For Joey, the Midwestern farm boy whose quick moves and never-ending stamina earned him the nickname "Fast and Furious" as he became a Nebraska high school state champion wrestler. His mat success earned him a college scholarship, during which he won 2 individual conference titles and finished 2nd nationally as a senior. He loved wrestling and decided he wanted to go even bigger - the Olympics! He practiced hard and earned a spot on the U.S. team in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Joey was unable to bring home the gold, but the friend he made led him to the next step in his career. Tommy Parker was a teammate and they became great friends and practice partners. After the Olympics, both grapplers returned to the U.S. looking for their next wrestling challenge. They both joined a pro wrestling camp and touted themselves as the next big tag team. Their in-ring work and out-of-ring wholesome American appeal made them fan favorites quickly and they dominated the independent tag team division. After capturing multiple tag team titles, the WWE offered them a contract and they gladly accepted. These American heroes now grapple with the best tag teams in the WWE and make their love of wrestling appealing to fans of all ages.
