In August, she retained her title against Eve Torres at the Summerslam PPV... The following month she joined Renegade and Rebel Ford as part of the Theory of Revolution group... In October, Natalya earned the #1 contender spot and challenged her to a Divas Title match at the Bragging Rights PPV, but again Melina retained... She began to get really close with Rebel Ford and supported him on his quest for the U.S. Title Year 2: Reached a full-year reign of the Divas Title when the new year began... A new threat appeared immediately though as Michelle McCool was drafted over to Raw and quickly claimed the #1 contender spot... At the Backlash PPV, Michelle upset Melina to end her long reign... In May, she got a title rematch against Michelle at the Extreme Rules PPV but failed to reclaim the title... In June, Rebel turned against Renegade after the party animal captured the WWE Title but Melina decided to stay with Rebel as the Theory of Revolution group officially ended... She also received another opportunity for the Divas Title in a 3-way match against champ Michelle McCool and new challenger Maryse, but again Michelle kept the title... In September, Melina finally won back the Divas Title by defeating Michelle at the Hell in a Cell PPV... The following month, the two rival Divas were put together to represent Team Raw against the Team Smackdown of Eve Torres and Natalya at the Bragging Rights PPV, but a miscommunication led to a victory for Team Smackdown... In December, Maryse became the #1 contender and faced Melina at the TLC PPV for the Divas Title... Maryse defeated Melina in cheap fashion to win the title, but despite Raw GM Stephanie McMahon ordering an immediate title defense, Melina was unable to win back the belt... In January, she competed in a Divas battle royal at the Royal Rumble PPV against Michelle McCool, Alicia Fox and Beth Phoenix but finished runner-up to rival Michelle Year 3: At the beginning of the year, Rebel was drafted to the Smackdown brand and won the World Heavyweight Title in his first match... The two came to a seemingly mutual split after that, due to the fact that Melina was still on the Raw brand... This breakup caused her to go into a significant losing streak... In June, her jealousy of the new relationship between Rebel and Women's champ Eve led to her stalking them for several weeks... She formed a partnership with Rebel's main rival Ace, and she upset Eve on an episode of Smackdown... This led to a "Winner Take All" mixed-tag match at the King of the Ring PPV, pitting Melina and Ace against Rebel and Eve, with both the World Heavyweight and Women's titles on the line... Melina took the pinfall from Eve that allowed the champion couple to retain the titles, and Melina was forced to return to the Raw brand... She didn't participate in any major matches throughout the winter... In March, she lost to Sunny Silva in the 1st round of the Women's Championship Unification Tournament |
