He is a brawling, muscle-bound monster who can knock out any opponent with a powerful spear or a well-executed suplex, and he strikes fear into every grappler he greets. Growing up in Austin, his father was a prep wrestling coach and coached Mack in the sport at nearly every level he competed in. In high school, Mack dominated his weight classes and won 2 individual state titles and finished 2nd as a sophomore. His accolades caught the interest of several Division 1 college programs, but there was only one Mack was truly interested in... the University of Texas in his hometown of Austin. After receiving the scholarship offer he had been waiting for, Mack accepted and immediately absorbed himself into the Longhorn culture. He won 2 conference titles while at Texas, and finished in the top 4 nationally twice including a 3rd-place finish as a senior. Following graduation, Mack wanted to continue the sport but was unable to qualify for the U.S. Olympic team. Needing work, he took a job as a truck driver and began long-distance deliveries. During his tenure on the road, he caught a pro wrestling show and was impressed with the performances. After he completed 2 years behind the wheel, Mack scrapped together some savings and entered a pro wrestling training camp. His wrestling skills showed through quickly, and his brute strength impressed the trainers. After finishing camp, he signed with a Louisiana independent league and rose up the ranks. He won the mid-card title 3 times, the tag team titles once and ended his tenure with a long heavyweight title reign. The WWE caught wind of his abilities and offered him a contract, and in his final appearance in the independent league he forfeited the heavyweight title and received a standing ovation. He entered the WWE's developmental program but only spent 5 months there before getting a promotion. Since then, the "Human Semi" has been running over opponents at dangerous speeds.
