Paulie rocked and partied his way through nearly every bar on the famous Jersey Shore, making a name for himself as a DJ and street dancer. After a piece of faulty DJ equipment started a small fire at a party, Paulie was unable to find work and was forced to find a new career. He had previously provided music for several wrestling events in the New Jersey/New York area, and knew that he has enough athletic prowess to try the sport. As it turned out, the Jersey Fist-Pumper was a natural in the squared circle and very quickly made a new name for himself. After winning the light-heavyweight title twice and the tag team title twice in a local New York independent circuit, the WWE became intrigued after the MTV show "Jersey Shore" became popular. They offered Paulie a contract, and he eagerly signed up. Since then, Paulie has danced and jigged his way into a successful gig at pro wrestling's highest level.
