April through June
Year 2
April
After a thrilling WrestleMania, the fallout and new developments caused major chaos on the Raw brand. With WrestleMania over, a new "season" began with a WWE Draft for both brands, injecting some new blood into both shows' rosters. On the first episode of the month, it was announced that Travis Roarke, Alpha & Omega, Michelle McCool and the Bella Twins were going to switch over to the red brand. But the biggest draft pick of all was announced at the closing of the show when Raw GM Stephanie McMahon revealed that... Carson Pain was going to be a new member of Raw! "The Original" had just lost his World Heavyweight Title the night before at WrestleMania, but was given a new chance to thrive on Raw!
Carson made an impact in his first Raw match the following week, winning a 4-way ladder match to claim a spot as the new #1 contender for the WWE Title! This put him in direct line for David Degenerate's championship, but as the month rolled on, he was not the only one with legitimate claims for a title shot. Renegade was in position to win the title at WrestleMania before David swooped in at the last second, so the unstable party animal demanded another chance. And in a surprising turn of events, Hardcore champ and Badass Coalition teammate Big Mutha Trucker got involved in the WWE Title picture too. The "Resident Redneck" reminded everyone that he nearly beat David in the Elimination Chamber match a few months before, and supported his cause by upsetting Carson on Raw! David was confused why his own stablemate would want to take his own title, and their relationship continued to deteriorate. Since the WWE Title race was a chaotic mess, Stephanie McMahon made a big decision... a Fatal 4-Way title match at the Backlash PPV!
The draft brought in some new challengers, but it also sent a few big names to the blue brand. One of the biggest names to leave was Antonio Jordan, which left DMK, Corey Youngblood and the Good As Hell stable in limbo. As a result of Antonio's departure, DMK decided to go solo and end the alliance. He kept good relations with Youngblood even if they weren't considered a team anymore. The new Money in the Bank briefcase holder was vulnerable, and the Badass Coalition tried to pounce. With David and Trucker locked into the WWE Title battle, Tank Blazer & Dylan Dynamite took it upon themselves to take DMK out once and for all. After repeated attacks, they challenged him to a Handicap match at Backlash in hopes of embarrassing him on a bigger stage.
Some of the other new draftees also made an impact right away. Michelle McCool won a #1 contender's match and challenged Divas' champ Melina to a title match at Backlash, while Travis Roarke quickly showed that the former Intercontinental champ was going to definitely be a mid-card force.

May
The month of May witnessed many significant moments, including the culmination of a long journey for the unstable party animal. Renegade, who had been chasing the WWE Title for months and fallen just short each time, finally claimed the sole #1 contendership by defeating Carson Pain early in the month. His stable, the Theory of Revolution alongside Rebel Ford & Melina, had been growing in popularity for a while and Renegade's meteoric rise up the rankings ran parallel to that. Fans viewed Renegade as an authentic, non-establishment challenger and were passionately rooting for him to take down champ David Degenerate. Throughout the month, David D. continued to point out Renegade's past failures and flaws, while Renegade would respond with sad truths, calling out the champ for his dirty, underhanded tactics. Renegade delivered a memorable, emotional monologue days before the Extreme Rules PPV, indicating how much winning the WWE Title would mean to his career and personal past. The verbal and physical confrontations fired up both men and the crowd, leading to one of the more highly-anticipated title matches!
Speaking of Renegade's allies, Rebel Ford and Melina each had their own issues to deal with. First, the reigning U.S. champ was faced with a new rival as recent draftee Travis Roarke quickly ascended the rankings. After the "Assassin" earned a title shot, he and the rebellious rookie battled all month long en route to an exciting title match. On the other hand, Melina entered the month on a sour note. The Hollywood starlet had her 395-day reign as Divas' champ come to an end at the Backlash PPV to Michelle McCool, but she was determined to win her title back. The rivalry between the tough females got more intense and a rematch was scheduled for the next PPV.
Mr. Money in the Bank had a very wild month, which featured him getting revenge on an old rival, giving a gift to an old friend and receiving assistance from an unlikely source. DMK entered the month fresh off another victory over the Badass Coalition at Backlash, beating Tank Blazer & Dylan Dynamite in a Handicap match. But instead of having a moment to feel pride, he was verbally and physically attacked by Hardcore champ Big Mutha Trucker. The "Resident Redneck" let his confidence get the best of him, offering to put his title on the line against the "King". On the 2nd episode of the month, DMK and Trucker squared off with the belt on the line and in a shocking moment... the "King" pulled off the upset! DMK ended Trucker's 2nd Hardcore reign and raised the title for the first time! But what might have been more surprising was what he decided to do the following week. Satisfied over the win but with his attention seemingly focused elsewhere, DMK made a bold move and handed over the Hardcore Title to former stablemate Corey Youngblood! The former hockey player was ecstatic to be crowned the new Hardcore Champion, and the act infuriated Trucker! The "Redneck" and Tank Blazer responded by viciously attacking DMK multiple times, and it seemed like the Badass Coalition had been re-invigorated in their goal of damaging their long-time rival. But luckily for DMK, someone stepped in and gave him help... Carson Pain! "The Original" saved the "King" from an attack, and made it known that he would not let the Badass Coalition continue to bully anybody around. Trucker & Tank wanted to face off against the unlikely duo at the next PPV, and a match was made available thanks to another rivalry raging on Smackdown. That rivalry would also give DMK another boost as it featured... former ally Antonio Jordan! The "Mastermind", who had been feuding with Ace all month, agreed to team up with DMK & Carson in a 6-man tag match!
The Badass Coalition tried to become stronger by subtraction, due to their controversial actions at Backlash. After DMK upset Tank & Dylan in a Handicap match, someone was deemed not good enough to remain part of the group. David D., Trucker & Tank approached Dylan backstage and attacked him, blaming him for their recent struggles, and kicked him out of the Coalition. Dylan spent the month in a swoon, trying to make sense of why he was the scapegoat.
In other news, the Cruiserweight Title saw a mini-feud develop on the red brand. Reigning champ Lee Money had been strong for a few months, but a new challenger emerged early in May. Alpha, one-half of the Japanese luchador duo, earned a title shot during the first week and got plenty of support from teammate Omega. Days before the PPV, Lee & Alpha faced off on Raw with the title on the line... and the Japanese high-flyer defeated "Cash" and claimed his first singles' belt!

MAJOR HISTORICAL MOMENT:
DMK gifts Hardcore Championship to Corey Youngblood
Backstage, the cameras roll and we see Corey Youngblood taping his wrists in the locker room. We hear someone approaching him and the camera pans back to reveal... Hardcore champ DMK! The crowd gives a loud cheer from the arena as DMK walks over and stands near Corey. Corey senses his presence and turns and greets him warmly, patting his ally on the shoulder.
Corey: "DMK! Hey bud, what's up?"
DMK: "Nothing much, just arrived at the arena. So... I have a gift for you."
Corey is surprised and interested. DMK reaches into his duffel bag and pulls out... the Hardcore Title! He brushes it off, folds the straps underneath and holds it out!
DMK: "Here you go, friend. I am giving you the Hardcore Title."
Corey's eyes widen as he looks down at the belt. He holds his hands out slightly but seems tentative to accept the belt.
Corey: "Are you sure? But... why? Why are you giving it up? You just won it last week!"
DMK: "I know, I know. But I feel like I have bigger things to accomplish. You deserve this belt more than I do. I was happy to beat Trucker and take it away from him, but I knew I was going to beat him and ruin his night. You've worked hard and have tried to win it multiple times, and you deserve it."
Corey: "Wow! Umm... thanks! I really appreciate it!"
DMK: "No problem. You are now officially the new Hardcore Champion!"
Corey grabs the belt and cradles it in his hands, studying it for a moment and then excitedly tosses it over his shoulder. He looks at DMK proudly and shakes his hand.
Corey: "Thanks again, man. This is awesome!"
DMK: "Good to hear. Good luck. I'll see you later tonight."
Corey nods happily as DMK walks off. The camera zooms in on the very proud face of NEW Hardcore Champion, Corey Youngblood, as the segment ends!

June
As the summer months began, the WWE fans were buzzing after the exhilarating victory for Renegade at the Extreme Rules PPV, beating David Degenerate to win his 1st career WWE Title. When Renegade appeared the night after on Raw, the crowd erupted into an ear-shattering roar to welcome the new WWE champ! Renegade's moment was special but the honeymoon did not last very long. First, David D. interrupted and addressed his rival in a very angry tone, demanding a rematch at the following PPV. The confident party animal agreed, but that set off a wild chain of events that had him being pulled in multiple directions.
Despite being the popular new champ, the challenges arising from that status crept up right away. Later in that first Raw show after his win, he took on Dylan Dynamite with ally Rebel Ford at ringside. Everything seemed fine as the champ scored the win, and the Theory of Revolution duo celebrated post-match. But suddenly... Rebel attacked Renegade! The crowd was stunned as Rebel knocked his friend down to the mat and walked off angrily. The following week, Rebel revealed that he was offended over Renegade's burgeoning popularity while he was left to fend for himself, and he lost his U.S. Title to Travis Roarke as a result. The rebellious rookie decided to sever ties with the WWE champ, ending the Theory of Revolution group. Melina was caught in the middle, but decided to join Rebel in his defection. Rebel and Melina then turned their attention back to Travis, as they wanted to use the rematch clause to hopefully win back the U.S. Title.
So now Renegade was flying solo, and the Badass Coalition pounced on the now-vulnerable champ. With David's guidance, the group used a combination of mind games and physical attacks against the party animal to hopefully break him down and weaken him before the title rematch at The Bash. Their tactics seemed to work until... DMK stepped in to give the champ some help! Mr. Money in the Bank himself protected and teamed up with Renegade several times, putting a wrench in their rivals' game plan. The Badass Coalition was furious as the "King" butted into the rivalry, but it seemed to reverse Renegade's downward spiral and allowed him to regain his composure heading into the PPV!
The Badass Coalition may have lost their biggest power item in the WWE Title, but they were able to regain a title to open the month. Big Mutha Trucker lost his Hardcore Title to DMK midway through the previous month, and was extremely infuriated when he willingly gave the title to Corey Youngblood the following week. Due a rematch, Trucker challenged the former hockey player to a match on the first Raw of June. Despite an honorable and violent defense from the champ, a hungry "Redneck" claimed victory and his 3rd Hardcore Title in less than a year.
In other news, Theory of Revolution was not the only team kicked to the curb this month. The once-popular P.I.M.P.S. group, weakened after the loss of Brett Diamond back in March, ended their run when Shawn Midnight turned on Lee Money. Shawn gave a nasty promo the following week, turning heel in the process, claiming that "Cash" was an unworthy ally and was holding him back. "Daddy Mack" also said that he had unfinished business to settle, which left the fans wondering what he meant.
And finally, the Divas' Title picture got interesting as 3 women developed a wild feud. Champ Michelle McCool was still battling Melina, but a new challenger entered the fray. Maryse upset the Divas' champ on a episode of Raw, giving herself a legitimate claim to a title match. Raw GM Stephanie McMahon decided to give each woman an equal chance, announcing a Triple Threat match for The Bash PPV!
