives an angry grunt as he walks off. He turns a corner and angrily walks towards the locker rooms as the segment ends.

Shawn Midnight vs. David Degenerate
The final match of the night featured Hardcore champ Midnight against the "Dangerous Genius", made over a spat the two had last week when they lost a tag match against Big Mutha Trucker and Brett Diamond. "Daddy Mack" made his way to the ring first, taunting the crowd and brewing with confidence. David's music hit, and the crowd let out even louder boos for the "Genius"! But David seemed to be taking long to come out and Shawn started to get annoyed standing in the ring. Then suddenly, David attacked Shawn from behind! The "Genius" had snuck through the crowd and blasted his opponent with a blindside clothesline!
David pounced quickly on his foe and locked in his Geniusubmission! Shawn winced in pain as David cranked hard on the move, putting enormous pressure on Shawn's back. But "Daddy Mack" found a reserve of strength and broke out, keeping the match alive. Midnight rallied back, using his size advantage to really put some hurt on David D. But David seemed to outsmart him at every turn, reversing big moves and generally causing disruptions in Midnight's game plan.
In the end, David's early attack and well-timed counters gave him the edge. After delivering a very hard Dirty Kick to Shawn's weakened back, David followed up with a Genius Bomb finisher and pin combo! The referee counted the pinfall just before the Hardcore champ could kick out, and David scored a big victory!
The "Genius" laughed heartily and celebrated as the crowd booed him, while Shawn was kicking himself in frustration over the loss.

In-Ring Segment
Fire blasts off from the stage and Metallica's heavy metal sounds echo throughout the arena as DMK makes his entrance! DMK walks purposefully to the ring and seems to have a deep thought on his mind. He climbs into the ring and sets off his signature corner pyro. The crowd gives him a very mixed reaction but many fans are waiting to see what he has to say. DMK grabs a microphone and stands in the center of the ring, gazing around the arena before speaking.
DMK: "I'm just going to cut to the chase. Gravedigger... get out here!"
DMK looks towards the stage and awaits the "Graveyard Monster". After a few anxious moments, a blue lightning bolt strikes the stage and Gravedigger's theme plays. The curtains slowly peel back and 'Digger appears, pausing for a moment to stare at DMK from afar. He then strolls down the ramp and climbs over the top rope and into the ring. He stands at a significant distance and the two heavyweights just glare intensely. 'Digger motions to DMK that he can continue.
DMK: "Gravedigger... I'm going to ask this question and I demand an honest answer. Why in the world are you so focused on... destroying me?"
Gravedigger tilts his head and stares, a very blank expression showing from behind his mask. He slowly raises the mic to his mouth and speaks.
Gravedigger: "Destroying you... would be too easy. For years in this business, I've tried to create an aura where people are sincerely afraid of what I'm capable of. Nobody has been through what I've been through. And that... includes YOU."
DMK has a slightly confused look on his face as 'Digger continues.
Gravedigger: "You claim to be the 'Dark Men King' and you constantly remind everyone of the HELL you are willing to put others through. On your leather jacket, it even says in bright red letters that 'HELL IS HERE'. And here's the interesting thing... you're right. You do bring HELL. You bring a hard-hitting, nasty attitude to the ring and it has other deeply scared of going up against you. And for that... I applaud you."
The look on DMK's face continues to be confused. Is Gravedigger actually... praising DMK?
Gravedigger: "But here's the truth my little friend... you don't really know what going through HELL is really like. You have NO idea. I've lived in a morgue for most of my live. The cemetery is a place I call HOME. I've laid many people to rest, both of good souls and those of bad. I've seen families suffer from pain and the frightening experience of seeing dead body after dead body. You have NO CLUE what emotions that requires."
DMK looks out into the crowd, deep in thought. He seems to acknowledge what 'Digger is saying, but stands tough.
Gravedigger: "So here's the real reason why I have a problem with you. You represent everything I've ever wanted to be in the WWE. I want to be the one who can scare the living HELL out of every competitor and still have the support of everybody watching. You have abused your role as of late, and that really bothers me. You turned your back on all of these fans and sold your soul to the dirtiest partner anyone could have. You won the WWE title from someone that considered you a friend, and then joined forces with everyone's worst nightmare. But even after all of that, I know there are still people in this arena that have your back no matter what. I WANT THAT! You don't know how bad I just want to feel that undying support... and if I can't get it... then you shouldn't either. I'm going to take EVERYTHING you've ever earned AWAY FROM YOU."
The crowd is shocked at 'Digger's remarks. Gravedigger seems to be both jealous of DMK's success yet angry at his actions, like cashing in Money in the Bank on Renegade last year and forming Hell's Genius with David Degenerate. The two men share an intense staredown as DMK takes in everything the "Monster" has said. DMK then looks out into the crowd and seems to have a somber look on his face. Could 'Digger be right? Did DMK sell his soul for something... he already had?
But just as the mood in the ring starts to change... Carson Pain's music hits! The New York crowd comes to life as the WWE champ and hometown favorite seems to be coming out to interrupt this moment! Gravedigger and DMK look up at the stage and await for Carson's appearance. But suddenly... Carson attacks Gravedigger from behind! The crowd roars approval as the WWE champ gets some much-needed retribution by beating down the "Monster"!
Carson steps back and unsnaps his WWE title belt from his waist and gives a loud shout towards the fans. He then points a finger in DMK's shocked face and turns back to continue his attack... but walks right into Gravedigger's hand! The "Monster" snatches Carson by the neck and begins to choke him heavily! Carson's knee begin to buckle as Gravedigger's eye light up with anger and he puts more pressure on the champ's neck. DMK balls his fists and it seems like he is going to interject himself into the fight... but he somehow holds back.
With Carson nearly passed out, Gravedigger finishes the brawl swiftly by chokeslamming the champ hard onto the mat! Carson again is laid out and red marks can be seen where 'Digger's hand was wrapped. The "Monster" kneels down by Carson's body, breathing deeply to recover from the brawl, and notices the WWE title belt laying close by. Gravedigger looks up at DMK and seems to have an odd look, then slowly reaches over and slides the belt towards him.
Gravedigger picks the title belt up and rises from the mat. The fans are not happy with the scene, but are interested to see what 'Digger is going to do with the strap. The "Monster" approaches DMK and stands mere inches from his face. Then slowly... 'Digger raises the WWE title belt high in the air! The move angers DMK but he just glares deeply into Gravedigger's creepy eyes. The show ends with the camera zoomed in on the fierce staredown... and 'Digger holding that belt to the displeasure of the New York crowd!

Week 4
Raw goes north of the border to Montreal, Canada for another LIVE episode!
Big Juan Santos vs. Lee Money
A little payback is in order to start the show as Big Juan faces the Cruiserweight champ! Last week, "Cash" interfered in the King of the Ring semifinal on behalf of his pal Renegade and helped the party animal upset the Mexican brute to move on to tonight's Raw final. Big Juan was not happy with the result, and was seen searching the halls of the arena in search of Lee or Renegade after the match. Big Juan issued a challenge to face Lee one-on-one, and the fiesty rival accepted!
Big Juan gets a nice welcome from the Canadian crowd, while Lee is showered with boos. But "Cash" seems unaffected by the crowd's reaction and maintains a focused stare on his bigger foe. The two lock up and have a tight battle, impressing the fans in multiple ways.
But in the end, Big Juan's anger and strength give him the edge. After knocking the wind out of Lee's chest following his signature headbutt, Big Juan scoops up "Cash" and drills him down with his Ultimo Tango finishing slam! The ref counts to 3, and Big Juan picks up a big win!
After the match, Big Juan shows a little sportsmanship by offering to help Lee up and extends a hand. But the Cruiserweight champ is angry and brushes Big Juan's gesture away, and frustratingly rips his title belt out of the ref's hands. He then points an angry finger in Big Juan's face, talks a little trash and storms off. Big Juan furrows his brow but doesn't react, and just simply breathes away the anger as he glares at Lee's departing back.
WINNER: Big Juan Santos

Backstage Interview
The cameras roll backstage and we see Raw GM Stephanie McMahon standing proudly and smiling, waiting for Justin Roberts to address her. Justin readies himself and gets his signal.
Justin: "Hello everyone, I am joined today by the General Manager of Raw, Mrs. Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie, you made a bold decision last week when you made a Triple Threat match for the upcoming King of the Ring PPV. Divas Champion Beth Phoenix will defend her title against both Brittany Black and Maryse. Why did you make such a decision, even though Brittany defeated Maryse fairly in a match last week?"
Steph: "Justin, the decision I made was actually very simple. I was impressed by the match Brittany and Maryse put on, and even though Brittany won, it was a very close battle the whole way through. When I approached Beth about the prospects of a match against Brittany, she showed extreme disrespect and I am not one to accept that. So, I decided to reward Brittany and Maryse for their efforts and punish Beth for her comments. See? Simple!"
Justin: "I see. Well, what's next for the trio before their title match?"
Steph: "I'm glad you asked, Justin. I've actually scheduled an interesting tag team match involved all 3 ladies. I figured since Brittany and Maryse are the challengers that they should be opposed the champ. So those two... will team up!"
Justin: "Wow! That is an interesting partnership. But... what about Beth? How is she involved?"
Steph: "Well naturally, she will make up 1/2 of the opposing team. And to be honest... I'm not quite sure who to partner her with. I guess I'll leave that up to her! Thanks Justin... and enjoy the show!"
Steph pats Justin on the shoulder and walks off. Will Beth be able to find a partner soon? She better because... that match is next!

Brittany Black & Maryse vs. Beth Phoenix & ???
The "Evil Diva" enters first and quickly struts to the ring, seeming to be in the mood for a fight. Then Maryse enters next and shows off for the crowd before climbing into the ring. There is a little animosity between the two Divas, but they seem to be ready to put their issues aside in order to gain a little momentum before the PPV. The "Glamazon" comes out and seems to be very nervous as she approaches the ring. She paces outside the ring, glancing towards her opponents and at the stage. Did the Divas champ track down a partner in time?
But after a few anxious moments... the Bella Twins' music hit! Brie and Nikki came out and joined Beth at ringside, and the Divas champ looked surprised! Brie confirmed to Beth that she would team up with her, and Beth seemed relieved. The match began as Beth & Brie, with Nikki cheering on at ringside, against Brittany and Maryse!
The match itself was intense, as both teams seemed to work well and there were multiple close near-falls. But in the end, Brittany and Maryse couldn't seem to stay on the same page. Brittany wanted to really put a beating on Beth, but Maryse continued to tag herself in! Finally, in a heated moment, Maryse tried to tag herself in... and Brittany snatched her by the wrist! Brittany screamed at the French Canadian beauty and pushed her off the apron! The distraction allowed the Divas champ to recover, and she rolled up the unsuspecting "Evil Diva" for a quick 3-count and the win!
Brie and Nikki helped Beth climb out of the ring and handed her her title belt, but Beth staggered as she knew that she barely survived a vicious battle. Brittany was angry at the result and pounded the mat in frustration. Outside the ring, Maryse rose to her feet and just angrily shook her head. The Bella Twins raised Beth's arm in victory to celebrate!
WINNERS: Beth Phoenix & Brie Bella

Backstage Segment
The cameras roll backstage and we see a closeup of someone walking in the hall. The camera slowly pans up and zooms out to see... Gravedigger making his way towards the locker rooms. The "Graveyard Monster" seems to be very focused as he walks, staring straight ahead expressionless. We hear someone approaching quickly and 'Digger stops to see them. He waits and the camera pulls back to see Justin Roberts appear. The Raw interviewer slowly steps up and asks a quick question.
Justin: "Gravedigger! Gravedigger! A quick question?"
Gravedigger: "I suppose."
Justin: "Gravedigger, you've had multiple altercations with WWE Champion Carson Pain and DMK in recent weeks. Many fans are wondering what your ultimate plans are. You have not directly expressed any desire to have a match, yet held the WWE Title above your head to end the show last week. What are..."
Before Justin can finish his question, Gravedigger raises a hand to stop him. 'Digger reaches out and grabs both the microphone and Justin's hand, and slowly pulls him in. Justin seems uncomfortable but can't get out of Gravedigger's grip. The "Monster" leans in and looks darkly into Justin's frightened eyes and speaks.
Gravedigger: "I have a big announcement to make later. What I have to say will address all of your concerns."
'Digger releases Justin and walks off. Justin massages his wrist and winces in pain as he watches Gravedigger leave, and the segment ends.

David Degenerate vs. Big Mutha Trucker
In a preview of the U.S. Title match scheduled for Sunday's King of the Ring PPV, David D. and champ Trucker will go at it one-on-one tonight. Who will gain the momentum heading into the rematch?
Trucker makes his entrance first and receives a nice response from the Canadian fans, and the "Resident Redneck" struts proudly towards the ring. But before the U.S. champ can even reach the ringside floor... David attacks him from behind! The fans boo loudly but David is on a mission, beating Trucker viciously outside the ring! The "Dangerous Genius" lets Trucker stagger to his feet, and then plants him hard with a Genius Bomb finisher right onto the floor! David taunts the crowd after the big move, but his overconfidence gives the "Redneck" enough time to recover. David turns and Trucker starts brawling! The two fight up the ramp and on the stage area, and the fans continue to shout. This match hasn't even started yet!
But unfortunately for Trucker and the crowd, the match never officially gets underway. The two brawl fiercely for several minutes but the action never enters the ring. David tosses Trucker hard into the steel steps, knocking them loose from the ring pillar and hurting the champ's shoulder. David senses an evil opportunity... and picks up the steel steps! He waits for a dazed Trucker to rise to his feet, and then races towards him... and smashes Trucker in the face at full speed with the steps!
The crowd boos heavily as David stands over an unconscious Trucker and catches his breath. The referee officially rules the match a no contest and calls for medical personnel to check on the "Redneck". When they arrive, David backs off without confrontation and just stares at his injured rival. The crowd lets him have it, but David just glares around the arena with a snarl on his face. It looks like the "Genius" means business! Will he bring this intensity Sunday???
RESULT: No Contest

Video Segment
In preparation of the King of the Ring Raw final, a quick video plays on the screen. It shows clips of Mack Wheeler and Renegade discussing the tournament and other topics. An unseen interviewer poses a question, and the video flashes back and forth between Mack and Renegade's responses.
Interviewer: "How would you describe your path to the Raw final?"
Mack: "I've been through 2 tough battles so far, but I'm ready for another challenge."
Renegade: "Nothing I couldn't handle. Two men gone and I move on. Simple as that."
Interviewer: "What is your opinion of your Raw final opponent?"
Mack: "Renegade? I haven't faced him yet, but I'm ready. Lately, he's been trying some underhanded tactics but I don't care. He's going to have to nearly kill me if he wants to win."
Renegade: "He's just another bug I have to squash. He claims to be his 'Human Semi' brute, but I don't see anything special."
Interviewer: "If you win, you will face the Smackdown winner at the King of the Ring PPV with a chance to earn a WWE Title shot at the upcoming Night of Champions PPV. Describe how you would feel if you were able to accomplish that."
Mack: "It would honestly be a dream come true. On Smackdown, I was never able to get a fair World title shot. Beating Renegade and beating whoever at the PPV to earn the title shot would be amazing."
Renegade: "It's been almost a year since I last held the WWE Title, and I was backstabbed by someone who I thought was my friend and lost it. I've been dying to get it back. Winning the tournament and earning that title shot is my #1 focus, and I won't stop at anything to make it happen."
The video shows a few highlights of Mack and Renegade's tournament victories and fades to black.

King of the Ring Tournament
Raw Final Match: Mack Wheeler vs. Renegade
With the chance to represent Raw in the King of the Ring PPV Final on Sunday, Mack Wheeler looks to protect his unbeaten streak since coming over to the red brand against the party animal Renegade! Mack enters first and gets a loud roar from the crowd, and the former Texas Longhorn stalks to the ring and appears ready for war. As Mack climbs into the ring and loosens up, Renegade's Korn theme hits and the crowd reverses course and sends out the jeers! But Renegade maintains his composure and moves athletically to the ring, including his signature push-ups at the bottom of the ramp. He enters the ring and the two Raw finalists stare each other down intensely, and the tension in the arena rises as only 1 of these competitors will get their chance to earn a WWE Title shot!
The match itself was back and forth and had plenty of big spots, as each man tried their hardest to pull off a big win. The first shocking moment happened early as Renegade had control, knocking Mack silly with his Boot Down signature... and preparing for a very early Kick-olution! Renegade waited patiently and nailed the "Human Semi" with his finishing kick! He went for the cover and the referee counted 1... 2... KICKOUT!!! Mack kept himself alive with an amazing kickout, leaving Renegade shocked!
Later, the ref got too close to the action and a wayward clothesline sent the official hard onto the mat! With the ref down, the men took advantage and brought the foreign objects out! Multiple chair shots were delivered, including one that busted open Mack's forehead. Renegade managed to get momentum again, and had Mack down for the count. But suddenly, an intruder entered the fray... Big Juan Santos! The Mexican brute wanted revenge for the sneaky tournament win Renegade had last week, and dashed down the ramp and into the ring... unknown to Renegade! When the party animal turned away from Mack for a split second, he walked right into Big Juan's Ultimo Tango finisher! The crowd went wild for the big move, and Big Juan seemed very satisfied with the successful payback!
Big Juan exited as the referee, Mack and Renegade all slowly began to come to their senses. The match continued as both men seemed worn out, and desperate for a big move. After reversing a move, Renegade again struck Mack with a Boot Down and followed up quickly with another Kick-olution! Renegade exhaustedly crawled and covered, and the ref again counted 1... 2... KICKOUT! The crowd roars again as Mack finds just enough strength to get a shoulder up, and Renegade puts his hands to his head in disbelief!
Despite the resiliency, Mack can't seem to overcome the blood loss. He tries to battle back, but soon Renegade gets the edge and never lets it go. After another hard-shot Kick-olution, Mack is down for good and Renegade finally gets the deciding pinfall!
Renegade can barely stand as he celebrates the win, which sends him to the PPV final! The crowd is not happy with the result, but applauds due to the great match. Renegade only needs 1 more win to earn a WWE Title shot!
WINNER: Renegade

In-Ring Segment
A blue lightning bolt hits the stage and Gravedigger's music plays, drawing some serious moans and groans from the crowd. Soon, the "Graveyard Monster" appears and walks casually down the aisle, stopping briefly to shake his head at the crowd and glance around with a dark scowl from behind his mask. He climbs into the ring and requests a microphone, standing in the middle of the ring and pausing to listen to the crowd's negative feedback. 'Digger raises the mic to his mouth and speaks.
Gravedigger: "When I was collecting my thoughts back home, I knew that there was 2 things I needed to do when I returned and officially joined the Raw roster for the first time. One... I knew that no matter what people thought of me, I was going to focus on myself. So you people here in the crowd and those watching at home... you can hate on me all you want, but remember that I THRIVE off of it. I'm going to do whatever I want, regardless of the risk involved and regardless of what you all think."
The crowd does not like that, but 'Digger continues.
Gravedigger: "... and two... I want to become WWE Champion. It's the one thing that can validate me and everything I've done so far. When I won the World Heavyweight Title, barely anybody cared. I beat a man that you all hated and nobody batted an eye. You people gave more of a cheer when I LOST the title than when I WON it. So this time, I'm going to win that belt and shove it in everyone's faces. If you aren't scared of this 'Monster' by now... you will be soon."
Gravedigger lets his last comment sink in a bit.
Gravedigger: "Therefore, I've come out here tonight to make a formal announcement. I am going to officially challenge..."
But suddenly... fire pyro blasts off from the stage and DMK's theme hits! The crowd actually gives DMK a decent reaction as he steps out onto the stage. Gravedigger turns and faces him... but doesn't necessarily seem that angry.
DMK: "Whoa whoa whoa... I'm going to stop you right there. There is no way in HELL that you are going to challenge for the WWE Title."
The crowd gives a big cheer as DMK rolls on.
DMK: "First of all, you haven't beaten anybody on the Raw roster so there's no way you can even claim to be the #1 contender. Second... you don't deserve to face a champion like Carson Pain."
The crowd is surprised at that comment.
DMK: "After last week... I did a little soul searching. You said some things that made me think about what I've done recently, and you know what? I stand behind what I did. Some people may not have liked it, but I'm not going to live in the past. I'm going to move forward and I'm still going to try for my goals. You my friend... are still wallowing in what you didn't get or what you think you deserve."
The crowd gives a little cheer.
DMK: "I'm going to be honest. I was impressed when Carson attacked you last week. Despite all the crap you've put him through lately, he wasn't going to go down without a fight. And even after what I've put him through... he's still willing to give it everything he's got. And for that, I admire him. Which means 1 simple thing for you... YOU are nowhere near Carson's LEVEL. Which also means one other thing... if you want Carson, you're going to have to go through ME first!"
The crowd gives another cheer. But in the ring, Gravedigger seems to be slightly... chuckling?
DMK: "So here's the lowdown, Gravedigger. I am officially challenging you to a match this Sunday at the King of the Ring PPV. I'm going to prove to everyone that you are a complete fluke and your whole 'Monster' mantra is nothing but hot air. What do you say, punk?"
DMK stands proud and glares at 'Digger. The "Monster" seems to be pleased and responds quickly.
Gravedigger: "Ha ha ha... you fool. That's what I've wanted all along..."
DMK looks confused and starts to get angry.
Gravedigger: "I told you last week that I wanted to destroy you and take everything you have away from you. The only way to do that is to beat you into a bloody mess in front of every fan, official, man, woman and child. I want a No DQ match. I am going to make you suffer PAIN you didn't even think you could imagine. You have no idea what you've just done... and that's just the way I like it!"
The two heavyweights glare at each other intensely as the tension rises in the arena, and a buzz starts to grow in the crowd. These two men will go at it Sunday, with what seems to be the dark soul of Raw on the line! The camera zooms in on their scowling faces as the show comes to a close!
