Career Overview
Year 2:
Appeared following the Elimination Chamber PPV in February and recruited Eric Executioner to be his new client... He helped dramatically change Eric's demeanor from a cocky, arrogant narcissist into a silent, aggressive monster... He convinced Eric to continue his feud with Gravedigger, which led to a No DQ, "Loser Leaves the Brand" match at WrestleMania... Eric brutally defeated Gravedigger to force him to leave Smackdown
Year 3:
Began the year still managing Eric Executioner... Eric dominated for several months, culminating in a King of the Ring Tournament appearance... Eric defeated Paulie Dominos, Guy Justice and H.E.R.O. to qualify for the King of the Ring PPV against Renegade... Eric beat Renegade to win the King of the Ring Tournament and earn a World Heavyweight Title match at the next PPV event... Throughout July, Mr. Black & Eric attempted to intimidate World champ Rebel Ford and his girlfriend, Women's champ Eve, through physical violence and psychological ploys... At the Night of Champions PPV, Eric defeated Rebel to win his 3rd World Title... A few days after Eric's victory, Mr. Black ended his lengthy silence and delivered a scathing monologue, accusing everyone of "allowing" Eric to dominate and rise quickly back up the ranks... With Rebel looking for a rematch, Mr. Black concocted a plan to abduct Eve and perform unknown mind control techniques on her... Rebel was able to save her but the damage was done, and Mr. Black used psychological games to keep an advantage for his client... Days before the Summerslam PPV, Mr. Black offered Rebel a difficult choice concerning the World Title rematch - lose the match intentionally and Mr. Black would end his mental games, but if he won the psychological problems would continue!... During the match, Rebel fought hard and worried Mr. Black with his effort... Mr. Black ordered Eric to use a steel chair and take a DQ loss, which he did although reluctantly... The DQ loss preserved both Eric's World Title reign and Mr. Black's desire to maintain a psychological advantage... A few days later, Eric and Mr. Black made a surprising appearance during a Women's Title match, causing Eve to lose the match and her belt... After their interference, Eve broke off her relationship with Rebel and it caused a severe shift in Rebel's mindset... Rebel began to fight back against Eric with no fear, which began to worry Mr. Black deeply... Rebel requested a Hell in a Cell match and Mr. Black offered to put the World Title on the line, which angered his client... At the Hell in a Cell PPV, Eric injured Rebel and managed to win the match to retain his title... In October, a returning Ace challenged Eric to a title match but at the Judgment Day PPV, Eric retained the title and attacked Ace after the match... In November, Antonio Jordan beat Ace to become the new #1 contender... Despite showing no fear of Mr. Black and Eric, Antonio couldn't defeat Eric and claim the World Title at Survivor Series... In December, Triple H replaced Teddy Long as Smackdown GM, citing corruption involving Mr. Black... Triple H scheduled a 4-way TLC match for the next PPV, with Ace, Antonio Jordan and a returning Rebel Ford... Mr. Black revealed during a main event match days before the PPV that he was the new manager for Eve Torres, shocking everyone especially Rebel Ford... At the TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV, Eve won the Women's Title in a Triple Threat match and Eric narrowly retained his title in a Match of the Year candidate... On the first Smackdown of January, he & Eric held a title celebration but were interrupted by Angus, who cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase... Angus upset Eric to win the World Heavyweight Title... Eric & Mr. Black demanded an immediate rematch, but Smackdown interim GM Triple H scheduled it for the next PPV and threatened Eric with suspension if he attacked Angus outside the confines of a normal match... At the PPV, Mr. Black was ejected for interference and Eric was unable to win, allowing Angus to retain the World Title... In February, he supported both Eve and Eric in their title matches for Elimination Chamber... Eve defeated Jersey Jenny to retain the Women's Title but Eric was eliminated in the World Heavyweight Elimination Chamber match... In March, Eric earned the #1 contender spot to get another chance to face Angus for the World Title while Eve had a first-round bye in the Women's Championship Unification Tournament... The results were unfortunate for both, as Eve lost her title in semifinal match against Audrey Vega and Eric was pinned by Angus at WrestleMania
